The phone number you see on the attic phone near the end of the movie, is the same phone number the lineman tells the operator he's calling from in the original Black Christmas. This tells the audience the green phone in the attic is the same one from the sorority house.
Despite being a 'fan film', the movie was shot on all professional Hollywood equipment, with professional actors and crew.
The movie is the first part of a two part story, leaving it open for a sequel, which the filmmakers want to finish.
An actual murder took place in the house where the movie was filmed. A city councillor (Bernard Cameron) was shot dead inside the home (where he lived) in 2016. His daughter's angry former common-law spouse fatally shot Cameron and wounded his daughter before turning the gun on himself.
Dave McRae (the co-director, co-writer, and co-producer of the film) is the voice of Billy on the telephone.
