That being said, Game of Thrones began well over a decade ago. This means that, unsurprisingly, several elements in this adaptation of George R. R. Martin's A Song of Fire & Ice did not age well, even when taking the first seven seasons into account. Some of the HBO show's aspects actively got worse when put under the lens of retrospective analyses. Even the most diehard fans have since acknowledged the numerous problems with Game of Thrones.

The games industry has been hit with more developer closures, and much like what happened with Visceral Games back in 2017, this one hits horror fans. Per Bloomberg, Warner Bros. Games has reportedly shuttered Player First Games (the devs behind MultiVersus), WB San Diego, and F.E.A.R. and Condemned: Criminal Origins developer Monolith Productions.

“We have had to make some very difficult decisions to structure our development studios and investments around building the best games possible with our key franchises – Harry Potter, Mortal Kombat, DC and Game of Thrones,” reads a statement from WB Games. “After careful consideration, we are closing three of our development studios – Monolith Productions, Player First Games and Warner Bros. Games San Diego. This is a strategic change in direction and not a reflection of these teams or the talent that consists within them.”

Prior to today’s announcement, Monolith was working on a Wonder Woman game, which has now been cancelled.

The third season of House of the Dragon is about to start shooting, and showrunner Ryan Condal gave some updates on the latest episode of his podcast The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of. Usually this podcast is about props, but Condal will occasionally share things about the Game of Thrones prequel as well.

Speaking with Deadline at The White Lotus Season 3 premiere, HBO's Head of Drama Series and Films, Francesca Orsi, stated that Season 3 will begin with the Battle of the Gullet, one of the bloodiest events in the show's source material, George R.R. Martin's Fire and Blood. The battle was teased in the Season 2 finale, and Orsi insists House of the Dragon will waste no time getting into it during the Season 3 premiere. “I’m really excited. I think you’re going to be in for a great surprise on how we start the [season] with an exciting battle,” Orsi said. “You know what, it was worth the wait.

A Game of Thrones vet is about to face off against a cold-blooded killer: Peter Dinklage has joined the cast of the Dexter sequel series Resurrection, TVLine has learned.

Although no official synopsis is available yet for the Michael C. Getting Bright Blood in Hyper Light Breaker is the best way to continue to progress your game. There are a fair number of ways to do so, but they are not all as intuitive as some of the others. The game is in Early Access, so there may still be more ways to get Bright Blood as the game continues to grow and expand.

The Early Access version of Hyper Light Breaker is still being improved as the game continues to get updated. There will be more enemies, more characters, and more upgrades as the game gets closer to full launch. If you’re in the mood for some fast-paced old-school 90s Fps action, solo developer James Dornan might have just what you need with Cruel, which was recently released to Steam. Mixing in roguelike elements with run and gun gameplay, Cruel echoes the look of Blood, as well as having a similar vein of twisted dark humour.

Plus, in Evil Dead fashion, you get to wield a chainsaw and shotgun simultaneously.

Seeing as it’s a homage to the height of 90s shooters, there’s not much here for the story, which doesn’t take itself too seriously. You find yourself disoriented next to a lifeless body in an elevator, trapped in a bizarre hotel. Without hesitation, you grab the weapon from the corpse’s cold grip, bracing yourself for the horrors ahead.

Review: It’s always very ambitious for a franchise to announce its plans way ahead of time. It certainly has bit Marvel on the butt, but if you’re going to parody their release schedule, you have to do things full bore. And I think most of us at least chuckled when the Poohniverse was announced. So smack dab in the middle of their release lies Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, a horror take on the J.M. Barrie classic. And it’s a hell of a lot darker than expected.

Apple TV+ has unveiled the trailer and key art for its Prime Target series, starring SAG Award winner Leo Woodall and Quintessa Swindell.

Created by award-winning writer Steve Thompson, who serves as executive producer, the conspiracy thriller is produced for Apple TV+ by New Regency with Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions.

The first two episodes of the eight-episode Prime Target series will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on January 22. One episode will follow weekly every Wednesday through March 5.

Prime Target features a brilliant young math postgraduate, Edward Brooks (played by Leo Woodall), who is on the verge of a major breakthrough. If he succeeds in finding a pattern in prime numbers, he will hold the key to every computer in the world.

George R.R. Martin thinks Game of Thrones and Star Wars share the same storytelling magic. On HBO’s Official Game of Thrones Podcast, Martin dropped some serious wisdom.

The ever-expanding Dexter franchise is bringing James Remar and David Zayas back into the fold with Dexter: Resurrection. Remar will reprise his role as Dexter’s deceased dad and mentor, Harry. Zayas returns as Detective Angel Batista, a character he played in nearly 100 episodes of the original series.

Michael C. Hall leads the cast as serial killer Dexter Morgan, and Jack Alcott’s back as his son, Harrison, a role he played in Dexter: New Blood. Clyde Phillips guides the series as showrunner. Phillips also serves as an executive producer along with Michael C. Hall, Scott Reynolds (Jessica Jones), Tony Hernandez (Emily in Paris), and Lilly Burns (Russian Doll).

Marcos Siega (Dexter: New Blood) is involved as a producing director. The latest addition to the franchise is produced by Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios.

Filming is expected to get underway this month, with Paramount+ with Showtime targeting a summer 2025 premiere.

Dragons are among the most powerful creatures to ever exist in Westeros, but several have died in House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones. Ever since Daenerys Targaryen’s three dragon eggs hatched on Khal Drogo’s funeral pyre, dragons have been one of the most fantastical, awe-inspiring parts of this world, which on-screen has been true across both Thrones and its prequel show. They’re a force of nature, and spectacular when they’re unleashed.

Fire cannot kill a dragon. Daenerys says as much in Game of Thrones (and the first A Song of Ice and Fire book). But that doesn’t mean they can’t die, as seen multiple times. Thanks to George R.R.
