The Kardashian/Jenner clan is usually pretty tight-knit, but Brody Jenner can’t be bothered to attend step-sister Kim Kardashian's wedding this weekend.

The “Bromance” star chatted with TMZ earlier this week when he was asked if there’s a specific reason why he’s ditching Kim’s big day.

And while there’s been speculation that Jenner is miffed over his girlfriend being uninvited to the shindig, Brody insists that’s not the case.

“I gotta work this weekend,” is all he offered up as an explanation. And in his defense, Brody does have a deejaying gig in Chicago tonight (May 23).

Brody Jenner has somehow risen to the top ranks of reality TV royalty.

His ascendence is puzzling. Like Paris Hilton and stepsister Kim Kardashian, he's not particularly talented or known for anything. But the son of Linda Thompson and Bruce Jenner scored his first reality show, "Princes of Malibu," at age 21. Even though only two episodes aired, Brody kept climbing the reality star short list. He soon became a Los Angeles nightlife fixture and one of the few "famous for being famous" men.

You've no doubt heard "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest referred to as "the next Dick Clark" over the years. But now Seacrest is considering the launch of a project even America's Oldest Teenager never managed to pull off: his own network.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Seacrest is in early talks with the powerful talent agency CAA and live entertainment producer Aeg to launch a joint cable network that would be overseen by Seacrest and feature some content from Aeg's legendary venues such as London's O2 Arena and Los Angeles' Staples Center and L.A. Live.

While the deal is said to be in its very early preliminary stages, the concept for the network is described as "music, pop culture and lifestyle oriented,...

Though the ratings for “American Idol” have been down a bit, that’s hardly Ryan Seacrest’s fault, which is probably why he was able to sign a three-year contract extension worth $45 million, making him the richest reality show host on the market.

In the 2007 film “Knocked Up,” Seacrest (playing himself) goes on a rant about how many jobs he has. “I don’t understand the young talent in this town — I’ve got four jobs! Hell, I’m more famous than half the people we talk to anyway!” The guy actually undershoots his target: Between “Idol,” his on-air gig at E!, his two radio shows (the daily “On the Air With Ryan Seacrest” and the weekly “American Top 40″) and his production duties on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” “Bromance” and “Denise Richards: It’s Complicated,” his schedule is pretty well packed.

Lindsay Lohan is teaming up with U.S. TV personality Ryan Seacrest for a big-money show - they will give a lucky contestant $1 million (£667,000) to turn their life around.

The pair was spotted out together in Los Angeles on Thursday, prompting speculation of a budding romance.

But the Mean Girls star was actually discussing business with the American Idol host, who works behind the scenes in Hollywood producing TV hits Keeping Up With The Kardashians and MTV's Bromance.

Both Lohan and Seacrest took to their pages on social networking website Twitter.com on Friday to drop hints about the potential project, which will reportedly help people in need of a second chance by giving them $1 million (£667,000).

Seacrest writes, "Met with Lindsay last night about a show idea I have for her... it helps people and gives others a second shot! Still putting it all together."

Lohan will sit on the judging panel, listening to stories to determine which contestant deserves the cash prize, according to TMZ.com.

According to an onlooker contacted by Celebuzz, the late night incident started when Francis was partying in the same area as Jenner, his girlfriend Jayde Nicole, Paris Hilton and her boyfriend Doug Reinhardt The onlooker says that it was Francis being "rude to all the girls that Brody was with. Frankie Delgado grew up straddling the border bouncing between Tijuana, Mexico and San Diego, California until moving to Los Angles in 2003 after attending San Diego State University. PopStar spoke with Frankie who talked about ditching the clubs and hitting the office these days, creating new concepts of shows for a variety for different networks.

MTV has renewed freshman reality shows "The City" and "Daddy's Girls," and given a series order to the recent special "Teen Cribs."

The network will bring back Whitney Port's "Hills" spinoff for a second season, as well as additional episodes of Vanessa and Angela Simmons' "Daddy's Girls." MTV has also ordered 20 episodes of spinoff "Teen Cribs" (which debuted as a special on Jan. 17).

Still undecided: The fate of Brody Jenner’s freshman series "Bromance."...

Brody Jenner may be known as a Hollywood hunk with a habit of club-hopping and playing the field, but those days are over, he says – now that he's dating Playboy's 2008 Playmate of the Year, Jayde Nicole. "We're completely smitten for each other," Jenner, 25, tells People. "I'm loving life." The couple, who've known each other (through one of Jenner's exes) for more than two years, had a bit of a false start when Jenner asked Nicole, 22, to meet him at a San Diego club, where he was hosting an event, and she didn't show up. "I was totally heartbroken," he says.

A ninth season of the James Belushi sitcom would be a major disaster, sure, but I'm more concerned about an unusual spate of minor earthquakes in Yellowstone National Park, which might be the signal of some imminent volcanic eruption that would take out the entire Midwest (buh-bye Utah) and throw enough volcanic ash into the atmosphere to cast the rest of the globe into a nuclear winter for decades.

Note to self: Stock up on self-tanner.

If a volcanic eruption doesn't get us then there's always bird flu, or solar storms, or a giant meteor. At any rate, something big is coming, I can feel it.

You know too much is too much when MTV is hyping up The Hills’ spinoff Bromance. Firstly, it’s a cheesy title that, on first glance, implies guy-on-guy action, but upon further analysis you realize that it is merely a way for Brody Jenner to receive a paycheck. With a tagline like “Get Bromantic”, how can you not roll your eyes? With the addition of The Real World: Brooklyn and the 18293th season of American Idol, you realize that Reality Television is losing the initial appeal it had in the early ‘00s. When the quest for the next big thing was indeed, the next big thing on our television screens.

Just so you know I’m not dissing reality TV as a whole. I am an avid follower of The Hills, The City (starring Whitney Port) and Project Runway - the latter being extremely innovative and actually resulting in...

Not all the fans of "The Hills" appear ready to move to "The City."

The premiere of the "Hills" spinoff, which follows Whitney Port as she relocates to New York to take on a new job, averaged 1.6 million total viewers at 10 p.m. Monday.

That's a dropoff from the Season 4 finale of "The Hills," which averaged 2.6 million viewers in the time slot the previous week. (Both "The Hills" finale and "The City" premiere aired during holiday weeks.)

However, "The City" was able to significantly build on its lead-in, the premiere of reality competition series "Bromance" starring "Hills" staple Brody Jenner. That show averaged 963,000 viewers at 9 p.m.

The City - MTV Shows Brody Jenner’s Bromance isn’t the only new show premiering on MTV tonight—it’ll be followed at 10 pm Et by The City, another “reality show” from the Laguna Beach/The Hills gang. This time, Whitney Port will be leaving La to “follow her dream” (a.k.a. follow the money and fame) to New York City to work for Diane Von Furstenberg, a job I’m sure she got completely on her own merit and not because she’s on TV. Along the way, she’ll pick up pretty new friends and supposedly have something to do with the fashion business. MTV claims she has “only herself to rely on” and “she’ll have to make it on her own,” but considering she’s got a camera crew following her around and producers staging her every move, I’m sure she’ll be just fine.
