Dertigers

Prima serie, authentiek en herkenbaar, ook voor niet dertigers (ik ben 62 jaar...). Goed acteerwerk, vooral van Lot en Nora. Het gaat over de dagelijkse beslommeringen van een vriendengroep die elkaar al jarenlang kent. Ouderschap, rouwverwerking, drugsgebruik, overspel, alles komt aan de orde en wordt integer en uitstekend gefilmd.

Erg korte afleveringen waarin echter wel veel gebeurt. Waarschijnlijk gesponsord door een telefoonmaatschappij (de vele appjes vliegen over het scherm) en de stad Amsterdam, mooie sfeerbeelden. Het constante gezoen tussen de vele stellen irriteert soms. Voor de rest een aanrader voor serieus maar ook lichtvoetig vermaak.

So this is a 100% Dutch series peeking inside 100% Dutch culture. A group of friends called 'Shared home friends' (huisgenoten) apparently knowing each other from living together in a (student) hous now all or most living apart but still meeting and interacting very intensely. Situated in Amsterdam so for thos thousands and thousands of expacts living there it might be a good start to learn Dutch because that is the culture you also live in? The series will be hard to translate since 50% of the scenes contain whatsapp messages (in Dutch) which will be difficult to translate - even being a relatively good representation of how many of us live these days. The acting, languages, situations are all spot-on and there is hardly any irritating or unlikely scene. So that's pretty good. Problems that occur, hjow the're solved or not, situations,all very recognizable - I guess all over the western world. So far so good. Downside for me: 4 series of each 24 episodes. I watched the first 24. Pretty much hooked. #24 also pretty much 'all is well that ends well' even when this was an 8 hour event. Then I peeked into the previews of the next 3x24 episodes and continuously new problems and people are brought forward and I thought: no more of this. Pretty tiring actually even when pretty good. They should have stopped after series 1 but I'm sure others disagree strongly.
