Update: Producers of the Off Broadway staging of Andrew Scott’s Vanya at the Lucille Lortel Theatre have extended the show’s run. Vanya will begin performances on Monday, March 10, a day earlier than previously announced – and run through May 11, a week later than previously announced.

Previous: Andrew Scott will reprise his acclaimed West End performance in Vanya, described as a radical new adaptation of Chekhov’s masterwork Uncle Vanya, for a spring 2025 Off Broadway engagement at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, producers announced today.

Co-created by Scott and Simon Stephens, the play is directed by Sam Yates.

Fans of Sherlock Holmes have been rather spoiled when it comes to live-action adaptations of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's detective stories. Now, the popular British sleuth is getting an animated spinoff series that everyone can enjoy.

Per Deadline, the aptly titled, "Baker Street Four will follow a ragtag trio of street urchins and a cat called Watson, who acts as legendary detective Sherlock Holmes' eyes and ears on the ground." The project is based on the French comic book series called Les Quatre de Baker Street from writers Jean-Blaise Djian and Olivier Legrand, with illustrations by David Etien. The show, which has entered production, is aimed at children aged between six and 10 years old.

Benedict Cumberbatch recently dropped a surprising update on his MCU return as Doctor Strange, confirming (or appearing to confirm) that he wouldn't be a part of Avengers: Doomsday, but would be back as the (former) Sorcerer Supreme for Secret Wars.

The Sherlock actor indicated that Strange's involvement in the next big MCU event was deemed unnecessary when plans pivoted from Kang to Doctor Doom after Jonathan Majors' firing.
