Bowie would appear alongside previously announced cast members Brian Posehn, Lauren Lapkus, and Kevin Sussman. Those three would also be reprising their roles from the original show.
The potential show was originally announced as being in development at Max back in April 2023. Exact plot details remain under wraps. All at once a prince and a criminal, there are few roles James Marsden isn't perfect for. The charming everyman has dazzled audiences for over three decades and in over 80 film and television projects, ranging broadly in genre from experimental comedies and dark satires to indie science fiction stories and comic book blockbusters.
As of writing, Marsden's biggest contemporary projects are the films in the "Sonic the Hedgehog" franchise, in which he plays one of few human characters alongside Jim Carrey, opposite the voices of Ben Schwartz, Idris Elba, and, most recently, Keanu Reeves as Shadow the Hedgehog. But before he was chasing gold rings across dimensions, Marsden was already an unmissable star of screens big and small, so we've ranked his 12 best TV shows and movies, taking into account their overall quality, how they showcased his talent, and their impact on popular culture at large.

Chow Lee is confronted by a lover on “Practice!,” a standout track from the New York rapper’s 12th full-length project in half as many years. She claims that Lee “talks about pussy in all of [his] songs”—and she’s not lying. Because if you’ve heard of Chow, then you know that he can’t stop yapping about his seemingly inexhaustible sexual appetite. And that he does on the delightful and hilarious Sex Drive, which serves as a devotional text—a shrine really—to bushy vaginas, non-monogamy, and eating ass.
They call him “Mr. Vagina,” Chow says on “Swag It!,” “not ’cause I’m pussy but because I know that pussy like inside and outside.” If you can’t relate to his obsessive horndoggery, it doesn’t really matter, because any topic that inspires a wordsmith to bounce around so energetically, launching from one feverishly relayed description to the next,...

Despite being best known for his comical side roles in films like Hot Tub Time Machine and Sex Drive, Clark Duke went in a much different direction with his directorial debut Arkansas, a neo-noir dark comedy released in early 2020. If Dukes acting credits were mostly within the gross out comedy genre, then Arkansas felt like a deliberate throwback to the style of quirky crime comedies helmed by Joel and Ethan Coen that were popular in the 1990s. Duke certainly succeeded in revitalizing an antiquated genre that had mostly been brought to life on dramatic television within the past decade. The movie features Dukes finest acting role to date, but Arkansas is worth watching solely for the unusually sinister turn from Vince Vaughn.

Who would have guessed that The Joe Schmo Show, a series that aired three seasons on the since-renamed Spike network scattered between 2003 and 2013, would be TV’s most influential format of 2022 and 2023? Other than fans of The Joe Schmo Show, I mean.
That series, in which an ordinary civilian — a “Joe Schmo,” if you will — is pranked/hoaxed/conned/scammed into believing he was part of a reality show when he was actually surrounded by a crew of actors, has its potent DNA in Nathan Fielder’s The Rehearsal, one of my favorite shows of last year, and Peacock’s Paul T. Spirited is a Christmas musical comedy streaming on Apple TV+, starring Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds. It is co-written and directed by Sean Anders.
The tables are turned, and this Christmas it is the Ghost of Christmas Present who must do some reevaluating.
Premise
This year’s target of the Ghost of Christmas Present is the ruthless businessman, Clint Briggs. As Present describes him, “he’s like the prefect combination of Mussolini and Seacrest.” His dark soul must be reformed by a visit from three spirits. Things will not follow the traditional process, when Christmas Present has to contend with Briggs who will shrewdly subject the Ghost to his own journey through his past, present and future.
Spirited (2022) Movie Review
A movie that has Will Ferrell written all over it: it is edgy but within limits. It goes ever so slightly beyond the canons of Christmas movies, managing to bring us something outside the norm.

April is about to be a good month for returning HBO and HBO Max properties.
HBO Max’s list of releases for April 2022 features three hotly anticipated seasons of television. The Flight Attendant, which helped launch HBO Max as a viable spot for good dramedy in 2020, premieres its second season on April 21. That will be followed by another go-around for the sci-fi comedy Made for Love on April 28. Of course, the big ticket item this month is something that HBO Max inherited from its cable cousin. Barry season 3 will continue the story of hitman-turned-actor Barry Berkman (Bill Hader) on April 24.
The TV offerings run much deeper than just returning shows this month. April 7 sees the arrival of Tokyo Vice, a sprawling crime drama with some episodes directed by Michael Mann. The series stars Ansel Elgort as an American journalist embedding himself in Tokyo’s criminal underground in the late ’90s.

Michael Cudlitz and Jake Abel and have signed on to star alongside Zhang Hanyu and Vivienne Tien (Be Yourself) in Unspoken, a dramatic feature from writer-director Daming Chen that is now in production.
Unspoken tells the story of Xu (Zhang), an estranged father separated from his deaf daughter and her new life at an American university, whose murder reunites them in a way neither could have foreseen. The tragedy pierces Xu with grief and guilt that he couldn’t be present to protect his child. An ex-cop himself, he becomes convinced the local authorities are pursuing the wrong suspect – and that racism is compromising the investigation.
With a young Chinese translator in tow (Tien), who is navigating her own challenging path as a young immigrant, Xu sets out to learn what really happened to his daughter.

Over a decade ago, writer Ayn Carrillo-Gailey embarked on a quest to prove an ex-boyfriend wrong. She rolled out a list of lusty to-dos to show that she was not, as he had pronounced her to be, “pornphobic.” The result was the amusing (and enlightening) memoir “Pornology,” which has now spawned its own sanitized, if sweet rom-com movie adaptation. It’s a cute idea for a movie, the kind that follows a charming lead as they stumble their way into physical pleasure and other forms of personal enlightenment.
Filmmaking brothers Chris and Nick Riedell might not be breaking any new ground with their “A Nice Girl Like You,” but the duo at least had the foresight to cast Lucy Hale as Carrillo-Gailey’s movie stand-in, a straight-laced classical violinist who isn’t so much afraid of sex as she is unsure of how to make it work for her. Netflix is no stranger to underrated and overlooked comedies. The addition of films like Sex Drive, Wine Country and Sleeping With Other People prove that there’s plenty for comedy fans to watch if they’re willing to dig for lesser-known but utterly hilarious content. One such underrated flick has been making its way up the service’s Top 10 list over the past 24 hours, and it’s well worth checking out if you’re a Seth Rogen fan.
After dropping on June 1st, the 2009 comedy Observe and Report took very little time to garner plenty of attention. It currently sits at #9 on the Top 10 Movies list, and while this occasionally mean-spirited film might be an acquired taste, it’s a hell of a good time if you can deal with its darker elements.

Amazon Prime’s new releases in June 2020 is fairly lacking in original material. That’s to be expected for a streaming service that focuses on quality over quantity to begin with now going through a pandemic content crunch.
Standup special Gina Brillon: The Floor Is Lava, Joseph Gordon-Levitt film 7500, and Pete the Cat season 2 are the only originals arriving this month. And that’s fine as Amazon is about to be home to one of 2019’s most fun films. That’s right – Knives Out makes its debut on June 12. It might be awhile before we get to see the next Benoit Blanc mystery so hopefully this will tide us over.
June 1 also sees the arrival of Dirty Dancing, Kingpin, and the tragically underrated Sex Drive. It’s not the most impressive month Amazon has ever had, but at least you still get free shipping.

There are a lot of popular streaming platforms to choose from, but Hulu has always stood alongside Netflix as one of the two essentials for households looking for diversity in content. In the past, they’ve been known for focusing more heavily on newer television content, while Netflix has always offered a larger selection of sought-after films. But now, it looks like Hulu’s June lineup is only going to continue the service’s recent trend of providing high quality movies to bring itself in line with their competitor.

June 2020 is set to be a big month for the whole streaming Disney family. Over on its biggest streaming service in Hulu, however, Disney is taking things a bit more slowly.

Animated medieval comedy Crossing Swords premieres on June 12, then Ya love story Love Victor and cooking show Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi both arrive on June 19. June 1 sees a pretty impressive crop of movies coming to Hulu’s library as well. October Sky, The X-Files (1998), and Casino will all be ready to stream at the beginning of the month.

We’ve got a new trailer to share with you for an upcoming sci-fi thriller called Freaks. The film is coming to Comic-Con next week, and to help build the hype the studio decided to show off some more footage from the film that sheds some additional light on the story.

Early press screenings of Sean Anders’ “Instant Family” came with an unexpected bit of pre-show entertainment: an introduction from filmmaker Sean Anders, during which the director of such decidedly non-family-friendly features like “Sex Drive” and “That’s My Boy” explained the real-life experiences that informed his newest film. Regular moviegoers won’t see that video when they go to see “Instant Family” in theaters, but they will be treated to the kind of title card that has never previously adorned an Anders joint: “inspired by a true story.”
Nearly eight years ago, Anders and his wife Beth decided it was time to become parents, but worried that they might be starting too late, they turned to the foster system. Eventually, the pair rounded out their family with a trio of siblings. Their real-life experience frames up the film’s plotline, which follows Pete (Mark Wahlberg) and Ellie (Rose Byrne) as...

"Keep in mind folks - it is not going to be easy..." Paramount Pictures UK has released a new international trailer for the upcoming holiday comedy Instant Family, the latest movie by Sean Anders. Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne portray a married couple who are looking to expand their family, just like Anders and his wife did. Wahlberg's Pete character and Byrne's Ellie turn to foster care, looking to adopt one child. However, they end up three siblings. The trailer features some of the ups and downs of starting an instant family, especially when one of the kids is a teenager.
Sean Anders is best known for comedies like Sex Drive, That's My Boy, and Daddy's Home, but Instant Family sees the director adding a dash of drama for this story. Along with the trailer for the film, Anders also released a behind-the-scenes featurette that shows his real-life family and explains how his own personal experience with adoption influenced the project. Right away, Anders...

Surprise - it's a family! "You're just another white lady who wants to adopt charity orphans to make you feel good about yourself!" Paramount Pictures has debuted an official trailer for a comedy titled Instant Family, the latest movie by Sean Anders. Instant Family is inspired by the real events from the life of writer/director Sean Anders, telling the story of a couple that find themselves in over their heads when they adopt three children. Starring Mark Wahlberg, Rose Byrne, Octavia Spencer, Tig Notaro, Isabela Moner, plus Margo Martindale. This looks like an amusing comedy, but the humor doesn't seem that smart to me. Watch the trailer below. Here's the first official trailer for Sean Anders' Instant Family, direct from Paramount's YouTube: When Pete (Mark Wahlberg) and Ellie (Rose Byrne) decide to start a family, they stumble into the world of foster care adoption. They hope to take...

To most movie-goers, filmmaker Sean Anders’ name is likely synonymous with broad comedies like “Sex Drive,” “That’s My Boy,” and “Daddy’s Home,” but the writer and director has taken a teensy turn into more dramatic territory with his latest film, “Instant Family.” It’s understandable that Anders might hedge a bit more to the drama for the Mark Wahlberg- and Rose Bryne-starring film, because while the family comedy looks to have some laughs in store, it all comes from a very personal place.
The film follows Pete (Mark Wahlberg) and Ellie (Rose Byrne) after they decide to start a family, turning to foster care adoption in the process. Initially looking to adopt just one tyke, they end up meeting three siblings, including Isabela Moner as a rebellious teen. That’s an instant family.
