Exclusive: Zoe Lister-Jones and Sofia Rosinsky have joined Peacock’s upcoming comedy, The Miniature Wife as series regulars.
They join stars and executive producers Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen in the series created and executive produced by Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner, who also serve as showrunners.

Greg Mottola will direct the first two episodes and serves as an executive producer alongside Banks, Macfadyen, Ames, Turner, and Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer for Media Res and Michael Aguilar.
Lister-Jones is an actress, writer, director and producer who most recently starred as Anne in the experimental musical biopic Pavements from director Alex Ross Perry.

Amy Schumer is back with a new movie, resuming her Netflix relationship despite their disagreements eight years ago when she wanted more than $11 million for a stand-up special. The trailer for Kinda Pregnant has been out for a week but has just 55 thousand views (and 1.7 thousand likes) as of Jan. 13, 2025. That's compared to the more successful trailers for relatively little-known upcoming Netflix titles, like Don't Die: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever (509 thousand views), Cassandra (138 thousand views), Bandidos Season 2 (208 thousand views), and one of several trailers for Sakamoto Days (3 million views in three days).
Perhaps this has to do with the lengthy history of negativity towards Schumer, for various reasons. She has certainly had a contentious relationship with her audience (who she refuses to be photographed with in most instances), frequently fueled by social media, that great catalyst of catastrophe.

The multiverse? So hot right now.
Theories surrounding alternate universes have existed in some form or another since the days of pre-Socratic Greek philosopher Anaximander in the sixth century Bce. Recently, however, popular culture has realized the full storytelling potential of infinite worlds in grand fashion. Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty arguably brought the age-old concept to the mainstream. Then Marvel Studios kicked off its own Multiverse Saga with phases 4 through 6 of the long-running franchise. Most recently, the multiverse-friendly Everything Everywhere All At Once won seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
While the multiverse is very much in right now, there is an important element that most, if not all, of these multiverse projects are missing. And that’s something that actress and filmmaker Zoe Lister-Jones is hoping to rectify with her new Roku Channel series Slip.

We feel pretty great about the fact that today is Amy Schumer's birthday. The blonde beauty has a lot to celebrate this year, since this is her first birthday as a mom to son Gene Fischer, who was born just last month on May 5 in New York City. As we wait to see what adorable or totally real mom moment Schumer posts on her birthday, we've been taking a look back at the birthday girl's funniest roles over the years. After appearing on Last Comic Standing in 2007, Schumer rose to fame quite quickly, but some of her early acting credits (especially on TV) might surprise you. From the short-lived series Delocated to 2018's I Feel Pretty, Schumer has always managed to hook us in with funny...

ABC has given a put pilot commitment to a single-camera comedy project that hails from Zoe Lister-Jones.
Lister-Jones is known for her acting work, but will serve as the writer and executive producer on the project. It is titled “Woman Up” and follows two former teen moms who have worked their asses off to see their daughters all the way through high school graduation. And now, at 37, they’re ready to make up for the youth they never had.
Lister-Jones will executive produce under her Ms. Lister Films banner. In addition to Lister-Jones, Liz Meriwether will also executive produce. Meriwether recently co-created the ABC comedy series “Single Parents” and worked with Lister-Jones when the latter guest starred on “New Girl.” Jason Winer and Jon Radler will also executive produce via their Small Dog Picture Company. 20th Century Fox Television will produce.

There are few communities as obsessive as Adult Swim fans. The Cartoon Network nighttime programming block debuted in 2001 as a subversive spin on the animated channel’s daytime fare, and soon grew into a catch-all for bold creators. It eventually shook off its animated-only ethos to allow for surreal visions and adventurous filmmaking that fostered some of Hollywood’s most off-the-wall thinkers, and even brought in game celebrities to join in the insanity. Nearly every As title has disparate cults to fight for the programs that speak to them, whether it’s the rockers who ride for “Metalocalypse,” the Tim & Eric faithful who crowd the duo’s live shows, or the chemically enhanced who get their kicks on “Off the Air.”
Here are our picks for the network’s top 20 original comedy series, taking cultural influence into account alongside laughs.

Jon Glaser loves gear. “Jon Glaser” really loves gear.
TruTV’s new series “Jon Glaser Loves Gear,” which premieres Wednesday night, defies classification. It’s a fake reality show about a celebrity who loves cool gadgets, but it includes segments with real people showcasing real cool gadgets. It’s heavily improvised, but with real scripted story tangents, as comedian Jon Glaser, playing an awful version of himself, watches the narrative unravel.
“It is weirdly hard to describe,” Glaser said. “And when people ask, ‘What is gear?’ that has an even wider definition.”
“Jon Glaser Loves Gear” follows the fictional Glaser as he pitches TruTV on the show, which the network quickly greenlights. He finds a sidekick (Steve Cirbus, “Delocated”) and in the first episode, and sets out to go camping. After his wife refuses to play along, he auditions models to play his spouse… and things fall apart once the camping gets started.

Amy Schumer makes the many trysts in her new comedy Trainwreck look easy and breezy, but her first time, like all first times, was anything but. “My first sex scene was with [Eugene Mirman]. He was supposed to be losing his virginity to me, and we were supposed to be wasted,” Schumer explained to the overflowing crowd at the Apple Soho store on Monday evening. Schumer had a recurring role as Trish, the girlfriend of Yvgeny (played by Eugene Mirman), an inept Russian hit man with a penchant for vodka-centric stand-up, on Adult Swim’s mockumentary-style TV series Delocated. Schumer continued: At the same time he’s having his first orgasm, he finds out that his dad dies. So he was scream-crying and drooling and coming, and I’m under him. It was the kind of thing where at first I was trying to make him comfortable because he was shy, so I was like,...

The Amy Schumer HBO Special will be filmed at the Apollo Theater in New York City on May 29, with HBO set to air the special later this year. There was a certain point in history, somewhere between The Simpsons and Daria, when TV animation ceased to be the sole provenance of kids drooling over their morning bowls of Lucky Charms. These days, cartoons for grown-ups are not only ubiquitous, but hilariously twisted and high-quality to boot — and that's due in large part to a phenomenon called Adult Swim. What began as a freaky little block of late-night programming has evolved into a vast, even-freakier universe of animated and live-action series with a sardonic, absurdist sense of humor that's...

According to Variety, Adult Swim is ready to sink its teeth into “Neon Joe, Werewolf Hunter,” a pilot from creator Jon Glaser (pictured) that follows a man who happens to have both a particular fashion sense and a desirable skill set.
The show’s hero is Neon Joe, someone with a mysterious past and a craft that comes in handy when a sudden plague of inexplicable werewolf fatalities strikes, leaving the sheriff’s department of the pretend sleepy enclave of Garrity, Vermont (aka “B&B Town, USA!”), at a loss and the townspeople fearing for their lives. Will he catch the beast before the next full moon, or will it live another day and kill again?...

There's no gap between Comedy Central's new series "Review" and the show-within-a-show on which it's focused, "Review with Forrest MacNeil." Everything that Forrest MacNeil, played by Andy Daly ("Eastbound & Down," "Delocated"), is shown doing is part of the fictional series he's hosting, one in which he reviews life experiences at the request of his viewers. "Life... it's literally all we have. But is it any good?" he thunders in the introduction, before taking on and then rating things like "stealing," "prom" and "eating 15 pancakes" on a five-star scale. That the show-within-a-show is all we see is part of the stealthy genius of "Review," which aired its third, funniest and darkest episode last night. "Review" takes place in sketch-like shorter chunks, but Forrest doesn't go unscathed by his experiences. A request that he review "addiction" in the first episode leads him to reluctantly dabble in cocaine use ("Some people simply...

Under their production company Pffr, Vernon Chatman and John Lee have made some of the most brilliantly and aggressively weird programming to ever air on television. Their children's show parody "Wonder Showzen," which ran on MTV2 for two seasons from 2005 to 2006, used the bright, chipper tone of a "Sesame Street"-style series to achieve dark, caustically funny moments -- like an apparently instructional segment on the importance of hand-washing that becomes an ode to Ocd ("The shame never seems to scrub off," notes the child voiceover). Since then, the pair and their collaborators Alyson Levy and Jim Tozzi have found a fitting home for their work at Adult Swim, where they've had first the computer-animated saga "Xavier: Renegade Angel," then "Delocated," a fake reality series about a man in witness protection starring Jon Glaser. Pffr's latest series "The Heart, She Holler" may be the most singular and strange yet, a...

Surprise! Comedy Central has renewed the sweet sketch comedy, Inside Amy Schumer for a second season.
The show is still a relatively new one, having just launched this year in April. Schumer herself and Daniel Powell are the show’s executive producers and if you’re not sure what the sketch comedy is all about, you can still watch the very first episode, titled “Bad Decisions” on the Comedy Central website.
The great news of a second season renewal came when the comedian made the announcement herself on Monday via Twitter.
“Hey! #InsideAmy Schumer got picked up for Season 2! Thanks @ComedyCentral New episode tomorrow at 10:30/9:30 Central,” she wrote.
The Viacom-owned, funny, cable network, Comedy Central also confirmed the news. The show made for Comedy Central’s top premiere of 2013! The best news? The premier really drew in male viewers. Following a new episode of Tosh.0, Inside Amy opened to 1.6 million total viewers.

It’s funny that Councilman Jamm serves as the eponymous “Swing Vote” this episode as he’s also become the hinge upon which Leslie’s arc this season has rested, and unfortunately it’s almost as weak as that travesty known as the Hoover Dam. Jon Glaser is a very talented performer (if you don’t know Delocated, get on that right now) who has made me laugh every episode in which he’s appeared as Councilman Jamm, but the character is pretty two-dimensional, essentially Tom’s fragrance rival, Dennis Feinstein, with a penchant for stealing patients’ putters from his dentist’s office waiting room. I’m fine with a simple character whom makes me laugh, but if that character’s going to serve as the personification of our protagonist’s greatest idealistic challenge, especially after that idealism has been so well defined over the course of four previous seasons,...

Last night, the pretty bonkers series finale of Delocated aired. So it's hard not to wonder what its creator, Jon Glaser, will do next (aside from reprise his roles on Girls and Parks and Recreation). If his recent conversation with Eugene Mirman is any indication, Glaser has plenty of new show ideas: There's Stayin' Put!, his show about comedians who don't move to L.A.; and Chiquitas, which is "sort of like Girls but it’s in Cancun." However, at the New York Delocated finale party at Comedy Bar last night, he might've announced to Vulture his best project yet: Neon Joe: Werewolf Hunter. "It’s about a guy that wears neon but he also hates werewolves," he told us. "He wears Coors Light pants because they call Coors Light the silver bullet, so those are his silver bullets to combat werewolves." As for how this brilliant idea came to...

Comedian Jon Glaser has had a big year: He's had big guest spots on two zeitgeist-y shows, "Girls" (as an ex-junkie with a crush on Hannah) and "Parks and Recreation" (as a councilman who hates Leslie). Plus, his own Adult Swim series, "Delocated," about a man in Witness Protection who happens to have his own reality show, sees its series finale this Thursday, March 7.
HuffPost Live's Ricky Camilleri interviewed Glaser about his long career in comedy on Friday. At least, he attempted to conduct the interview, but in typical Jon Glaser fashion, Jon was more content to make fun of the host and the very idea of the interview.
In the clip above, Jon tells his story about getting rejected from "SNL" after deciding that the show was sorely lacking in impressions of King Hussein of Jordan.

Delocated star and creator Jon Glaser has been a fixture of the comedy community for well over a decade: He started at Chicago's Second City; joined the now-storied writing staff of The Dana Carvey Show, alongside Louis C.K., Robert Carlock, and other greats; and went on to write for Late Night with Conan O' Brien for a half-decade. But this year is shaping up to be his biggest yet. In the past two months alone he's had roles on Girls (as Hannah's former-addict neighbor Laird) and Parks and Recreation (as the show's only villain, Councilman Jamm). And although his Adult Swim program is coming to an end March 7, it had a good three-year run. With all this going on, Vulture enlisted Eugene Mirman (Glaser's friend and repeat Delocated guest star) to check in on his fellow comic. Herewith, a slightly condensed version of their conversation, including a glimpse at...

In only the third episode of the season, Leslie is already seeing her second bill try to get passed, this one a much less controversial one than last episode’s soda tax, a proposal spurred by the local children’s swimming team, the Pawnee Porpoises, to extend the public pools’ hours of operation so the team can practice more. A seemingly innocuous enough bill, right? Well, as we come to find in the cold open, Jon Glaser of Delocated playing Councilman Jamm has a deadly combination of a preference for Leslie’s private bathroom in her new office, irritable bowel syndrome, and somewhat ironically, not giving a shit. This lethal combo leads...

New Pawnee City Council member Leslie Knope will find she can't win everyone over on the new season of "Parks and Recreation."
The NBC comedy has cast comedian and "Declocated" creator/star Jon Glaser as a fellow member of the Pawnee council. He's an orthdontist who, in the words of "Parks" co-creator Mike Schur, "basically becomes Leslie's [Amy Poehler] nemesis."
"He doesn't find her interesting or charming at all, and doesn't care about her bright-eyed, bushy-tailed attitude toward making the town better," Schur tells TVLine. "He just doesn't like her."
Glaser will make his first appearance in the season's third episode, which is scheduled for Oct. 4.
Glaser has worked on several Adult Swim shows in addition to "Delocated," among them "Stroker and Hoop" and "Wonder Showzen." He wrote for (and occasionally appeared on) "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" for several years, and like "Parks" star Aziz Ansari was a member of the Human Giant comedy troupe.

Continuing to prove that there is a place on TV for talented improvisers beyond Sonic commercials, Parks And Recreation has hired comedian and Delocated star Jon Glaser for multiple episodes in its next season. Glaser will be playing one of Pawnee's city councilmen, an orthodontist who, according to showrunner Michael Schur, " becomes Leslie’s nemesis. He doesn’t find her interesting or charming at all, and doesn’t care about her bright-eyed, bushy-tailed attitude toward making the town better… He just doesn’t like her." Well clearly, he would have preferred Paul Rudd. Speaking of references, can we make ...

Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) will be settling into her new job as a recently elected city councilwoman on the upcoming fifth season of Parks and Recreation — but not all of her new colleagues will welcome her with open arms.
Jon Glaser, a writer for Late Night with Conan O'Brien and star of Adult Swim's Delocated!, has been cast on the NBC comedy as a local orthodontist who also serves on the town council and quickly becomes Leslie's "nemesis," TV Line reports.

Delocated's Jon Glaser is the newest resident of Pawnee. He'll play one of Parks and Recreation's other council members, an orthodontist whom Leslie can't get along with. "He doesn't find [Leslie] interesting or charming at all," Mike Schur tells TVLine. "He just doesn't like her." Glaser will appear on several episodes throughout the season, which means it'll be worth investing in some kind of balaclava-shaped waffle iron, for all your P&R/Delocated celebration needs.

Leslie Knope’s plum new city council gig comes with one major drawback: a nemesis.
TVLine has learned exclusively that comedian Jon Glaser has joined Parks and Recreation‘s fifth season, playing a town councilman — one of two the audience has yet to meet. (We have in seasons past been introduced to the lecherous Councilman Dexhart and the reasonable Councilman Howser.)

For the latest episode of "7 Minutes in Heaven," Mike O'Brien was joined in the closet by comedian and "Delocated" star Jon Glaser.
Glaser broke all kinds of boundaries in his interview -- he's not only the first guest to bring a sandwich into the closet, he's also the first one to turn the tables and try to kiss O'Brien within the first minute of being in there. This is groundbreaking stuff.
The silliness didn't stop the guys from covering real topics, though. They talked dads, kissing Darth Vader and what to name Glaser's armpit hair during their time together.
Watch the full clip above, and let us know in the comments if you'd support "It's So Hard on a Bro" being released as an mp3 (it can't be just us, right?).
Also, you can check out a ton of previous "7 Minutes" episodes here.

Here’s a description of Delocated, the comedy series that airs on Adult Swim (Cartoon Network’s late night programming), taken straight from the Wikipedia page: Jon Glaser plays a man in the Witness Protection Program who moves his family to New York City so they can star in a reality TV show, forced to wear ski masks and have his voice changed at all times. There are a few ways to respond to this premise. First, you could be baffled, which is how I imagine most Americans reacting. When you start to parse the specifics, the logical flaws become obvious, and...

Joe Mande is one of the most prolific comedians on Twitter, most often using the social media site to retweet or comment on the most vapid, hypocritical, or simply ridiculous tweets from various celebrities and politicians. (NBA star Gilbert Arenas even deleted his Twitter account for a few months last year after the comedian drew attention to his sexist and misogynistic tweets.) He's also responsible for the popular blog "Look At This Fucking Hipster" and a book of the same name."On stage and in person, I think I am nice, thoughtful, and empathetic," Mande says. "But for some reason when I'm online, I become super aggressive and unhinged. I should probably get off of Twitter and see a therapist."On top of his 140-character jokes, Mande has also appeared on VH1's "Best Week Ever" and wrote for the third season of Jon Glaser's "Delocated" on Adult Swim,...

Whoa, I’m disappointed. How did that happen? Delocated is the funniest show on TV. Cheers is an iconic classic that basically defined the sit-com for people my age. Sam Malone should be an easy target for “Jon” (Jon Glaser), as Sam’s exactly the sort of cool, handsome sex genius Jon clearly tries to be. Jon’s immature, inappropriate sexual advances are typically too funny and pathetic to ever seem genuinely creepy, but when channeling Sam Malone his sex talk becomes trite, boring and more than a little off-putting. How did this happen?...

Part of Delocated‘s appeal is the semblance of realism that grounds its more absurd moments. Its New York is real and recognizable in a way the New York of Sex and the City or Friends never was. The Mirminsky and Wang Cho crime families might be stereotypes, but they’re almost always portrayed in serious and believable lights. Even the show’s two most ridiculous (and, not coincidentally, most central) characters, “Jon” and Yvgeny, are barely disguised cartoon versions of the show’s creator Jon Glaser and comedian Eugene Mirmen. In a way Delocated is no less real than the type of bottom-feeder...

People don’t believe me when I tell them that Delocated‘s second season was one of the best shows of 2010. They see the Adult Swim logo and Jon Glaser in his black skimask and just write it off as either stoner nonsense or “too cool for school” anticomedy for hipsters (as if that word has any meaning). It’s their loss; you don’t have to be a student or a 4Chan creep to dig this show. Delocated offers the sly absurdity of alternative comedy in a somewhat traditional sit-com package that won’t scare away viewers who think Tim and Eric or...

If you are not a fan of Delocated yet, then a marathon sitting at home is the only way to digest it. You just have to keep in mind that it gets better once you learn the characters. Jon Glaser has created an awkward comedy with an even more awkward and bizarre premise. A family in federal witness protection gets a deal for a reality TV series. The government lets them move to New York and do the series as long as they always wear their masks. Although this mockumentary is outrageously unbelievable, in today’s world of Kim Kardashian dominated pseudo-reality TV, anything goes. Just remember you have to want to stick it out through the first few episodes.
The pilot opens up with Jon (Glaser) and his family moving with their security detail to New York City. It’s not long before you realize that Jon is a self-absorbed jerk.

Adult Swim has just announced that Emmy nominated actress and comedian Janeane Garofalo will join the cast of Delocated in season 3. Delocated creator and star Jon Glaser teased, “I couldn¹t be less excited… Janeane is not very funny, and she¹s also a terrible actress.” Glaser adds, “Oh My God, Hilarious! I Actually Mean The Opposite Of Everything I Just Said About Her! Welcome, Janeane!” Garofalo joins the cast as Susan Shapiro, the head of the television network that produces the reality show about Jon (played by Glaser), a man in the witness protection program. After testifying against the Russian Mafia, Jon accepts an offer to participate in a reality show based on his life. In order to protect his identity with television audiences‹and more importantly, the Russian mob family the Mirminsky’s he wears a ski mask and has his voice surgically disguised. The new version of Arthur didn't do so well, but co-star Greta Gerwig, who took on the Liza Minelli role, came out of it all more or less untarnished. She has already shot Whit Stillman's very long in the making Damsels in Distress (fingers really and truly crossed for that to be good), and is now set for a new Fox Searchlight comedy with the intriguing title Lola Versus. (I think I saw that band play once in the '90s.) And she might have company, in the form of Orlando Bloom, who is evidently making a full return to the screen after a few years away. Variety [1] gives up the synopsis like a waiter handing over a fragrant, filled to the brim cocktail: Gerwig will star as a woman who is dumped just weeks before her wedding by her college sweetheart, prompting her to embark on a series...

A new trailer for "Cowboys & Aliens" was released on "American Idol" last night and it sent Twitter all atwitter. While we're not sure the title implies a singular champion, we've got some celebrity predictions for which side comes out on top.
"Game of Thrones" premieres Sunday and we keep forgetting that it's not a movie. But there's something about it that makes us love it. We're guessing it's the brooding and the violence (Just like in the movies!). We've got some early reviews fresh off the Twitter.com Internet Website. Meanwhile, "Scream 4" lands in theaters and it's Emma Watson's 21st birthday today. See what Voldemort had to say!

The latest round of pilot casting includes a familiar face returning to CBS, Fox casting a lead in "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" and NBC adding three actors to its "Prime Suspect" pilot.
These updates come courtesy of Deadline Hollywood, which, we must admit, has pretty much been owning the casting news this pilot season. Here's the rundown:

Comedian Jon Glaser gleefully skewers what others hold sacred. His Adult Swim show, Delocated, plays with the dreadfully serious topic of witness protection, wondering what would happen if the guy being protected were a real fame whore, starring in a reality-tv series where he and his family modulate their voices and wear balaclavas the whole time. And even with this already-outrageous premise, the show excels when it pushes its comedy to the silly breaking point. In My Dead Dad Was In Zz Top: 100% Real*, Never-Before-Seen Documents From The World Of Rock And Roll, Glaser finds a tailor-made vehicle for ...

As Mark Twain once wisely observed, “Analyzing humor is like dissecting a frog.” The result, he warned, is that the frog usually dies. He was probably right, but even so, there’s something about Delocated, the Adult Swim series created by and starring Jon Glaser, that makes me want to kill a fucking frog. The show’s first season, which originally aired last summer and consisted of just six 15-minute episodes, is a veritable smorgasbord of frog-murdering moments. The premise, at least on paper, is semi-amusing at best: a family in the Witness Protection Program stars in a reality TV show. It sounds like a sketch idea for a late-night comedy show. (Glaser spent five years writing for Late Night with Conan O’Brien.) But somehow, it manages to be one of the funniest and most original shows on TV today. And it’s almost impossible to explain why. Take the pilot episode,...
