Sebastian-Dayeh’s now destroyed Malibu home was one of the over 16,000 structures that burned down in the devastating Los Angeles fires in January. The executive producer and creator of Hallmark’s first-ever home renovation series “Home is Where the Heart Is” tells TheWrap that the title still resonates with her.

“I feel comfortable promoting this series, because the DNA of this series is how I feel truthfully about ‘home’ having lost my home,” she said. “It is where your heart is, because you build so many memories there, and so this series is about emotion and about your attachment to a home and about history and about memories and infusing that in design.”

Beloved filmmaker David Lynch passed away on Jan. 15, just five days before he would have turned 79 years old. Now, his official cause of death has been revealed.

Per TMZ, Lynch's cause of death was divulged on his death certificate, which has been made public by the Los Angeles County Dept. of Public Health. His immediate cause of death is listed as cardiac arrest with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease named as an underlying condition. Dehydration was also listed as a significant contributor to Lynch's death. The Blue Velvetfilmmaker's death certificate also confirms that he was cremated with his remains buried on Jan. 22 at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

It’s a slasher movie that is just as much a romantic comedy and vice versa. It’s not trying to be either of these things, it just is. Stars Mason Gooding and Olivia Holt have genuine chemistry, so when their meet-cute is interrupted by the Heart Eyes Killer, a serial murderer who has been stalking couples for years, you’re rooting for their continued survival, not the least of which because you want to see their relationship blossom. Neil Young will be honored with a new tribute album titled Heart of Gold: The Songs of Neil Young, featuring Fiona Apple, Eddie Vedder, Mumford & Sons, Brandi Carlile, and many more. Canadian telecom provider Rogers has announced a new skinny pay television package that includes access to free, ad-supported streaming TV (Fast) channels and Netflix as part of the service.

The bundle, called App TV, includes around two dozen live television channels — Rogers puts the amount closer to 40, but appears to include regional networks in that count — and 20 Fast channels, as well as access to Netflix’s ad-supported plan. The service is powered by Rogers Xfinity TV, the pay TV service rebranded from Rogers Ignite last year.

Well, not cute exactly, unless you think of spears going through eyeballs or heads being crushed into bloody pulp as cute. Of course, for the target audience of Heart Eyes, that’s exactly what they are. They relish the gruesome deaths, the more graphic the better, the way audiences used to relish spectacular production numbers in musicals.

If movie musicals had their heyday in the 1930s and ‘40s, the equivalent for slasher movies was the 1980s. There is really nothing that is not completely predictable about Amazon Prime Video’s latest big budget romantic comedy, but with Reese Witherspoon back in the genre, and Will Ferrell doing what he does best, the chemistry is there, and so are some laughs, including a real Lol moment involving Ferrell and an uncooperative alligator that is a good reason comedies should probably best be seen with a crowd. Unfortunately, despite its stars and fan-friendly genre, this one is straight to streaming. Even after almost three decades, the action thriller Con Air is still seen as one of veteran actor Nicolas Cage's best films. Despite its box office profits and Academy Award nominations, however, the movie was never given a sequel.

28 years after the release of Con Air, director Simon West has shared a new update on the possibility of a sequel finally happening. It's a fair question, as Cage is expected to return in an upcoming sequel to Face/Off – another film that was also released in 1997. For his part, West told Screen Geek that he would be more than happy to reunite with Cage for Con Air 2 if he's given the opportunity. The director even shared that he's discussed a potential sequel with Cage in the past, but to truly move forward with Con Air 2, the project would need to have a solid story with other key actors returning.

A few years back, I went to see my favourite David Lynch film, Mulholland Drive, at the Prince Charles Cinema in London. The house was, pleasingly, pretty much packed. And as the movie started, I sank into Lynch’s nocturnal underworld of haunted starlets and malevolent hoods. Then, something odd happened. Half an hour into the film, a group of about ten people shuffled into the empty row in front of us. They sat, stock still, as the albino Cowboy issued his enigmatic threats (“You will see me one more time if you do good. You will see me two more times if you do bad”) to Justin Theroux’s Hollywood director. Nicolas Cage reflected on the passing of David Lynch, calling the Wild At Heart director 'solid gold.' Lynch's family confirmed the filmmaker had died aged 78 earlier today.

Cage was the star of Lynch's 1990 black comedy road trip film Wild at Heart, and he recalled his time working with the famed director to Deadline, describing Lynch as "a singular genius in cinema, one of the greatest artists of this or any time." Cage went on to talk about his experience on the set of Wild at Heart. "He was brave, brilliant, and a maverick with a joyful sense of humor. I never had more fun on a film set than working with David Lynch. He will always be solid gold."

Scrubs season 10 will need to deal with the mistakes made by the softly-rebooted Med School run, and returning showrunner Bill Lawrence's comments suggest he is already considering how he can rectify the issues in the medical sitcom's last season. After much speculation, the Scrubs revival has been given the green light and will pick up the stories of the main cast around fifteen years after the show was canceled in 2010. Out of all nine seasons of Scrubs, the Med School episodes are widely regarded as the worst, so Lawrence has some redeeming to do.
