This film was better than I expected. Is it a masterpiece, definitely not, is it the worst thing I've ever seen definitely not.
It's very 90s esq cheesy action film based around a group of assasins trying to kill someone on a plane while a drunk former secret service operative tries to save her. Do not watch this film expecting to see an Oscar worthy great.
However, Josh Hartnett is really good and carries the film well. It's the first thing I've seen Charithra Chandran in and thought she was really good to. The action is over the top and stupid but at the same time entertaining.
The worst thing about the movie is the ending where the film is left unfinished and set up for a sequel, which is a huge pet hate of mine.

Flight or Fight is ridiculous. Properly stupid film. Well over the top in every way.
Acting is so bad but funny and this is a darn decent watch.
The story is nothing not seen before.
Josh Hartnett is another in a long line of movie super spies with ridiculous skills in fighting etc.
But I'll put all that to the side because to be fair this film has some absolutely hilarious fight scenes and plenty of blood and creative kills.
It's colorful to an almost cartoonesque degree, bright and bold and at least you can see what's happening! So that's a huge bonus.
The humour mostly hits.
It takes about 5 minutes to work out who the 'baddie' is but this ain't Agatha Christie so probably best to forget that.
Just watch for the absolutely mental fight scenes. Because that's all this is.

This is a very silly but fun film. It reminded me of snakes on a plane - completely ridiculous and implausible but still entertaining enough to not turn off. The script is pretty woeful at times, made up for by extreme amounts of violence. Josh Hartnett saves this movie from being a 3/10.
The notion that the assassins would all work together was laughable, plus the usual "bad guys sneak weapons onto plane" cliche.
The ending sucked. Extremely abrupt.
In conclusion, I didn't hate this film, it's worth a watch if you're into that sort of thing, but it's very far from a classic. Bullet train is a much MUCH better version of this film.

Wow what to say about fight or flight? Well for starters it's absolutely bonkers! The action certainly never lets up a la crank. Unfortunately Josh hartnett is no Jason Statham but does a adequate job as the rogue FBI agent sent on one last job to redeem himself from the worldiness. Katie sackhoff play's his straight laced permanently scowling boss. The action mostly takes place aboard a aircraft en route to San Francisco full of assassins baying for hartnetts blood and one Very demure air hostess who isn't all she appears to be. The action set pieces are excellently choreographed especially the absolutely bonkers chainsaw sequence at the end I kid you not! But it's all in good fun and played out purely tongue in cheek! Leave your brain at the door, Go and enjoy!!

Finally someone who made a smart decision with casting Josh in an action/comedy movie (again). Not sure if people in charge where sleeping or simply missed 'lucky number sleven' BUT this is Hartnett Deluxe!
Extremely funny, violent and charming!
As I didn't had this movie on the radar at all, I was even more excited while watching. Don't overthink the storyline, just let it happen!
The movie is currently available via amazon prime (Germany only), so we had to create an account in order to watch it. Not sure why the movie release differs from the US/ UK. On a side note, pretty sure the movie would have been successful as a theatrical release, considered by the trash that ends up on the big screen. Anyway enjoy, or not.
Excited for more!

Trash, but kinda fun. At least if you manage your expectations.
It's definitely not realistic, especially passengers' behavior (even considering one of the "plot twists"). Some plot points are underdeveloped, too. In fact, the whole plot is kind of meh. But I do not think this was filmed to delivery a super enticing story either way. I think the goal was to have a somewhat unhinged fighting movie.
Unfortunately, it's not that good at fights either. It definitely has its moments with sudden brutality, but the constant excessive camera shake was very distracting for me. It also does not go as unhinged as it could be, as if it's scared of something, and it could have used a bit more dark humor (and humor in general) instead of these "serious" moments.
I will completely forget it tomorrow, but as braindead movie to waste an evening - it's fine.

Josh Hartnett! It's so great to see him in such a cool movie. He's one of the best actors and really deserves more roles like this! Fight or Flight delivers on every level. It shares a lot with the fantastic Bullet Train, but this one feels like a grittier, edgier version.
The martial arts scenes are solid and believable, the dark humor lands well, and the main character is all about doing things in the most perfect way possible. It's definitely over-the-top, but in the best possible way.
What I really love is the independent look of the film. It's not polished and shiny like a typical big Hollywood production - it feels much more real.
To keep it short: Fight or Flight has that great late '90s/early 2000s movie vibe, with Josh Hartnett delivering a full-on, in-your-face performance. This guy needs more roles like this! Just watch it and you'll see what I mean.
I really believe this movie proves that you don't need a multimillion-dollar budget every time. Keep the story grounded, pick the right actor, and you can make something amazing like this!
Cheers!

A film that doesn't take itself seriously and hits the perfect tone in doing so? With some brilliant and somewhat outrageous fight scenes? Mixed with espionage and well versed twists and turns? Yes please.
Lucas Reyes, a former FBI operative exiled and hunted by his former employers, is given a chance of redemption - hunt down and bring in a notorious hacker who's one of the most wanted people on the planet. Receiving intel that this ghost will be on a flight to America, he's got one job - find them, and bring them back alive. Others (mostly assassin's) however, have received the same intel - with a bounty placed on this ghosts head. Bummer.
First off, you can tell that the producers of this film had simply the best time making it, think Saw meets Snakes On A Plane. Josh Hartnett, who plays the protagonist and is a seriously fantastic actor (Oppenheimer being my personal favourite that he stars in), is simply superb. Adrenaline fuelled chaos with a significant amount of blood and gore taboot.
Sit back and enjoy the humour, alongside a stroyline that transpires to have more layers than you may initially think, touching on some interesting themes - and don't tell me that the pilot doesn't look like Rishi Sunak - if you told me Sanjeev Kholi (the actual actor who plays the pilot), was Rishi's brother, I'd believe you. Hands down.

Listen you know that feeling when you watch something on TV or in front of you like a play and you are completely aware that people are acting in front of you and that feeling takes you out of the experience, knowing that this all is make believe but still takes you out. That's what I felt about Fight or Flight. The opening, the excessive bad assery, the lady boss over the top scenes with her drinking from the serum bottle. Josh Harnett trying his best to be a badass. I do not like the movie at all and I think people don't like it either. The script is terrible and does not hold and sheer overacting of it is just terrible. I didn't even know Sky had a streaming service. Avoid!!!!

The movie itself is kind of like bullet train except it's bullet plane, but I do like Josh Hartnett, and the actors aren't that bad. On the other hand, you have to put subtitles on because I have no idea what half of them are saying sometimes. They are speaking 100 miles an hour, and mumbling. That's one thing that always got me a little upset when watching movies or shows.. sometimes you wanna just know what they're saying, and you have to rewind over and over. All in all the movie itself is good, but I don't know why they decided to make everybody speak at 2X. I would have to give this a six out of 10 because of that.

I just finished watching.
I found the opening and set-up to be really good. I like Josh Hartnett as the lead, and Katee Sackhoff is good too. The movie has an incredulous, unrealistic plot; but it's not distracting to the point of unwatchable: the movie has a similar feel as Shoot 'Em Up, Smokin' Aces, and Snakes on a Plane. Lastly - I think the comedy works most of the time. There were several moments where I chuckled and smiled
That said - the movie loses a lot of steam after the 65-70% mark. I'm not giving spoilers, but I'll just say the casting for the Ghost passenger (the one whom Hartnett has to protect) is a huge downside in this film. The girl whom they cast in his role is not a good actress, and she does not seem credible in some of the action scenes. I also think the film gets way too ridiculous near the end; even Hartnett's acting drops several notches during these parts . Lastly - the film doesn't do a good job in showcasing a bonding between Hartnett and the Ghost character
Again - the film is really good for the first 65-70%, and I would've given an 8.0 if the movie had kept it up. But the drop-off in quality at the end is too much
6.5/10.

1st time iv ever left a review on here. Don't expect anything special on my behalf but this this film is, well where do I start.... only thing i can say is. Great fun, several moments I laughed out loads (toad venom) being 1, if u know, u know. I really hope they do sequel. That's my main reason for leaving this review, the more eyes they have on it the more chance we get a sequel. Definitely will watch again.. Loved it. My favourite film of 2025 so far. It definitely takes some cues from john wick and that's not a bad thing. I just hope if they do a sequel it brings as much fun as this one without letting this one down. Enjoy.

There seemed to be a recent trend with action movies playing on trains or ships, now we have another one on an airplane.
The story is rather thin and uses a vast array of plot devices that are more fantasy than even remotely believable, involving a super hacker which, of course, can do miracles with his (apparently superhuman) skills. Likewise Josh Hartnett, just that his skill is close combat, especially with multiple severe wounds. Or how about some agency-like entity that can create, print and deliver a new passport in 37 minutes in some random Asian country? If you don't buy into any of this, stop here and better search for another movie to watch.
You start to wonder how much screaming and combat noise passengers on an airplane would endure till they'd check on what's going on, but fans (do they exist?!?) of the movie will probably tell you that's petty.
There is not much suspense to talk of, no notable turns, but plenty of predictability and plot holes. Near the end it seems like the creators of this boring mess lost any interest, too, and didn't even try to explain how somebody would have got a friggin' CHAINSAW on board (no worries, this isn't a spoiler: You'll see that right at the opening of this waste of time). Oh, and, sure, they couldn't be bothered to come up with at least a sorry excuse for an ending, and just move out anything to a sequel. Which, if made due to sufficient demand, would make me lose the rest of my faith in humanity.
On the plus side, Josh is somewhat sympathetic, and you can't help but feel sorry for him participating in the reeking pile.
Not sure how somebody could label this a "comedy" - there is not a single joke that would qualify as at least decent. Maybe somebody confused throwing cliche characters (some in traditional outfits, for the slower parts of the audience) at us as sufficiently "funny".
Just stay away as far as you can.

Josh Hartnett leads this action/comedy in a role made for him. I think he's great in more serious roles but comedy is a strong point and this movie is a highlight for him
I'm not really an action fan, nor a comedy fan.... I can think of less than a handful of movies that have amused me. This is very light comedy but done brilliantly.
Great action sequences, great special effects. Acting by pretty much the whole cast is excellent. Shot wonderfully and soundtrack to match.
Is this going to test your brain and get you working out who is who and does what....no! BUT this is a fun movie which needs little thought.

Josh was so great as a leading men for an action and comedy. It's nothing new,he did great in the mid trap. The action scenes was so great, the comedy was there a little and I liked the chemistry between the actor Josh and actress charithra. It was cool to see her in this type of a role,I first discovered her last year in the movie "How to date billy Walsh". She seems like a good actress,I gotta check her out more.
Watching them beat that ass and kill everyone had me too hooked and honestly it was fun seeing Josh in a role like this he's back in the industry with more to come. Never been a big fan but he's done well since the 90's.

I love action movies. It doesn't bother me if the violence in movies is over the top. But there's a new genre in action movies that has happened in the last few years. Where all realism of a actual plot or story is taken out in exchange for stunts and choreography.
Action movies really had a low point during the 2000's with the use of computer generated imagery completely taking over. I am grateful that we have gone back to the way of actual stunts coming back to the screen. Some may disagree with me but I think the new wave of action started with John Wick. A franchise of over the top violent action movies that are extremely impressive on screen. John Wick in this new wave to me the Holy Grail.
Problem since then is we've had a run of movies that try to match that. With varying results in success. Nobody , Violent Night and Bullet Train to name a few. This movie follows in the same trend. Over the top two dimensional characters, impressive choreography and abundance of assassins and kills. But it doesn't hold up as well as some stronger entries in this sub genre.
Plot: 3/10 . . . It's essentially BulletTrain on a plane. Every person in this world is either a trained killer or they at least are experienced martial artists.
Cast: 2/10 . . . Again because this movie is so focused on it's action that no character is essentially developed. No one particularly likeable. I would of said josh harnett plays his role well. But this over the top assassin I've basically seen him play in Lucky Number Slevin. Only this time he's more ruthless with his fighting skills. Every other character is pretty much just over the top with no actual human responses.
Action: 7/10 . . . The only saving grace. Problem is this didn't save the movie for me. Because it was so quick and often and because the story was lackluster I just got bored of watching it. Problem is for me is when watching I will compare it to stronger movies in this genre. But if you've seen John Wick you'll know what to expect here. Ultra realism in its choreography. Hand to hand combat is impressive. Everything looks real and painfully violent. It's what I've come to expect.

It's cheap. It's silly. It's terribly cheesy........however for that price It's one hell of a deal.
It's basically bullet train but cheap on a plane. You have seen this story many many times. But where most fail this actually works. Take your brain out and put it on the shelf, you will be pleased. If you think to much on it you will miss out.
This film will pass time, it will entertain, it will achieve the things you look for in a movie. Just don't compare it and it works.
John wick has no story.....but works Extraction has no story.....but works Bullet train has no story....but works Fight or Flight has nothing new......but for some reason works.

Seriously? People liked this? Are you all ok? Do you need some help or support?
Ok now, as of 2025 I have long gave up seeing a decent movie, good characters, nice acting etc.. but this? Unfortunately after John Wick we see repeatedly same brutal fights, gore, mindless violence etc. Etc. In movies. This movie decreases the bar even more below, no characters, no back story, no story telling but more violence, more blood.. oh, and it even disguises itself as "comedy-action"!!
I am really bored of these mindless "action" flicks and I felt bad for Josh Hartnett - who I used to like before. But the real shocker for me in this movie is Katee Suckhoff - who was our beloved Starbuck once. She has turned into a kind of zombie. Yes I guess the zombie apocalyopse is upon us and it began with the movie industry..

Pacy, wild and surprisingly big hearted film with Josh at the peak of his charisma. Kind of like Bullet Train on a plane but with plenty of character of its own. There's a seemingly endless roll call of crazy characters and ways for them to be dispatched and the plane setting is well used. Is Hartnett about to become the next Keanu? Maybe not but he could replace Jason Statham now he's maybe too big for this kind of wacky, schlocky nonsense. In the UK it went straight to Sky Cinema but was significantly better than most of the films I've seen in the theatre this year (Captain America I'm looking at you). Well worth a watch.
Hiding out in Bangkok, ex secret service agent Lucas Reyes (Josh Hartnett) is persuaded that all will be put right if he boards a passenger plane to protect someone called 'The Ghost' and bring them back to the US alive. Reyes reluctantly agrees, but on board it seems many countries have sent killers to get the ghost.
This is quite a fun, silly actioneer similar in many ways to the superior and underrated 'Bullet Train' with Hartnett on good form as the violent, drunken lead. It is essentially a lot of extremely violent fighting for about 60 minutes via bottle, gun, knife and chainsaw resulting in the spilling of much blood. It does though run out of stream in the last 15 minutes and then stops suddenly presumably In anticipation of a sequel - this is rather annoying.
