Sasha Bhasin has had quite a year already.

The rising actress joined the cast of Netflix’s To All The Boys spinoff dramedy Xo, Kitty earlier this year, playing Praveena. The character was a new love interest for the titular character, played by Anna Cathcart.

“Once I got [to set on Xo, Kitty], I felt comfortable, and I feel like that’s how Praveena was too,” Bhasin tells The Hollywood Reporter of her experience on the YA show, which recently earned a season three renewal. “She’s technically new, but she was comfortable in the space that she was in.”

Bhasin has also joined Max’s medical drama, The Pitt, as Nandi, an influencer and patient. “I’m really just basking in the moment and just being right here and right now,” she says.

Anyone else feeling the tension in the room? The red Netflix icon on TV usually evokes joy and excitement, but at this point, it is the opposite. Netflix’s actions are straight-up unhinged and not in a great way. Over the years, the dominating streaming platform has delivered some of the best original movies and series and bestowed subscribers with a myriad of masterpieces in different genres.

However, Netflix has acquired a bad reputation since the platform has started to cancel beloved series like it’s nothing. Anne with an E, Shadow and Bone, Mindhunter — the painful list goes on and on and on. Sure, sometimes a show simply doesn’t do well, and the interest of the viewership is lost, but how does one justify canceling a series that was enjoyed by many and was one of the most anticipated shows of 2025? Leave it to Netflix to come up with reasons.

Today, Prime Video announced that the third and final season of the global hit series The Summer I Turned Pretty will premiere this July.

Season Three of the Amazon Original series will have 11 episodes and premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.

Season Three of The Summer I Turned Pretty is led by showrunners Jenny Han and Sarah Kucserka. Han, Kucserka, and Karen Rosenfelt serve as executive producers, along with Paul Lee, Hope Hartman, and Mads Hansen for wiip. The series is a co-production of Amazon Studios and wiip.

Based on the best-selling book trilogy from Jenny Han, the Prime Video drama has become a cultural sensation and captured the hearts of fans around the globe. Season One debuted in summer 2022 and become the #1 show on the platform premiere weekend.

Season Two debuted in summer 2023 and more than doubled Season One’s viewership within three days of launch.

The Summer I Turned Pretty will escape to Cousins Beach one last time as the series sets an awaited release date for its third and final season. The Prime Video series based on Jenny Han’s romance trilogy will return in July 2025, with the author making her directorial debut.

“The Summer I Turned Pretty” will officially be coming to an end with its third season. That installment, which will be composed of 11 episodes, is set to premiere in July of this year. It will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.

It’s not entirely surprising that this particular show is ending with Season 3. The young adult series is based on the novel trilogy series of the same name by author Jenny Han. Season 3 will continue the love triangle between Belly (Lola Tung) and brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). After growing up seeing them every summer, Belly notices their interest in her changes after she turns 16. Thus begins a summer that changes everything.

The young adult romantic-drama has been a hit for Prime Video since Season 1. With its 2022 premiere, it became the No. 1 show on Prime Video during its first weekend.

“The Summer I Turned Pretty” is now to set to end with its upcoming third season at Amazon Prime Video.

Amazon made the final season announcement on Friday. It was previously announced that the show would be back for Season 3 but it was not known that it would be the last season until now. Per Amazon, the final season will debut in July but no exact premiere date has been set at the time of this publishing. It will consist of 11 episodes.

The move is not altogether unexpected, as the show is based on the Jenny Han book trilogy of the same name, with each season corresponding to one book in the trilogy. The show originally debuted in 2022, with Season 2 dropping in 2023.

Back in mid-January, the long-awaited second season of Xo, Kitty was released on Netflix, and fans everywhere were excited to see what was next for Kitty Song Covey. As expected, Kitty found herself in a whirlwind of new drama as she navigated the second semester of her junior year at Kiss. The teen matchmaker also had her fair share of relationship troubles as well.

The second season ended in a way where a third installment seemed inevitable, with there being some unresolved plotlines. Fans were also left wondering if an Xo, Kitty season 3 would happen after watching all eight episodes. Well, we finally have our answer on the popular teen show's fate.

On Valentine's Day 2025, Netflix announced its decision on whether to renew or cancel the series. But this isn't the only juicy information we learned about the show so far. We've also learned some other details that we absolutely must share.

Last week, Netflix confirmed that Xo, Kitty would be coming back for a third season. Its future was never in doubt after a sterling performance in the Netflix top 10s, and it looks like the wait for season 3 may not be as long as the wait for season 2, with production already scheduled to get underway in South Korea in Q2 2025. Cobra Kai season 6 part 3, the final episodes of the hit Netflix original series, hit Netflix on Thursday, Feb. 13. Almost seven years after the series premiered on YouTube Red (remember that?), Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and his redemption story have come to an end. And, what an ending it was.

This week alone the NBC staple has seen over 61 million views across social media and 6.1 million social engagements, TheWrap has exclusively learned. It marks one of the series’ biggest weeks on social media, according to insiders familiar with the matter.

In a testament to the speed of the “Tonight Show” booking team, the biggest video of the week belonged to the Philadelphia Eagles. After the NFL team’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs during the Super Bowl, quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley joined “The Tonight Show” on Tuesday night. Behind-the-scenes, Hurts, Barkley and the rest of the Eagles’ offensive line filmed a video using a viral snippet of audio from the movie “Mufasa.” That video alone has seen 30.1 million views and 3.4 million engagements across social media.

Stella is an interesting new addition to the To All The Boys I've Loved Before spin-off series on Netflix. In Season 2, she is introduced as Kitty Song Covey's new roommate and Min Ho's eventual love interest at the Korean Independent School of Seoul (Kiss). 

As the season progresses, it is clear that Stella is hiding something in Xo Kitty after Season 2, Episode 1 hinted at her sinister side. The series ultimately reveals her true plan which has ties to her tragic past and connection to Min Ho's father, Mr. Moon.

After spending three weeks at No. 1 on Nielsen’s overall streaming viewership chart, Netflix’s Squid Game has relinquished its crown.

Netflix’s Jamie Foxx-Cameron Diaz thriller Back In Action landed the top spot this week with 1.5 billion minutes viewed, Nielsen said in its weekly update on Thursday. Squid Game fell to No. 4 on the overall streaming chart with 1.25 billion minutes viewed during the Jan. 13-Jan. 19 frame, the most recent week in the data firm’s tally.

Meanwhile, Billy Bob Thornton-starrer Landman kept up its run with 1.05 billion minutes of viewing and represents the only Paramount+ show outside of library title Dexter to chart in the top 5 for this week on either the TV or movies charts.

Speaking of Western-influenced shows, Peter Berg’s American Primeval, which was the top premiere on the streaming chart last week, rose to No. 2 on the overall chart with 1.41 billion minutes viewed.

Xo Kitty star Anna Cathcart may look a little different to fans in Season 2, and it is seemingly because she had some teeth adjustments done between episodes. 

Cathcart stars as Katherine (aka Kitty) in the hit streaming romance, following her as its titular high schooler on her quest to find teenage love. 

The show's second season debuted on January 16, making its triumphant return after nearly two years off the air. This new batch of episodes saw its cast of teenage characters aged up slightly as they continued through the throes of high school life.

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” will welcome Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and Super Bowl Mvp Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley to Studio 6B on the Tuesday, February 11 episode of the NBC late-night show, marking their first late-night television appearance since their win over the Kansas City Chiefs during Super Bowl Lix.

Their appearance comes as the Eagles beat the Chiefs 40-22 during Sunday’s big game which saw Hurts throwing over 220 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Barkley made history by setting a new record for the most rushing yards in the regular season and playoffs.

Joining Hurts and Barkley on Tuesday will be Eagles teammates Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, Mekhi Becton and Lane Johnson will also make a cameo.

The episode will also feature basketball star Jaylen Brown, “Xo Kitty” star Anna Cathcart and comedian Leslie Lia.

Jimmy Fallon is set to entertain Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and Super Bowl Mvp Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley on the NBC show.

The move comes the day after the Eagles blew out the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl 40-22.

In The Recruit, Netflix’s high-octane CIA drama, Noah Centineo plays a lawyer turned unlikely protagonist. But being an action star was never something the 28-year-old sought out. For most of his still slightly nascent career, he’s been in a different box.

“The rom-com, romantic interest archetype was pretty much the only thing that I got booked doing from age 15 until To All the Boys and Perfect Date and Sierra Burgess [Is a Loser],” Centineo tells The Hollywood Reporter.

The actor spent the bulk of his 20s playing different iterations of the internet’s boyfriend in those Netflix films before pivoting for The Recruit — a move he says wasn’t actually intentional. Set to receive Scad TVfest’s distinguished performance award on Feb. 6, Centineo is eager to expand his horizons as an actor and producer under his production banner, Arkhum Productions.

Netflix is expanding its season download feature to iPhone and iPad users who are looking to binge their favorite shows from the streamer while on the go.

“Whether you’re gearing up for a long flight and ready to dive into the new season of ‘The Night Agent,’ a cross-country train ride with ‘Xo Kitty’ Season 2 keeping you company, or just planning some downtime offline, this feature has you covered with just the click of a button,” the company said in a blog post Wednesday.

Korea also happens to be the setting and production location for Xo, Kitty, Netflix’s comedy series spinoff from the streamer’s popular To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before movies, in which Centineo played the male lead Peter.
