Possession horror is on trend this year, and that looks to continue with Judgment of the Dead. THR reports that the upcoming horror movie will star Mohamed Karim and give an Egyptian spin on the possession formula.
Karim will star and produce Judgment of the Dead. Stuart Ford’s AGC will co-produce with Karim’s Mk Global Entertainment.
The actor will play “Dr. Sherif Hawass, a renowned Egyptologist who must save the world, and the woman he loves, after an artifact he unearths releases an ancient evil.”
Thomas M. Hewlett wrote the screenplay for Judgement of the Dead based on Karim’s original idea.
Interestingly, Judgment of the Dead was initially announced in 2021, under the title Book of Chaos, as a Dark Castle Entertainment feature. Dark Castle initially launched in 1998 by Joel Silver, Robert Zemeckis and Gilbert Adler and most recently produced Simon Barrett’s directorial debut, Seance, and last year’s Orphan: First Kill.

Photo: 'Wire Room' The Hollywood Insider wishes the legendary Bruce Willis a speedy recovery. What to Expect from Wire Room In recent times, every Bruce Willis fan knows that the actor has retired from acting since he was diagnosed with aphasia, a disease that affects a person’s ability to communicate. This shocks the whole world since he is best-remembered for his role as John McClane, a loose cannon cop in the ‘Die Hard’ films. He was also noticed for choosing films that differed from the action archetype. He starred in other critically-acclaimed and independent films such as ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘The Sixth Sense.’ Lionsgate has now released his latest action film, ‘Wire Room.’ He stars with the legendary actor Kevin Dillon, who is well-known for the hit show ‘Entourage’ and had worked in two Oliver Stone films: ‘Platoon’ and ‘The Doors.’ His first time working with Bruce...

Corrective Measures, an odd mix of action, prison, science fiction and monster movies, opens with a parking garage execution gone wrong as a band of goons led by what appears to be a werewolf are wiped out by the vigilante known as Payback just so he can have the pleasure of killing their intended victim himself before the cops arrest him. He’s sent to prison, but not just any prison, he’s going to San Tiburon which seems to be this world’s answer to the MCU’s Vault. Only it’s run by a private company and Warden Devlin is as corrupt as any of the inmates.

Hot Seat, is the new thriller from director James Cullen Bressack, working from a script by Collin Watts and Leon Langford. And, at least on the surface, it seems to have taken its cue from his other recent thriller, Fortress, one of whose plot threads involved a former hacker forced to break into a financial company’s systems.
Here, that goes from subplot to the main storyline as reformed hacker Orlando Friar’s day goes from bad to worse. After he’s called in on his day off, which also happens to be his daughter Zoey’s birthday his wife Kim serves him with divorce papers. But the worst is yet to come. Since this is a day ending in “Y” that means it’s time for another Bruce Willis movie to arrive, this time it’s A Day to Die. I may have used that line before, but he’s putting out so many films I’m running out of ways to introduce them.
A Day to Die opens in the middle of a hostage situation. A special security team that includes Connor and Mason is called in to deal with a hostage situation at a school that involves what appears to be some well-armed militia types. It all goes very badly due to the police somehow not noticing several guys with RPGs on nearby rooftops. It also didn’t help that the attackers had a landmine that not only...

Fortress: Sniper’s Eye isn’t the only new Bruce Willis film to come out recently. Corrective Measures, an odd mix of action, prison, science fiction and monster movies makes its debut as well. The reason you may not have heard of it is, that it’s another Tubi Original. Short of working for Rene Perez, that’s the most pathetic way for Willis to end his career I can think of.

On April 29, Bruce Willis’ storied filmography adds another credit with the release of “Fortress: Sniper’s Eye.”
The action-thriller starring Willis, Jesse Metcalfe and Chad Michael Murray is a sequel to 2021’s “Fortress” and is set to be released in select theaters, as well as on digital platforms and VOD. It’s just one of about 10 tough-guy titles still outstanding as Willis’ acting career comes to a close.
The actor’s family announced Wednesday that the superstar will step away from acting after being recently diagnosed with aphasia, a language disorder caused by brain damage the affects a person’s ability to communicate. Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis and their daughters Mabel and Evelyn, along with his ex-wife Demi Moore and their daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah revealed the diagnosis in a statement posted to social media. After “much consideration,” they wrote, Willis made the decision to step away from “the...

A4 presents Kagonada’s second feature After Yang in limited release, the latest in the distributor’s varied indie slate ahead of wide-release horror slasher X on 3/18 and sci-fi adventure Everything Everywhere All At Once on 3/25 — which is also opening SXSW Film Festival.
This is a weekend where The Batman casts a long shadow, but the specialty market is also hungry for new content with moviegoers demonstrably, measurably, more willing to return to theaters in person.
A24 has been a strong voice in the pandemic-scarred cinema landscape. Green Knight, Zola and C’mon, C’mon helped juice the indie box office last year as odd Icelandic horror film Lamb and porno-themed Red Rocket became culty favorites. Other releases included The Humans, The Souvenir: Part II and Saint Maude. The distributor took three Oscar noms with Apple TV+ for The Tragedy of Macbeth. "We got the element of surprise... and we got violence." Vertical has released an official trailer for a generic action thriller titled A Day to Die, yet another boring new Bruce Willis movie to ignore. Even the title is generic and forgettable. After killing a drug syndicate member while protecting a parolee, Connor Connolly has one day to pay two million dollars in reparations he doesn't have to Tyrone Pettis. He is forced to ask his old military ops crew, led by Brice Mason, to come together and somehow get two million dollars before Connor loses everyone he loves. Bruce Willis co-stars with Kevin Dillon, Frank Grillo, Leon, Gianni Capaldi, Johnny Messner, Vernon Davis, and Brooke Butler. Not a bad cast, but nah... These dime-a-dozen Bruce Willis movies are as bad as they've ever been, and I really hope no one is wasting their money on them. Just stay away.

It's a balls-the-wall action extravaganza in the first trailer for Copshop, as Hollywood hard-men Gerard Butler and Frank Grillo go toe-to-toe. Both actors have carved careers out of making shamelessly explosive action flicks, and bringing the pair together for the first time looks to have resulted in something pretty wild.
Screaming through the Nevada desert in a bullet-ridden Crown Vic, wily con artist Teddy Murretto (Frank Grillo) hatches a desperate plan to hide out from lethal hitman Bob Viddick (Gerard Butler): He sucker-punches rookie officer Valerie Young (Alexis Louder) to get himself arrested and locked up in a small-town police station. But jail can't protect Murretto for long. Viddick schemes his own way into detention, biding his time in a nearby cell until he can complete his mission. When the arrival of a competing assassin (Toby Huss) ignites all-out mayhem, mounting threats force Viddick to get creative if he...

Gianni Capaldi, Brooke Butler, Vernon Davis, Mohamed Karim, Alexander Kane, and Curtis Nichouls round out the cast. Nichouls also produced the film alongside Andrew van den Houten and DJ Dodd. Capstone Group is handling global sales.
