I saw this movie at Roskilde Festival 2008 and I'm going to see it again at a preview, a week before the official release date! This movie is so funny. I was laughing the whole time. Danish actor and co-script writer Mick Øgendahl has without a doubt created a movie that is set to go on as a Danish comedy classic, such as Sprængfarlig Bombe and Blinkende Lygter.
The plot is easy to follow and isn't confusing at all if you just pay a little attention. It's easy to understand but the movie is about the lovely trash-humor that is just hard not to laugh at.
This is definitely worth a watch!

This movie is a pretty easy going one. It's easy to follow, and the humor is on such a level that everyone can understand it. However, this might also be the movies downside. Personally I only found a few occasions where I would bother to smile, simply because the humor isen't anything other than plane normal. The story is very predictable and never makes any twists or turns that would throw the audience off. Two actors do their jobs well. Thure Lindhardt takes the cake, closely followed by Troels Lyby. Sidse Babett Knudsen and Mick Øgendahl dosen't stray too far from what we've seen them do before. I doub't I would wanna see this movie again, unless the rain was coming down outside, and someone had stolen my movie collection and locked my door from the outside. All in all, I'm sure there's a lot of people out there who would enjoy this movie - but not me.
I saw this movie at a pre premiere , The Writers Mick Øgendahl and Rasmus Heide was both there and introduced the movie very well.
The movie it self is so funny that the entire audience laughed at probably every joke Mick Øgendahl made.. the punchlines and timings on them was just perfect.
Thure Lindhart as always , plays his role great, probably one of Denmark's best actors , and he plays beside some very talented and experienced people, except for Mick.
I Usually see when there's a non actor in the movie , but it was hard to see Mick as anything else than a natural actor , and a great comedian..

I couldn't believe my own eyes when I read some of the review here - did we watch the same movie!? Let's just keep it real here for a moment - danish comedies that are actually fun are a rare species, and being the best danish comedy in years isn't saying allot - but this movie ain't that movie - in fact it's probably the worst danish comedy in years! It's totally predictable and has virtually no laughs. None of the characters have anything going for them - but the script is the main culprit here - just shocking how lame these jokes are! Me and my girlfriend had heard form a bunch of people, like the ones who praised it here, that this movie was great, so rented it with quite some expectations - so imagine our disbelief when this stinker was over! Anyways, what I'm trying to say here - If your looking for laughs or any kind of entertainment Blå Mænd isn't what you need!
I have to start with the fact that Thure Lindhardt is one of my favorite actors, and he was the main cause that made me watch this movie. I wasn't disappointed by his performance, as it was great as usual. The rest of the cast wasn't bad either. I'm not quite sure about the movie itself though..Maybe the script was bad, maybe the jokes were dull, or maybe I just didn't get it..Each nation has it's own sense of humor-although I understand danish, I didn't find the jokes funny at all. But that doesn't necessarily mean they were bad. Romanian jokes are hilarious for us, but might seem totally unfunny for an outsider, either because they are untranslatable or we just don't share the same sense of humor. After all, it's all relative.
