Since its release in 2005, Twilight firmly cemented itself as a pop culture mainstay that fans will return to for decades. Its movie adaptations were intensely popular, creating a legion of fans that exists until today. This staying power is why the producers behind the legendary love story between Edward and Bella won't remake it as another film for newer fans to revel in the butterflies all over again.
Instead, the Twilight remake is slated to be an animated TV show, which adds a lot of potential to the retelling of the story. It will attract old audiences as well as new ones, and the longer format will give other plotlines a chance to shine. The movies had shorter run times, so many nuances of The Twilight Saga got cut. These are the aspects fans demand to see in the Twilight remake series.

Why Does George Clooney Want To Keep His Batman Movie Away From His Son? ( Photo Credit – Wikimedia )
George Clooney is one of Hollywood’s most revered actors, known for his demeanor, versatility, and performances in films like Ocean’s Eleven, Michael Clayton, and Up in the Air. However, despite his impressive filmography, one role remains a sore spot for him: his portrayal of the Caped Crusader in Batman & Robin (1997). Directed by Joel Schumacher, the film took a campy approach to The Dark Knight, a stark contrast to the brooding tone set by Tim Burton’s earlier Batman films.
Although Clooney acknowledged that the film was not well-received and even apologized, his role as Batman remains a talking point. Interestingly, the actor now actively avoids discussing it with his young son, fearing that it would ruin his credibility. Despite being a household name and an Oscar-winning actor, Clooney jokingly admits that...

Wicked, Conclave, and Nosferatu took top honors at the 29th Annual Art Directors Guild Awards (aka the Excellence in Production Design Awards) Saturday. Rachael Harris hosted the show from the InterContinental Ballroom in Los Angeles.
The Art Directors Guild divides its top film prizes into Period, Contemporary, and Fantasy Feature categories, which went to the Oscar-nominated production designers for Nosferatu, Conclave, and Wicked, respectively. Since the inception of these awards, the winner of one of those three has gone on to win the Best Art Direction/Production Design Oscar in 19 of the 28 years and 10 of the past 11 years. The three films will go up against Dune: Part Two and The Brutalist next month for the production design Academy Award, with Wicked considered not only the frontrunner but a heavily-favored one at that.
Nosferatu won top Period Feature over fellow nominees A Complete Unknown, The Brutalist, Gladiator II, and Saturday Night.

“Nosferatu” (Craig Lathrop), “Wicked” (Nathan Crowley), and “Conclave” (Suzie Davies) were the period, fantasy, and contemporary production design winners at the 29th annual Art Directors Guild Awards, held February 15 at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown.
Also winning for animation was “The Wild Robot”, following its Annies sweep and Ves prizes. On the TV side, “Shōgun,” “Squid Game,” “Fallout,” and “The Penguin” were the winners for their production designers in their respective categories.
The Lathrop win for “Nosferatu” was not surprising when you consider that “The Brutalist” production designer Judy Becker is not an Adg member. She has been the presumptive Oscar favorite for channeling Oscar-nominated Adrien Brody’s visionary architect, László Tóth, in applying a Brutalist style to the architectural designs of mid-century Pennsylvania with its bold shapes and function over form aesthetic.
Lathrop, who has worked on all of director Robert Eggers’ other films, received his first Oscar nomination for “Nosferatu.

Production designer Nathan Crowley’s creation of the “Wicked” land of Oz won the award for a fantasy film, and production designer Suzie Davies’ Vatican sets delivered “Conclave” the trophy for a contemporary film.
“Conclave,” “Nosteratu” and “Wicked,” along with Adg nominees “The Brutalist” and “Dune: Part Two” are nominated for the Oscar in production design. A year ago, “Poor Things” won the Adg Award for a fantasy film en route to an Oscar win in the category.

The CBS TV series S.W.A.T., currently heading for its eighth season, is the second-longest-running scripted show that’s currently airing on the network. As Season 8 approaches its winter premiere on Jan. 31, the show’s executive producer Shawn Ryan is talking about the odds of whether the show will return for a ninth season. Thus far, CBS has not been marketing the eighth season as S.W.A.T.’s final one.
“It’s been called the final season the last three or four seasons, hasn’t it?” said Ryan in an interview with Deadline about the show that stars Shemar Moore, Jay Harrington, David Lim, and Patrick St. Esprit. The last two seasons of the series were said to be the final ones at one point.

The Art Directors Guild has announced the nominees for its 29th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards. Production design is all about worldbuilding, and so it’s fitting that the nominees are spread out by the kinds of worlds production designers are asked to create and the demands of their setting. The feature film nominee categories are amongst period settings, contemporary settings, and fantasy settings and the television shows are divided further by format between single-camera hourlong, half-hour, multicamera series, limited series, and TV movie, among others.

And yet, the Caped Crusader’s stumble became the ultimate turning point. Clooney didn’t just reflect on the flop—he flipped the script on his career.
“It’s really easy to pick: Batman & Robin. That’s not a joke,” he admitted. “Up until that moment, I was an actor only concerned with finding work. After the failure of that film creatively, I understood that I needed to take control of the films I made, not just the role.”
What followed was nothing short of a Hollywood masterclass. Clooney traded bat-nipples for brilliance, delivering knockout performances in Out of Sight, Three Kings, and O Brother, Where Art Thou?. These weren’t...

The career of George Clooney is as surprising as it is unsurprising. For a man of his looks, charm, and character, he has leaned heavily into that when it comes to the films he makes and the characters he portrays. Films like Ocean's 11, Up in the Air, and Michael Clayton all play into the suave, sophisticated man that Clooney seems to be in real life. Aside from being cool and successful with audiences, though, he has also garnered the attention of critics at various stages of his career. Films like the latter two above, alongside Alexander Payne's gentle drama The Descendants, have given him multiple Academy Award acting nominations. Behind the camera, Clooney has been nominated for his journalist drama Good Night, and Good Luck and the political thriller The Ides of March, while winning for producing the real-life hostage thriller Argo.

Acting isn’t always the easiest of professions. Between the busy buzz of the set, difficult material, the occasional prima donna co-star or director, it can be a challenge to get in the mindset of whatever character you’re trying to inhabit. For Anna Kendrick, this can be especially difficult when you’re acting opposite a legend like George Clooney. The two starred opposite one another in Jason Reitman‘s 2009 dramedy “Up in the Air,” receiving Oscar nominations in the process for their work. However, in a recent interview on “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace,” Kendrick shared that working with Clooney was initially quite the scary prospect.
“Oh, absolutely terrifying. I mean, completely terrifying. To other people he is kind of capital G, George, and he works really hard to make you forget that and feel comfortable,” said Kendrick. “The very, very first shot that he and I did together...

Kendrick made the comments to CNN’s Chris Wallace, recalling her memories from shooting Up in the Air scenes with Clooney over a decade ago.

The final moments of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire features a sweet tribute to Ivan Reitman, which is a fitting farewell to the legendary director. For most of its run-time, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire has fun bringing back characters and locations from the original Ghostbusters movies to interact with the next generation of the franchise. This includes a few key tributes to past characters and concepts, bringing back much of the original surviving cast for certain moments.
However, the sweetest tribute to the history of the series comes towards the end of the film, and takes on multiple additional meanings. Instead of just being a chance to highlight the franchise's past and future, the ending of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire also includes a sweet note that explains the film was "For Ivan." This is a reference to one of the creatives who was responsible for the original Ghostbusters, and whose impact on the franchise has been felt for decades.

Anna Kendrick praised her Up in the Air co-star George Clooney for the “complete fiction” he told her to calm her nerves ahead of filming the six-time Oscar-nominated dramedy film.

Costume designer Danny Glicker goes way back with director Jason Reitman, so much so that Glicker says he considers the filmmaker part of his “creative family.” Glicker first worked with Reitman on the director’s debut feature, “Thank You For Smoking,” and also served as the costume designer on later features like “Up in the Air,” “Labor Day,” “The Front Runner,” and “Ghostbusters: Afterlife.” So the costume designer, an Oscar nominee for “Milk,” perhaps knows best where the new film “Saturday Night” stands within Reitman’s acclaimed filmography.

Anna Kendrick Recalls Director’s ‘Icky’ Improv Request on Set: It Was a ‘Power Move to Embarrass Me’
Anna Kendrick is detailing an “icky” on-set experience with an unnamed director.
Kendrick said during Josh Horowitz’s “Happy Sad Confused” podcast in the below video that a filmmaker encouraged her to improvise during a production, only to then publicly “embarrass” her by suggesting she just stick to the script after all.
“I remember a director once in a room full of 100 extras or something being like, ‘Hey, on this next one just try something. Just make something up. Just improv something,’” Kenrick said. “And I did it and then the director called cut and came over and, once again in front of 100 extras, was like, ‘Oof, let’s go back to the script!’ It really felt like a very specific power move thing to embarrass me, to gain dominance. It was very icky.”
Yet Kendrick’s improv, though, ended up making it into the trailer for the film.

She was supposed to choose someone from the three male contestants trying to woo her.
One of these suitors was serial killer Rodney Alcala, who charmed Sheryl enough to select him as her date. Anna Kendrick and I are discussing soundbite culture.
She’s winding down after a day of interviews for her directorial debut, “Woman of the Hour,” where she’s been navigating the tricky business of getting audiences hyped for the chilling true story about the time a serial killer was a bachelor on “The Dating Game.”
The movie, now streaming on Netflix, is a subversive take on the true crime genre. The story is not focused on the killer’s motives or his capture, but more of a meditation on all the secret ways women navigate the world to ensure their survival, which makes the movie tough to boil down into a few quippy quotes.
As we walk to Kendrick’s hotel suite, I crack a joke about someone asking her to sing while talking about serial killers and she covers her mouth to suppress a knowing laugh. Because, when doing press,...

Anna Kendrick has found a niche in comedy thanks to her standout work in the Pitch Perfect franchise and A Simple Favor, but her breakout role came in Jason Reitmans dramedy Up in the Air. Reitman was on a hot streak as a director at the time, as his previous film, Juno, had been a surprise sensation that earned acclaim for the authentic manner in which it depicted coming of age. Up in the Air sought to examine the modern American workforce with a similar degree of sensitivity, and earned a serious amount of attention due to the performance by George Clooney. Although Clooney is arguably more vulnerable and heartbreaking than he had ever been at that point in his career, Kendricks charismatic performance in Up in the Air earned her a well-deserved Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
