I was expecting more

I was excited to see this movie because I like Chondra on stage performances. Honestly it was ok, but didn't match up to her stage performances. To me a good movie has a story that you believe, and it doesn't matter if it a total fantasy, you still can believe it living it together with the characters, laughing or crying with them.. This movie didn't convince me. Some people were laughing. But I thought that they are just die hard fans of Chondra, who would love to see her no matter what. I'm not a professional movie critic, it's just my opinion. Just someone from the audience. But if you really want to see your favorite comedian in the movie maybe it would be your thing.

Bad Acting, Bad Writing.

Generally low quality in every category. The acting and writing are subpar. The direction is odd. Case in point: When her food catches on fire on the stove, her son sits there for a full minute or two trying to get her attention to tell her rather than actually running to the stove, himself, to put out the fire.

That's also a good example of how it seems they are just stringing sight gags together rather than actually telling a story.

They also insert a lot of whining to make up for the lack of plot. It would be fine if the lines were funny, but they're not.

This lead actress seems to have a following based on her faith and not using profanity. That's fine, but there are other movies and comedians that use little profanity, and it's actually entertaining. This is not.

This was amateur hour from the very start.

It iis a must for Chonda Pierce fans!

A fun movie, safe for the family, not overly preachy. It has real music in it. I am a fan of Chonda, and have seen her many times. This is a true Chonda story.

Chonda, recently widowed, gets a demotion at work, her car breaks down and finds out that she may be losing her house, all in the same week.she feels like nothing is going right, Chonda hasn't sung publicly, since her husband died, and feels like if she does it will be moving on. Her good friend and co- worker volunteers her to sing a solo in the church choir without her knowing. She gets through it, and decides to join a karaoke competition at the local fair. It is a charming story, filled with Chonda humor. If you are a fan of Chonda, then you will probably want to watch this!

Chonda at her best!

An amazing Chonda Pierce movie!!

Bonnie is a widow who works at a local restaurant when she discovers that the county has placed a tax lien on her home of 30 years. She now has 30 days to pay the lien in full in order to keep the house she purchased with her late husband.

The plot seemed predictable from early in the movie, but offered twists and turns throughout. It offers an amazing message of recognizing our blessings in the midst of hardships and relying on those closest too you when you need support.

Hilarious supporting cast with cameos from several well know individuals, including a Christian singer and former news anchor.

This is Chonda at her best!!
