smart crafted

A slice of recent reality . Impecable acted, proposing different perspectives, exploring, in fair manner, sensitive subjects, from the Covid pandemia to the clash between Arab comunity and French state.

The impression to see a documentary is real , like the wise - precise definition of each character, impressive remaining the fair portrait of mother.

The things were lived by many from us in pandemia period and this, like the year of story, like the inspired simplicity are basic virtues in this case. A story about duty and conviction about the right measured assumed and a film about family and the relation with autorities. In short, just smart crafted sounds like fair definition.

Excellent Short Film!

Les Sacrifiés was such a dope short film! Love how it mixed sci-fi with thriller and even mixed in a bit of documentary. Reminded me of Alive in Joburg (short that lead to District 9) and Children of Men. Both are great films, so for a short to be reminiscent of both is an impressive accomplishment! The acting in this short is top notch and so is the directing. The characters are not only relatable, but they are also likable. Too often these days, movies make the villains unbelievably evil and as a viewer, it's such a turn off. But with Les Sacrifiés, you can empathize with all of the characters. Which makes it hard to pick a side. And that is what great art does. It challenges your biases and forces you to think. And the ending left me speechless! Highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of great storytelling. Would love to see this turned into a feature film and can't wait for what's next from this incredible director and his team!
