Sasha Bhasin has had quite a year already.
The rising actress joined the cast of Netflix’s To All The Boys spinoff dramedy Xo, Kitty earlier this year, playing Praveena. The character was a new love interest for the titular character, played by Anna Cathcart.
“Once I got [to set on Xo, Kitty], I felt comfortable, and I feel like that’s how Praveena was too,” Bhasin tells The Hollywood Reporter of her experience on the YA show, which recently earned a season three renewal. “She’s technically new, but she was comfortable in the space that she was in.”
Bhasin has also joined Max’s medical drama, The Pitt, as Nandi, an influencer and patient. “I’m really just basking in the moment and just being right here and right now,” she says.
Below, Bhasin speaks with THR about her latest roles, the “anxiety of being an actor” and she’s hoping to tackle next.

In recognition of Noah Centineo’s status as one of Netflix’s top young stars, he served as a SAG Awards Ambassador for the streamer’s January 23 awards show telecast. Ten days later, Netflix canceled Centineo’s series, The Recruit, after two seasons.
The cancellation was surprising in itself and in its swiftness; it came less than five weeks after Season 2 dropped on January 30. While Netflix rewards breakout newcomers with quick renewals – most recently comedy Running Point earlier this week was picked up for Season 2 just seven days after its debut – the streamer usually takes awhile for its cancellation decisions, analyzing the long tail of a show’s performance before making the call.
That leaves bubble series in limbo for awhile – for instance, we are yet to learn the fates of freshman comedy No Good Deed, which debuted December 12; and Heartstopper, whose third season dropped October 3. The cancellation after two seasons of another Netflix drama,...

Anyone else feeling the tension in the room? The red Netflix icon on TV usually evokes joy and excitement, but at this point, it is the opposite. Netflix’s actions are straight-up unhinged and not in a great way. Over the years, the dominating streaming platform has delivered some of the best original movies and series and bestowed subscribers with a myriad of masterpieces in different genres.
However, Netflix has acquired a bad reputation since the platform has started to cancel beloved series like it’s nothing. Anne with an E, Shadow and Bone, Mindhunter — the painful list goes on and on and on. Sure, sometimes a show simply doesn’t do well, and the interest of the viewership is lost, but how does one justify canceling a series that was enjoyed by many and was one of the most anticipated shows of 2025? Leave it to Netflix to come up with reasons.

The Summer I Turned Pretty will escape to Cousins Beach one last time as the series sets an awaited release date for its third and final season. The Prime Video series based on Jenny Han’s romance trilogy will return in July 2025, with the author making her directorial debut.

“The Summer I Turned Pretty” will officially be coming to an end with its third season. That installment, which will be composed of 11 episodes, is set to premiere in July of this year. It will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.
It’s not entirely surprising that this particular show is ending with Season 3. The young adult series is based on the novel trilogy series of the same name by author Jenny Han. Season 3 will continue the love triangle between Belly (Lola Tung) and brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). After growing up seeing them every summer, Belly notices their interest in her changes after she turns 16. Thus begins a summer that changes everything.
The young adult romantic-drama has been a hit for Prime Video since Season 1. With its 2022 premiere, it became the No. 1 show on Prime Video during its first weekend.

Per Amazon, the final season will debut in July but no exact premiere date has been set at the time of this publishing. It will consist of 11 episodes.
The move is not altogether unexpected, as the show is based on the Jenny Han book trilogy of the same name, with each season corresponding to one book in the trilogy. The show originally debuted in 2022, with Season 2 dropping in 2023.
Per the official description, the show is a “a multigenerational drama that hinges on a love triangle between one girl and two brothers, the ever-evolving relationship between mothers and their children,...

One of Netflix’s biggest action movie hits is becoming a TV series with a top star attached. It’s been a trend to turn movies into TV shows for quite a long time. Streaming services offer more opportunities to expand the storylines of a film from classics to more modern movies.
There’s also been turning some films into franchises, from the MCU to Prime Video’s The Rings of Power. Now, Netflix is pulling this move on one of their bigger action movie franchises.
Deadline has confirmed that plans are underway for a TV series based on the hit action film Extraction. It comes from that movie’s writer/directors Joe and Anthony Russo with showrunner Glen Mazzara.
The as-yet-untitled series will star Omar Sy, star of the hit French crime caper Lupin, as a mercenary who “navigates a dangerous mission to rescue hostages in Libya. Trapped between warring factions and ruthless killers,...

Cobra Kai season 6 part 3, the final episodes of the hit Netflix original series, hit Netflix on Thursday, Feb. 13. This week alone the NBC staple has seen over 61 million views across social media and 6.1 million social engagements, TheWrap has exclusively learned. It marks one of the series’ biggest weeks on social media, according to insiders familiar with the matter.
In a testament to the speed of the “Tonight Show” booking team, the biggest video of the week belonged to the Philadelphia Eagles. After spending three weeks at No. 1 on Nielsen’s overall streaming viewership chart, Netflix’s Squid Game has relinquished its crown.
Netflix’s Jamie Foxx-Cameron Diaz thriller Back In Action landed the top spot this week with 1.5 billion minutes viewed, Nielsen said in its weekly update on Thursday. Squid Game fell to No. 4 on the overall streaming chart with 1.25 billion minutes viewed during the Jan. 13-Jan. 19 frame, the most recent week in the data firm’s tally.
Meanwhile, Billy Bob Thornton-starrer Landman kept up its run with 1.05 billion minutes of viewing and represents the only Paramount+ show outside of library title Dexter to chart in the top 5 for this week on either the TV or movies charts.
Speaking of Western-influenced shows, Peter Berg’s American Primeval, which was the top premiere on the streaming chart last week, rose to No. 2 on the overall chart with 1.41 billion minutes viewed.

Xo Kitty star Anna Cathcart may look a little different to fans in Season 2, and it is seemingly because she had some teeth adjustments done between episodes.
Cathcart stars as Katherine (aka Kitty) in the hit streaming romance, following her as its titular high schooler on her quest to find teenage love.
The show's second season debuted on January 16, making its triumphant return after nearly two years off the air. This new batch of episodes saw its cast of teenage characters aged up slightly as they continued through the throes of high school life.

The Tonight Show is turning green on Tuesday.
Jimmy Fallon is set to entertain Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and Super Bowl Mvp Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley on the NBC show.
The move comes the day after the Eagles blew out the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl 40-22.
Hurts threw for over 220 yards and two touchdowns in the game, while Barkley, who admittedly had a quiet game thanks to the Chiefs defense, made history by beating Terrell Davis’ record for the most rushing yards in the regular season and playoffs.
The pair will be joined by teammates Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, Mekhi Becton and Lane Johnson.
It’s not unusual for Super Bowl winners to head to late-night, while Mecole Hardman appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last year and Patrick Mahomes went on the show the previous year.

In The Recruit, Netflix’s high-octane CIA drama, Noah Centineo plays a lawyer turned unlikely protagonist. But being an action star was never something the 28-year-old sought out. For most of his still slightly nascent career, he’s been in a different box.
“The rom-com, romantic interest archetype was pretty much the only thing that I got booked doing from age 15 until To All the Boys and Perfect Date and Sierra Burgess [Is a Loser],” Centineo tells The Hollywood Reporter.
The actor spent the bulk of his 20s playing different iterations of the internet’s boyfriend in those Netflix films before pivoting for The Recruit — a move he says wasn’t actually intentional. Set to receive Scad TVfest’s distinguished performance award on Feb. 6, Centineo is eager to expand his horizons as an actor and producer under his production banner, Arkhum Productions.

“It reminds me why I do the job that I do,” Xo, Kitty star Gia Kim says of the personal messages she’s received from fans telling her that her character Yuri has changed their lives.
The 32-year-old actress’ breakout role as Yuri in the To All the Boys spinoff quickly became a favorite of fans online after the first season dropped in 2023. Early into season one, it was revealed that the character, a student at the fictional Seoul-based international school Kiss, was queer and struggling to find acceptance from her high-status family.
Yuri’s storyline has resonated with viewers. “The fans get really, really vulnerable with me,” Kim tells The Hollywood Reporter. “This is literally not just something abstract. It’s so real. It’s touching people’s hearts in ways that I can’t even imagine.”

Even though Younger was a fan-favorite hit during its inital seven-season run, the series has kicked off 2025 by having a major resurgence. On Jan. 7, the TV Land original romantic comedy series from creator Darren Star was added to Netflix and popped. As of Feb. 6, the show remains in the top 10 alongside recent new seasons of hit Netflix originals The Night Agent and The Recruit.
It's the most recent library series to come to Netflix and experience the "Netflix effect," which simply means that new viewers are discovering the series and old viewers are rediscovering the series. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in March 2025, Younger originally aired between 2015 and 2021 and effectively filled a gap for actually good guilty pleasure programming we'd been missing.
While your Netflix (re)binge-watch of Younger might be nearing its end, you're likely wondering what show to add to your watch list to keep the good times rolling.

In season one of Netflix’s coming-of-age series Xo, Kitty, Minyeong Choi won the internet’s heart by playing Dae, a hardworking and sweet first boyfriend to the show’s titular main character.
“Kitty was always his first priority,” Choi tells The Hollywood Reporter about his character’s season one motivation. “I feel like for this season, he’s discovering himself a little bit more and trying to figure out what he actually likes and what he wants.”
After a breakup between Dae and Kitty (Anna Cathcart) in the show’s season one finale, Dae’s path has ventured out from the love interest story to one of his own, focusing on family, friendships and, most notably, music. His character’s love of singing is thrust into the spotlight this season — it even allowed Choi to deliver a fun performance of BTS member Jungkook’s summer hit, “Seven.”

After an incredible month of Netflix new releases in January 2025, it's finally time to say goodbye to January and welcome a brand new month. I think we can all agree that it's time! Luckily, the streamer recognizes our collective need to get out of the current month and dive into some of the best new shows they have to offer in February.
In January, Netflix had some of the biggest releases of all the streaming platforms, with the amazing run from Missing You all the way to the back-to-back action-packed releases of The Night Agent and The Recruit’s second seasons. American Primeval and Xo, Kitty season 2 were also big hits setting the stage for an excellent year on Netflix.
Keeping up the momentum, February 2025 boasts even more great shows, including Love is Blind season 8, Surviving Black Hawk Down, and American Murder: Gabby Petito for the unscripted watchers. As for the scripted series,...

The service, which houses recent hits such as The Night Agent, Squid Game 2, and One Piece, will soon allow those on Ios devices to download a season's worth of episodes at the click of a button. Although it seems like an obvious feature to include since the app's inception, Netflix is just now adding it to its dominant streaming platform.
Those with iPads and iPhones will soon have a "Download Season" button available on the Netflix application. An option that Android users have long had, Apple is finally catching up with the much-needed feature. Season 2 of “The Night Agent” was the most-watched Netflix series of the week of Jan. 20-26, debuting with 13.9 million views in its first four days of availability.
The season’s success is unsurprising given how Season 1 performed when it debuted in 2023 — landing at No. 7 on Netflix’s list of its most popular-English language TV series of all time with 98.2 million views in its first 91 days of streaming. However, the debut of Season 2 doesn’t appear to have matched that of Season 1, which debuted with 168.7 million hours watched in four days back before Netflix ranked viewership in terms of views. Divided by the season’s runtime of 8 hours and 11 minutes, Season 1’s opening weekend amounted to 20.6 million views — ahead of Season 2’s 13.9 million.
The release of “The Night Agent” Season 2 also drove viewers back to Season 1, which placed in fourth with 4.9 million views behind “Xo, Kitty” Season 2 (9.2 million views in its...

Noah Centineo’s Netflix drama series The Recruit spent a month last year filming in Korea where a portion of the spy thriller’s second season is set. Korea also happens to be the setting and production location for Xo, Kitty, Netflix’s comedy series spinoff from the streamer’s popular To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before movies, in which Centineo played the male lead Peter. He starred opposite Lana Condor whose character Lara Jean’s younger sister — and the duo’s matchmaker — Kitty (Anna Cathcart) headlines the offshoot series.
It was serendipitous timing that led to Centineo’s guest appearance on Season 2 of Xo, Kitty.
“[All The Boys producer and Xo, Kitty exec producer] Matt Kaplan and one of my friends over at Netflix called me and said, Hey, you’re going to be shooting in South Korea the same time that we are. Would you be interested in coming back for Xo,...

Netflix’s teen romance-drama Xo, Kitty has slowly cropped up on the streaming’s top 10 with its mix of youthful energy, heartfelt relationships, and cultural exploration. Created by Jenny Han and sold as a spin-off of the very popular To All the Boys Series, Season 2 of Xo, Kitty dives even deeper into the life of Kitty Song Covey. This time, Kitty returns to the Korean Independent School of Seoul (Kiss) after her first year ended in chaos—complete with romantic betrayals, a cheating scandal, and an emotional breakup with her boyfriend, Dae. But it doesn’t end there. Season 2 introduces an even more complicated love triangle (or maybe pentagon?) as Kitty wrestles with her feelings for Yuri, deals with Min Ho’s confession, and navigates life under the shadow of her late mother’s history.
Xo, Kitty is essential about finding yourself, stumbling through adolescence, and chasing love, no matter how messy.
