During the season premiere of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions,” six acts said goodbye after failing to make it through to the next round: pop singer Jack Vidgen, dance crew Junior Creative, dancers Paddy & Nicko, comedian Dan Naturman, subway singer Mike Yung and strongman singer Eddie Williams. Of these unfortunate eliminees, a leading 41% of “Agt” viewers believe Jack was the act that was “robbed” the most. This winner of “Australia’s Got Talent” 2011 was hoping to make a big comeback in the singing world after taking a break over the past few years, but alas, he was cut in the first round of “Champions” Season 2.
Close behind Jack at 37% was Junior Creative, the shadow dance team who won “Myanmar’s Got Talent” 2018. The only other act to crack double digits in our poll results was Paddy (age 85) and Nicko (age 45) at 10%, the dance duo who previously made it to the semifinals...

If the 3rd annual Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards could be categorised as a David vs Goliath battle between The Rocket and The Great Gatsby, Goliath is the hands-down winner.
Baz Luhrmann.s opulent romantic drama won six awards tonight, for best film, director, adapted screenplay, lead actor Leonardo DiCaprio, supporting actor Joel Edgerton and supporting actress Elizabeth Debicki.
That.s in addition to the six awards in craft categories plus the Aacta award for outstanding achievement in visual effects bestowed on Luhrmann.s film on Tuesday.
Kim Mordaunt's The Rocket, which had 12 nominations versus 14 for Gatsby, had to be content with just one trophy, for Mordaunt.s original screenplay.
The outcome is likely to reignite the debate about the near-impossibility of comparing a lavishly-mounted 3D film financed by Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures, which cost $160 million, with an independently-funded Lao-set film from a first-time director budgeted at about $2 million.

Dannii Minogue has labelled Sharon Osbourne's return to the X Factor judging panel as "risky".
The former X Factor judge, who had an acrimonious relationship with Osbourne when they served together on the 2007 show, told The Mirror that bringing back former judges is a gamble for showrunner Simon Cowell.
She said: "I read they are going back to the original auditions and Sharon Osbourne is coming back.
"That's risky. Either people will go, 'We have moved on' or go, 'Amazing'. I won't be watching, I haven't watched any of the shows since I left."
Minogue continued: "I think Louis will have fun with Sharon. But with any of those shows around the world, watch this space.
"The audience decide if they like the lineup. Simon has always been ballsy to make those kind of decisions.
"When he moved it to the big live audience I was like, 'Are you kidding?...

She’s definitely one of the most in-demand stars in the land down under, and Melanie Brown's multiple shows are warring over her.
A judge has signed a restraining order preventing the former Spice Girl from appearing on Channel Nine’s new version of “Australia’s Got Talent,” despite an official report that she’d joined the cast.
The reason? Channel Seven already has the rights to Melanie for their program “The X Factor,” through 2014, so it would be unfair competition.
Furthermore, the court ordered Mel’s hubby Stephen Belafonte not to “assist, induce, or otherwise procure Brown” to enter into a deal with anyone other than Channel Seven.
A rep from the network declared, "As the matter is before the courts, it would not be appropriate to comment further at this stage."

Minogue turned down an offer to return to the UK series last year, but was reportedly "delighted" to be offered a spot on the Australian counterpart.
The 41-year-old is expected to be formally announced as a new judge on the series tomorrow (March 19).
A source said: "Dannii sees Australia as her home, and so this offer works perfectly for her family life with her son Ethan. Being on the Australian show also means she doesn't need to cross paths with Simon Cowell, and that is no bad thing either."
"He has very little to do with the Aussie version and she didn't even need to speak to him about this deal.
The former UK judge is said to have closed a six-figure deal with producers to join Ronan Keating on the judging panel, The Mirror reports.
