One of the great things about Crunchyroll is the incredible size of the streaming service's catalog. With so much anime to choose from, there's virtually something for everyone, including those searching for more mature content. As TV age ratings continue to evolve, sometimes even those with a TV-14 rating may have mature themes, visuals, language, and portray things like graphic violence, drug or alcohol use, and sexual content.
Maturity may also reflect deep or disturbing themes or messages that won't be found in anime more suitable to younger viewers. Deep dives into the systematic flaws in society and fighting inner-demons while searching for the meaning of life and staving off feelings of despair or emptiness just aren't going to make sense to a younger audience. Fortunately for the mature viewer, Crunchyroll has plenty of anime to satisfy those searching for a little more depth.

It’s easy to say that, when it comes to storytelling, the journey is far more important than the destination. However, any fan would be justified in their frustration if, after being invested in a series for years, it crashed and burned at the very last moment, souring the entire experience with an unprecedentedly disappointing finale. In the Western media, the most notorious example of an incredible series that tarnished its legacy with an awful finale is Game of Thrones.
With the rushed and dissatisfying finale of Season 8, Game of Thrones went from a beloved long-running fantasy epic many considered flawless to a controversial failure defined in the mainstream by its subpar ending. This issue is not exclusive to live-action TV, and countless incredible anime series have also been ruined by their finales - some of them so disappointing, they make GoT’s ending look like a masterpiece.

It's never been a better time to be an anime fan when it comes to the extreme ease and accessibility that's become the norm, thanks to robust streaming services like Hulu. Hulu is a top streaming service that doesn't specialize purely in anime, but for a few years now they've put extra effort into leading the charge in both adult animation and anime through their "Animayhem" initiative. Hulu has become one of the most reliable services when it comes to anime consumption, for both new and nostalgic content. Hulu has amassed an impressive library of anime film and series that includes more than 250 anime series, 435 seasons, and more than 18,400 episodes.
Additionally, Hulu carries subtitled anime that's available in its original Japanese, as well as English dubs, which help cater to all sectors of the anime fandom. Hulu's anime library continues to grow and 2024 has been a particularly fortuitous year for the streaming service.

In a world of fantasy anime shows, there is little room for controversy because many TV shows prefer developing the story aspects rather than gore and dark realities. In that regard, Goblin Slayer stands as an exception, stirring quite the commotion following its debut. Goblin Slayer, which began as a light novel series in 2016, eventually received manga and anime adaptations, both of which were highly regarded by anime fans. The series managed to thrive in the face of stiff competition by introducing an unconventional main protagonist whose sole purpose is to eradicate goblins.
In 2020, the anime was followed by a film adaptation, Goblin Slayer: Goblin's Crown, which, while not as remarkable as the first season, had its fair share of thrilling moments. That being said, the anime's second season is right around the corner, and here's everything we know about Goblin Slayer season 2, including the plot, cast, trailer, and more.
