The joke remains true: if you check into a motel anywhere in America, you can turn on the television and, in no more than three clicks, find a channel that is live-broadcasting an episode of "Law & Order."
More than any other TV show, Dick Wolf's "Law & Order" is an institution, providing more episodes of scripted, primetime TV than any other series to date. It pales in comparison to most daily American soap operas, and falls well behind the Indian farm report "Krishi Darshan," as well as the long-long-running German children's show "Unser Sandmännchen," but "Law & Order" is certainly up there, having produced about 1,383 episodes over 67 seasons of TV.
As of this writing, the extant "Law & Order" shows were released in the following order:
"Law & Order" "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1999 - present) "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (2001 - 2011) "Law & Order: Trial By Jury...

Milena Govich is an integral name in the Wolf Entertainment world -- and audiences may not even know it. Govich has directed episodes across the Law & Order, One Chicago and FBI brands, and returns to FBI: Most Wanted to helm Season 6, Episode 12, "Do You Realize??" It's one of the more emotional episodes of the FBI spinoff, involving the abduction of a 14-year-old girl and the return of Ray Cannon's father.
But before she was one of Dick Wolf's brightest stars behind the camera, Govich was one of the stars in front of the camera. After starting her TV career as a Law & Order guest star, she was a series regular on Wolf's short-lived legal drama Conviction, and then portrayed Detective Nina Cassady on Law & Order -- so far the only woman to be one of the main detectives on that long-running show. It's an incredible journey,...

The Dexter prequel series Dexter: Original Sin features a slate of new actors playing familiar characters from the original series. Developed by New Blood creator Clyde Phillips, the prequel series chronicles a post-college Dexter as he embraces his "dark passenger" through the guidance and teachings of his adopted father, Harry. Dexter implements Harry's code to satisfy his violent urges while making sure never to get caught. The original Dexter featured a variety of flashbacks of Dexter's upbringing with Harry and the formation of the code, which the prequel expands on.
After Michael C. Hall reprised his iconic role as the charismatic vigilante serial killer in 2021's Dexter: New Blood, he returns as Dexter's inner voice and narrator in the prequel series. Jeremy Allen White is still a star on the rise, but he makes sure to give his heart and soul in every performance, regardless of how small they might be. White made his onscreen debut when he was only 15 years old as a guest star in the TV show Conviction, then went on to alternate between TV and film with a variety of teenage roles.
The actor became everyone's favorite chef following the success of The Bear, but he was already a familiar face in the TV industry by the time the show came out. Allen's big break happened in 2011 when he joined Shameless US, a remake of the British show of the same name. These two series represent two turning points in his career, but there's much more worth checking out.

Bobby Cannavale shines in a standout role as a struggling comic navigating life with his autistic son, played memorably by William A. Fitzgerald. The film effectively addresses family dynamics, communication issues, and the lengths parents go to for their children in a heartwarming way. Inspired by real-life experiences, Ezra's emotional depth, stellar ensemble cast, and engaging narrative make it a must-watch for audiences of all ages.
Summer moviegoers looking for a heartwarming crowd-pleaser can bank on Ezra. The engaging new comedy-drama is directed with equal parts vigor and grace by Tony Goldwyn, who makes great use of Tony Spiridakiss passion-filled script about a beleaguered comedian struggling to co-parent his autistic son. This otherwise engaging road trip film may wobble creatively a bit as it heads to the finish line, but thanks to its stellar ensemble cast, great storytelling, and sharp directing style, Ezra shines like a gem.

One out of every 36 children in the U.S. are reportedly estimated to be on the autistic spectrum. This may have been a fine reason to make Ezra, a sweet comedy-drama about a rouge road trip with a frazzled father and his 11-year-old autistic son, but it was more personal for screenwriter Tony Spiridakis, whose popular Ted Talk about his own experiences with his autistic son touched a nerve.
The subject was primed for a twist of fate. Fortunately, Spiridakis was buddies with Tony Goldwyn, who, in turn, knew Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale, and, well, flash forward several years and here we are: Ezra hits theaters May 31. The film finds troubled stand-up comic Max (Cannavale) acting on impulse, taking his 11-year-old autistic son,...

Let’s start here: watching Bobby Cannavale and Robert De Niro argue on a New York City street while cars angrily beep their horns is electric. Truly exhilarating to watch. Likewise, watching the great Rose Byrne manage multiple emotions on her face is tantamount to listening to Yo-Yo Ma play cello. Ezra, written by Tony Spiridakis and directed by Tony Goldwyn, tells the story of a separated couple’s attempt to raise their autistic son. Max (Cannavale) is a struggling stand-up comedian; his ex, Jenna (Rose Byrne), is trying to keep it all together and not doing well. Their son, Ezra (William A. Fitzgerald), is causing disturbances at his school. Soon he’s forced to go to a specialized school with other “special” kids. Max cannot allow this; neither can his temper. It’s all for Jenna and her lawyer boyfriend (Goldwyn) to do to keep Max from beating up the whole world.

In the world of stealth action games, few series have garnered as much respect and admiration as Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell. The series protagonist Sam Fisher has become the standard for many games in the same genre. The series has many games under it and all have them evolved with time, experimenting with its core mechanics to varying degrees of success.
But not all Splinter Cell games are made equally. Some have been praised for their innovation of the stealth genre’s roots, while others have been critiqued for straying too far from what made the series great. The biggest debate among the fans has been if Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is better than Splinter Cell: Blacklist. So, let’s grab the night-vision goggles and rank every Splinter Cell game from worst to best.
7. Splinter Cell: Double Agent The main story took the Title too seriously.

Documentary fans have a lot to be excited about this month on HBO and Max. April begins with the premiere of The Synanon Fix, a docuseries that follows the rise and fall of the cult-like drug rehabilitation program Synanon. The documentary Brandy Hellville and the Cult of Fast Fashion takes a deep-dive into the controversial “one size fits most” clothing brand Brandy Mellville and the impact of fast fashion on the planet.
An American Bombing: The Road to April 19th looks at the surge of political violence and anti-government sentiment that led to the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing, and the effects still felt nearly 30 years later. HBO is also returning with a second part to their popular docuseries The Jinx, with filmmakers continuing their investigation of Robert Durst.

Nobody does scrappy and determined quite like Hilary Swank. Be it as a working mother who puts herself through law school in Conviction, a journalist trying to bring the murders of Indigenous women to light in Alaska Daily, a teacher overcoming odds to demand a classroom in Freedom Writers, or a fighter in a boxing ring in Million Dollar Baby, Swank has found her niche playing women who aren’t afraid to break rules and tradition to do what’s right.

Dungey will portray Judge Regina Turner, a former public defender who is younger and more progressive than most judges in the district, but whether that’s a benefit to Mickey or not remains to be seen. Any developer will tell you that games rarely turn out the way they were first envisioned. Features get cut or don’t work as planned. New tech can mean a game can look or play much better by moving it to new hardware. Sometimes, huge chunks of a game just need to be cut to meet a deadline. These changes are a normal part of the process.
But what’s much less common is when development gets far enough along that a title can be shown publicly, but the final product ends up being much different from what was first shown. These are 15 games that radically changed during development.

Tony Goldwyn is best known as an actor who has starred in films like Ghost (1990) and on TV programs including Scandal (2012-2018). But he has also quietly and consistently built an impressive résumé as a director, with A Walk on the Moon (1999), The Last Kiss (2006), Conviction (2010) and, most recently, Ezra. The dramedy just had its world premiere as a sales title at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it had audiences laughing and crying and has generated raves, especially for the performance of its lead actor, Bobby Cannavale.
Ezra centers on a single father, stand-up comedian Max (Cannavale), who is fiercely protective of his autistic son, Ezra (William Fitzgerald), and winds up taking him on the run rather than allowing him to be sent to a special school and medicated. Studiocanal will stage at the London TV Screenings the international premiere of “Spinners,” an eight-part extreme sports action drama set on the mean streets of Cape Town’s Southside, that is not just a series but a sign of an industry zeitgeist.
As the competition for talent grows, there’s a building drive into emerging production hubs beyond the traditional powerhouse territories in Europe led by some of its most powerful players, here France’s Canal+, Studiocanal and Federation Studios, and some of its biggest TV events, such as Series Mania.

Whoopi Goldberg, Rose Byrne, Vera Farmiga, Rainn Wilson and William Fitzgerald have signed on to join the comedic drama “Inappropriate Behavior.” Bobby Cannavale and Robert De Niro were previously announced as the star and major supporting character, respectively.
Cannavale plays Max Bernal, a late-night comedy writer who tries and fails to parlay his success into a second act as a stand-up comic. After moving in with his father Stan (De Niro), he clashes with his ex-wife Jenna (Byrne) about parenting their young son Ezra (Fitzgerald), who is on the autism spectrum. Tensions reach a boiling point when Max kidnaps Ezra to take him on a cross-country trip, to hilarious and disastrous results.
Tony Goldwyn (“Conviction”) will direct from a script by Tony Spiridakis (“Ash Tuesday”). Spiridakis was inspired by his own son who is on the spectrum, and previously wrote the 2015 short “Inappropriate Behaviors” about an autistic teen traveling across Iowa.

Hulu’s list of new releases for June 2021 is highlighted by a host of useful library titles and one fascinating original film.
The original film in question is the one that lends its delightful photo of Pierce Brosnan delivering a baby to this post. False Positive stars and was written by Ilana Glazer (Broad City). It sounds like a really fun, creepy time with a synopsis that reads: “After months of trying and failing to get pregnant, Lucy (Glazer) and Adrian (Justin Theroux) finally find their dream fertility doctor in the illustrious Dr. Hindle (Pierce Brosnan). But after becoming pregnant with a healthy baby girl, Lucy begins to notice something sinister through Hindle’s gleaming charm, and she sets out to uncover the unsettling truth about him, and her own “birth story.” Cool!
Hulu’s other original offerings aren’t too inspiring this month. Only Love, Victor season 2 on June 11 moves the needle much.

It boasts one of the fastest-growing TV industries on the planet, but that hasn’t cleared up misconceptions when it comes to Central and Eastern Europe. “I would like to kill some stereotypes about the region,” said Kamila Zlatušková, founder of the Serial Killer TV Festival in Brno, Czech Republic, during a showcase of regional series at the Berlinale Series Market on Tuesday.
Zlatušková said that her travels around TV festivals and markets in recent years had led her to believe that she was living in “an invisible region. There were no panels, no topics from Central and Eastern European drama.”
After years of working in the industry, including at a regional pubcaster, Zlatušková launched the Serial Killer TV Festival to change that. The week-long event, which this year takes place from Sept. 22-27, offers a platform for rising talents and hot new series to get exposure to industry players from across the globe.

Charades will unveil the promos of both films, as well as “Madeleine Collins,” Antoine Barraud’s psychological drama headlined by Virginie Efira, and will be hosting the market premieres of Sebastien Demoustier’s “The Girl With a Bracelet” which is generating strong box office returns in France, where it opened last week, and Bruno Merle’s “Felicita.”
A psychological drama, starring Chiara Mastroianni and Roschdy Zem, “The Girl With a Bracelet,” has already attracted 100,000 admissions in five days. The film follows a 16-year-old who stands trial for the murder of her best friend and begins to confess to a secret life that she kept from her parents.

While I enjoyed the first season of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, it seems there are a lot of people that don’t like the show. I guess I can see why some people don’t like it, but I personally just really like how these two characters have been handled in the show. It’s solid character development.
It’s all good, though, the show isn’t for everybody, but for those of you who have been enjoying it, Freeform has released a full trailer for you to watch! It shows us that Tyrone and Tandy will be teaming up to save the world. This one specifically deals with sex trafficking. Then there’s the anti-hero Mayhem who doesn’t have any problems killing people to save others.
Here’s the synopsis for Season 2:
