Bee and PuppyCat: Lazy in Space isn't just a show; it's a warm hug wrapped in a kaleidoscope. From the whimsical pastels to the laid-back, slice-of-life approach to magical girl shenanigans, this show is a masterpiece of comforting charm. Every episode feels like a warm cup of cocoa on a rainy day, a sprinkle of glitter on a dull Tuesday.
The surreal world Bee and PuppyCat inhabit is as enchanting as it is strange. Talking cats with mysterious pasts, floating cities powered by emotions, and temp jobs that turn into intergalactic adventures - this show revels in the unexpected, reminding us that the ordinary can be extraordinary with a dash of imagination.
But where Bee and PuppyCat truly shines is in its gentle approach to storytelling. Forget saving the world; Bee's biggest struggle is often paying rent on her tiny apartment. This mundane grounding gives the fantastical elements even more weight, making the characters and their journeys feel relatable and endearing.
It's this relatability that made Bee and PuppyCat a beacon of comfort during the pandemic. The show's focus on dreaming big, even when life feels overwhelming, resonated deeply. Bee's struggles with self-doubt and financial woes mirrored our own, while PuppyCat's boundless optimism offered a much-needed escape.
More than just a comfort show, Bee and PuppyCat inspired me to dream. It reminded me that magic exists in the everyday, that joy can be found in the simplest things, and that it's never too late to chase your wildest, silliest dreams.
With its captivating animation, quirky characters, and heartwarming stories, Bee and PuppyCat: Lazy in Space is a 10/10 masterpiece. It's a show I'll rewatch countless times, a cozy haven I can always return to whenever life needs a touch of sweetness and whimsy. And to Netflix, I say this: PLEASE renew for a third season! The world needs more Bee and PuppyCat adventures, and we the fans are ready to embark on them.

Frederatot alway bring the most inventive cartoons. Bee n puppycat is not that's decepointing, started as pilot on YouTube later it was pick up for a full series. It wasn't bad love the colors palettes that they show on the series. The story re very melancholy for the way how the characters interact in the environment with so much to see n todo, n is fun my favorite is the wrestler n pregnant Toast always looking for a fight with Cast, so much fun, then you got. Cardamon the landlord always changing the rent to Bee, but Sticky he's dog always following him to different places. But the best are the protagonist Bee and Puppycat always on adventure or doing a job, that takes the duo's to planets, then her motorcycle cat, so kawai.
I can't say much love the world n the characters It feels like a Moe genre's (cute characters doing cute things) hahahaha. Today's generation of animators are becoming more creative in their work, been invited with what they do.
From Adventure Time to Steven Universe's, are taking influence from Japan kawai culture, I felt this like Lucky Star sheer full and about nothing when comes to the motive of the characters.
So if ye want to see something relax n simply Bee and Puppycat is the one.
Bye.

BEE & PUPPYCAT (2022) was a profoundly unique, lovely experience. In my opinion, it is an adorable story of a one-of-a-kind friendship between an oddball woman named Bee (old lady?) and a fiesty space creature called PuppyCat, who "looks like a cat but smells like a puppy". Season 2 adds more depth to the world (island/space) and further develops the characters. As a whole, this retro-esque chibi sci-fi series gives off high levels of quirk. Charming, quaint, poignant and kinda bizarre--this show really has a lot of heart and soul. And it's difficult to explain this show really. It is wholly original and fresh, with beautifully designed world, vividly imagined characters, pastel colored aesthetics and honestly--something extremely and extraordinarily calming about it.
While there is much emotional and nostalgic depth here, and plenty of cute everyday stories going on, it's also quite surreal and metaphysical, at times even mind-bending and nearing on the trippy, sci-fi psychedelic side. It's a great series to watch and rewatch, and the slow, peaceful vibes make it a great bedtime show as well. It might just chill you to sleep. ; ) That may sound bad, but it's not in actuallity.
I really love this series, the artwork, the world, the characters and its incredibly moving atmosphere...oh, did I mention music? The retro mellow OST is really amazing, beautiful and memorable. I hope to see more like it in the future. Definitely worth the watch and rewatches. Completely far out there and filled with such random bizarre cuteness! Such a uber sweet, perfect series. A creative work of genius. Loved it! Both seasons!!

In reviewing the reboot of this iconic indie show, I must say I am excited. For now I only watched the first episode to get a feel for how they were handling this storyline. If you watched the sparse pilot episodes way back when like I did, then you'll be pleasantly surprised to see how much they jam pack into this first one. As a matter of fact it is almost to a fault, because if you are watching this show for the first time ever, you're not really catching all the hints they're throwing your way. Elements of the show that were deeply important and spread throughout the few episodes back then are now squished into this first episode. Without spoiling, they're already alluding to a big element pertaining to a main character right off the bat, within the first few minutes. Then such things as songs and stories that were revealed in the finale, are now here to digest in your first watch.
Is this a good thing? It could be, if you don't want to watch a show all over again and want to continue the plot as soon as possible. If you're a first time watcher, then you'll get the idea that there is a lot going on and you need to pay attention. If you are like me, you somewhat wish a few things were left unsaid, at least the plot twist.
The tone of the show is unique in that it shows more than tells. Many times if you blink or look away, you might be missing a silent moment happening. Sometimes moments happen, but are not special to the episode, but they will be important later on. They are very clear in getting your attention, focusing on a single item most of the time, and you're wondering if it is a red herring, a visual clue, or just something they're showing to remind you something happened.
Funnily enough, this show is actually action packed, but the way the characters speak and react to things you don't ever feel too overstimulated. This show is the kind that could be played in the background and not disturb you, but still be interesting when you look up again. All in all, I'm looking forward to seeing more of it!

Having discovered the web series on Channel Frederator way back when, I was extremely excited to learn the the continuation was coming to Netflix. Though when watching it, I realized it was part continuation and part retelling. There are some clips and references to the web series but with a fresh new take and new story. Netflix is known to give their content creators full range to make the show however they want, so seeing Natasha Allegri take full reigns on the show made it all the better. The animation is beautiful at times and fun/cute at others without it coming off too bubbly. With more episodes, it gave audiences time to explore the characters, the worlds and the possibilities of the show. The show doesn't take itself too seriously and knows its audiences. That's not to say it's all style and no substance. It's action packed but the action never takes away from the story, it's weird but not nonsensical and more importantly its never boring. This show has scenes beautifully animated, good visual gags, as well as good jobs and the voice acting is spot on. If I had any complaint, it would be sometimes we spend a tad long on certain side characters, but it never turned me off from the show. This has easily become my favorite show to come out of 2022.

- TriviaShortly after the 2022 delay announcement in late 2019, Frederator Studio's then CEO, Fred Seibert, accidentally uploaded "Lazy in Space" in its entirety to his personal Vimeo account in full HD in early 2020. Although the episodes were deleted shortly after, it was too late as people had already ripped & downloaded the series and shared it online.
