TV Land's 2015 comedy starring Hilary Duff, Younger, is now streaming—and trending—on Netflix, but why did the show conclude with season 7? Younger ran from 2015-2021, originally airing on TV Land. That changed in season 7, with Younger's final season releasing first on Paramount+ and Hulu and later airing on TV Land.

Younger was a popular and well-received comedy centered on Liza Miller (Sutton Foster), a recently divorced single mom who learns that the workforce is not all that friendly to women in their 40s. Because of that, Liza gets a job by pretending to be 26 years old. To date, Younger is very well-regarded, maintaining a staggering 97% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, with its audience score a bit further behind at 76%. If Younger was such a hit, though, what was the reason for its season 7 conclusion?

While Younger was just a little TV series that started on TV Land, it blew up to become hugely popular thanks to the pretty stellar Younger cast. Foster stars as Liza Miller, a 40-year-old divorcee who realizes she can pass off as a 20-something woman and lies about her age to get a job in the publishing industry. She then makes new friends but has to keep lying about her age to protect her job. Some actors have been in the business for decades, and some have lengthy resumes in the theater world.

Hilary Duff may have been the most recognizable name in the cast. Still, fans might recognize other cast members from projects they have been in, with Foster in the lead role and names like Debi Mazar and Miriam Shor in key supporting roles. HBO’s Succession and The Last of Us as well as FX/Hulu comedy The Bear lead all nominations for the 39th annual Television Critics Association’s awards.

The nominations, voted on by the more than 200 members of the Television Critics Association, also saw HBO and its streaming counterpart, Max, lead all platforms with a combined 20 nods including five each for Succession and Last of Us and two apiece for Barry, The Other Two and The White Lotus.

FX — which produces The Bear (five) followed in second place with 10, while Disney+ (Andor) and Peacock (Poker Face) tied for third with nine apiece.

The coveted program of the year race featured last year’s winner, ABC’s Abbott Elementary, joined by Andor, AMC’s Better Call Saul, Poker Face, Succession, The Bear, The Last of Us, The Other Two and The White Lotus.

Love Is Blind season four, Murder Mystery 2, Rob Lowe starrer Unstable and docuseries Waco: American Apocalypse and Emergency: NYC are among the much-anticipated projects hitting Netflix this month.

Dating show Love Is Blind returns on March 24, featuring a new group of singles looking to make a connection based on something other than looks.

Later in the month, the streamer drops Rob and John Owen Lowe’s Unstable, a scripted comedy inspired by the playful dynamic between the real-life father and son. In the series, co-created by Santa Clarita Diet creator Victor Fresco, the elder Lowe plays successful biotech entrepreneur Ellis Dragon who is struggling after the death of his wife. John Owen Lowe plays his introverted son, Jackson, who seems to be the only one who can save his dad.

Now, with its list of new releases for March 2023, Netflix is finishing off what it started with You Season 4 Part 2.

The five episodes that make up You Season 4 Part 2 will premiere on March 9. The ending of Part 1 left things off on quite the cliffhanger so soon we will get to see how Joe (Penn Badgley) reacts to the reveal of the other serial killer in his orbit. March is a time for madness, whether it comes from basketball, Mercury retrograde, or a person’s home streaming habits. Netflix joins in on the chaos by updating its library with all three “Hangover” movies, a whole lot of workout content, “Magic Mike Xxl,” and much, much more.

On March 9, the streamer will premiere Part 2 of “You” Season 2, starring Penn Badgley, Charlotte Ritchie, and Ed Speleers. The five remaining episodes find Joe (Badgley) trapped in a volatile dance with London mayoral candidate and serial killer Rhys (Speleers), trying to prevent more murders but also not go down for the many he’s committed in the process. The trailer shows Joe and Kate (Ritchie) growing closer, more brushes with Kate’s wealthy socialite friends, and the return of Victoria Pedretti as Joe’s wife Love — or maybe the ghost of his wife, and of sins past.

“You” Season 4 Part 2 premieres March...

With five nods, “Abbott Elementary” was the most-nominated series at this year’s Television Critics Awards. The hit comedy is going home with four wins, including the top prize: program of the year.

This makes “Abbott” not only the TCA’s biggest winner this year, but the only series to receive more than one award. Winners for the 38th annual Television Critics Association (TCA) Awards were announced Saturday and ABC’s Abbott Elementary outclassed the competition with a leading four wins, including Individual Achievement in Comedy for star/creator Quinta Brunson, Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding New Series and the coveted Program of the Year.

With its list of new releases for November 2021, Netflix will attempt to bravely step into a post-Squid Game world. Helping it in that mission is a diverse array of original series and films.

On the TV side of things, it’s a good month to be animated with both Big Mouth and F is for Family premiering their fifth seasons (on Nov. 5 and Nov. 25 respectively). It’s the live-action version of an animated classic, however, that might be Netflix’s crown jewel this month. Cowboy Bebop premieres on Nov. 19 and based on the first trailer, it will maintain the spirit of the beloved anime. And speaking of big hits, Tiger King 2 is set to arrive on Nov. 17.

IMDb TV released the official trailer for courtroom series “Judy Justice.” The new series premieres Nov. 1 and marks the judge’s return to the televised bench.

The reality court program, presided over by Judge Judy Sheindlin, adjudicates real-life cases filed from all over the country. Joining Judge Sheindlin in the courtroom are bailiff Kevin Rasco, a retired Los Angeles probation officer and entrepreneur; stenographer Whitney Kumar, a board-certified California court reporter; and Sarah Rose, a law clerk and Judge Sheindlin’s granddaughter.

“Judy Justice” is directed by Randy Douthit who also executive produced along with Scott Koondel, with co-executive producer Amy Freisleben. Watch the trailer below.
