This film works for young children. Adults will be bored but its not made for you. In this film a young man discovers that Santa's village may not be in the North Pole.
The acting is fine the special effects are not great but the story works and at the end of the day that is what counts. Family safe. You will smile at the end if you give it a fare chance!

I didn't get a chance to watch the whole movie but from what I saw was good. What I wanted to say is where I live, there is a lake in our town called Allouette Lake that everyone knows about and has been too. When i was on my way down to the boat launch at the beginning of the summer this year, we were stopped due to a movie being filmed. When we asked the traffic control officer what was going on they told us they are shooting a Christmas movie and there is a reindeer up in the bushes. So, at the point in the movie when they are in the car driving down the road and eventually stop because the kid see's something in the bush, that is the Allouette Lake boat launch. About a 2 minute walk from where they stop on either side are just a bunch of people from my town waiting to either launch their boat or pick one up!
Christmas Town is a movie about a Christmas town. The town is all about Christmas. There are people who love Christmas in this town. But what the casual viewer doesn't realize is that the entire town looks a giant parking lot outside of a walmart with buildings that were built with garbage. The people who live in Christmas town must have all kinds of diseases and infections because of the structure of the entire town being made of garbage. All in all, the woman in Christmas town discovered the meaning of Christmas, found love with a strange guy, and repaired her relationship with her father after defeating him in hand-to-hand combat. I missed some of the movie because I was busy throwing up. Ho ho ho!
BEWARE OF FALSE REVIEWS & REVIEWERS. SOME REVIEWERS HAVE ONLY ONE REVIEW TO THEIR NAME. NOW WHEN ITS A POSITIVE REVIEW THAT TELLS ME THEY WERE INVOLVED WITH THE MOVIE. IF ITS A NEGATIVE REVIEW THEN THEY MIGHT HAVE A GRUDGE AGAINST THE FILM . NOW I HAVE REVIEWED OVER 200 HOLIDAY FILMS. I HAVE NO AGENDA.
In this film: A woman (Nicole de Boer) Disillusioned Liza McCann and her son travel to Hollyville to visit her estranged father. The town's profuse decorations and intense Yuletide spirit exasperate Liza, who has hated the holidays ever since she was a little girl. But a series of magic and inexplicable events force Liza to rethink everything she thought was true.
This is a film you will love or hate. If you like Christmas movies then you will love this. If you are a "Scrooge" . "Grinch" or a "Mr. Potter" don't bother to watch.
I like this film even though it has LOW BUDGET and the sets are cheap, If you look close you will see the same extras in one scene. There is a woman in a purple top carrying purse seen several times.
What works wonders in this film is that it does capture (To Me) that great feeling you have when its Christmas Time.
For me I love "The Christmas Season and Movies" as much as most men love Football Season. So a film like "Christmas Town" is perfect for me,
Parents with small children should watch this with them. It will Create a great memory!

Do to a limited budget the special effects in this film are "Terrible" which spoils the overall film however the story does deliver.
What this is about is that a woman (Nicole de Boer) discovers the spirit of Christmas while visiting her estranged father in a town that is decked out for the holidays.
While in town her son discovers the town secret and try's to convince his mom that "All is Not What It Seems".
Now the last shot in this film is laughable. It looks like they spent $5 on a fake Santa Sleigh but the film is still one of those you will enjoy watching with your small children.
Now many people hate this film but I think they just "Hate Christmas Movies".
