Although the movie was a big hit among the audience who are longtime fans of The Clark Sisters, many were not happy to see Karen Clark Sheard's husband name on the project. Fans also were not pleased to see his name first before the Clark Sisters in opening credits considering it was the sisters' story and their story alone.
