Mike Vogel, Sarah Shahi, and Adam Demos in Sex/Life (2021)

Trivia

Sex/Life

Edit
Adam Demos and Sarah Shahi grew close on set and are in a real-life relationship.
The cast did not use body doubles for any of the sex or nude scenes.
Sarah Shahi said including cunnilingus on the show is important because it's sex represented by women for women. "Women love to be touched and eaten out. Oral is a big part of our stimulation."
Sarah Shahi said she called her mom once and told her about all the actors she's filming sex scenes with that day and her mom joked, "Honey, that's not called 'work.'"
Star Sara Shahi said she's been wanting a risky role like this her entire career, but no one would hire her. "Everyone was always trying to hire me to be the tough chick and paid me to keep my clothes on. I've been wanting to be a bit risky and cry and show emotional vulnerability for a while now." She said, "I found out that this was a piece that was written by a woman, directed by all women. It was just such an ability to stand for something, to stand for femininity, to be able to be a voice in a way that I felt was really important for women across the globe." She added, "It was an interesting role for me because I've never had the opportunity to be so exposed physically or emotionally."
