“Invincible” is back for Season 3 and boasting the same stellar cast that made the first two so great.

Much of the actors return again to voice their characters based on the Robert Kirkman comic book. Season 3 finds Mark at odds with Cecil all while trying to prepare mentally and physically for the threat of more Viltrumites heading to Earth.

Since that publication, Palahniuk has published over 20 works of various fiction media including 14 novels, short stories collections and even coloring books. Paz de la Huerta, the actress best known for roles in “The Cider House Rules,” “Choke,” and HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire,” has accused Harvey Weinstein of rape in an interview with Vanity Fair. The actress says she was assaulted by Weinstein on two separate occasions. The first allegedly occurred in November 2010 after Weinstein offered to drive her home to her Tribeca apartment. De la Huerta says he demanded to come inside for a drink.

“Things got very uncomfortable very fast,” she said. Weinstein reportedly tried to kiss her, but the actress refused. Though it has been planned for years, author Chuck Palahniuk has now taken to Kickstarter to launch a crowdfunding campaign for a film adaptation of his 2002 novel "Lullaby".

Palahniuk, director Andy Mingo, and producer Josh Leake have kicked off the effort which will mark the "Fight Club" and "Choke" author's first-ever screenwriting credit. The story itself deals with a 'culling song' that deals a painless death to anyone it's recited or even thought at. It was penned as a reaction to the trial of his father's murderer.

Kicking off the other day, the group are seeking $250,000 with $90,400 of that already achieved. The group says: "Both director Andy Mingo and producer Josh Leake have enough talented friends, family and colleagues that at this amount, the film can be made on a bootstrap budget."...

Set to adorn the latest issue, Game Informer has premiered new details relating to Arkane Studio’s stealth sequel Dishonored 2 and, specifically, the voice cast that will be bringing the clandestine story to life.

Featuring screen talent from Daredevil, Game of Thrones and The Wire, it’s been revealed that Rosario Dawson and Vincent D’Onofrio will shift from the grimy streets of Hell’s Kitchen to the voice booth to portray Megan Foster and Luca Abele, respectively. My familiarity with Paz de la Huerta is limited. I've seen only the first season of "Boardwalk Empire", never seen Enter the Void and I don't remember her in Choke or Deception. However, I am familiar with her name and her name seemed to be everywhere around the time promotion for Nurse 3D began around the end of 2013. A blood-soaked and naked De La Huerta was featured in the marketing for a film in which she played a nurse that exacted murderous revenge on adulterous men. From the creative crawlspace of Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk comes another twisting depraved tale called, inappropriately enough, Lullaby. This will mark the third time one of Palahniuk’s novels has been adapted for the screen, following the 1999 cult sleeper and Clark Gregg’s Choke.

The story of Lullaby originates from an African urban legend about ‘culling songs.’ While they may sound like ordinary lullabies, when spoken aloud or in one’s mind they possess the power to kill anyone in close proximity. It’s typically Palahniuk-ian subject matter.

This bizarre tale now has indie filmmakers Andy Mingo and Josh Leake attached after they optioned the rights from Palahniuk. The author is expected to co-write the screenplay with Mingo – who will also direct – while Leake is set to produce. Production on Lullaby is slated to begin at the end of 2015.

And now the author's fifth novel, Lullaby, will get the feature film treatment, and this time it falls on the side of independent cinema. The Wrap reports Palahniuk has optioned the rights to his book to Andy Mingo and Josh Leake, with the former directing the film and co-writing the script with the author himself while the latter will produce the film. The plan is to start shooting in Oregon or Louisiana early next year. Read on! According to Ain’t It Cool News, Palahniuk will co-write an adaptation of his 2002 novel Lullaby. This puts Palahniuk in a new club of authors-turned-screenwriters, as he joins scribes like Gillian Flynn and J.K. Rowling, who adapted their respective works Gone Girl and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them for the silver screen.

An adaptation of Lullaby has been in the works for a few years now, and once had a director named Rolf Johansson attached. The last we heard about that particular attempt was six years ago though, so it’s safe to assume that that particular project has been dropped in favor of this new direction.

Lullaby may just be my favorite novel of Palahniuk’s, so I’m excited to hear that it’s getting adapted.

Not content with making movies out of the books of William Faulkner and Cormac McCarthy, James Franco apparently has plans to expand his repertoire to include the work of Chuck Palahniuk, as reports have surfaced that Franco just purchased the rights to Palahniuk’s novel Rant.

For those are not Palahniuk-philes, Rant tells the story of Buster “Rant” Casey, a high school rebel who leaves his small town to journey to the big city and become the leader of an “urban demolition derby” known as Party Crashing. Following his violent death, Rant’s friends collect information needed to tell an oral history of his life as “the most efficient serial killer of our time.”

Well, that does sound like good fodder for a film. It’s unclear whether Franco will be directing, producing, or merely starring in the film version of Rant, though personally I hope for the latter. Franco...

Franco and Palahniuk? Quite an interesting combination. We've been covering news about adaptations of Chuck Palahniuk novels for many years, not to mention anything related to Fight Club. Many projects come and go, some make it into production (like Choke with Sam Rockwell a few years ago), and others stay stuck in development forever. An associate of author Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club) reached out to LitReactor today to announce that actor/filmmaker James Franco has optioned the rights to his 2007 novel Rant. Here's what the author's unspecified contact had to say below, revealing that casting news and a release date will be announced at a later date.

"As of last night we've finalized a deal for James Franco to option my novel Rant. Details about the casting, shooting and a proposed release date will be forthcoming. Hurray. After the opportunity to work with Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Sam Rockwell, I can't imagine a more exciting actor to work with than Franco."

Now, the tireless James Franco appears to be lining up another directorial effort based on a literary work. Litreactor reports that Franco has scored the rights to "Fight Club" author Chuck Palahniuk's "Rant".

It's still very early as so it's not clear in what capacity Franco will be involved in terms of either directing, producing or acting, or more likely a combination of at least two of the three.

The book itself is set in a dystopian future and follows a small town high school rebel who becomes aroused by exposure to animal toxins. After he moves to the city, he becomes the leader of a covert urban demolition derby team. He also starts a nationwide rabies epidemic that becomes a full zombie-style apocalypse.

Trust Me, director Clark Gregg’s first effort behind the camera since Choke, hits DVD today. Gregg also wrote and stars in the pic as a down-on-his-luck agent for child actors who discovers a 13-year-old acting prodigy (Saxon Sharbino) and must subsequently deal with her overprotective father (Paul Sparks), an untrustworthy producer (Felicity Huffman), and his nemesis (Sam Rockwell) in order to get himself back on top. Glowing up on the big screen were images of clicking colorful bricks, racing trains, mysterious creatures, superheroes – both shielded and guarded, coming-of-age tales and a fond farewell to the best Movie Geek ever.

Small and original storylines or epic stories with big stars, it’s been a good time at the movies this year and a lot for ticket buyers to choose from.
