The original Generation 1 Transformers continuity introduced many classic concepts to the franchise, chief among them being the various Combiner teams. These included major groups such as the Constructicons, the Protectobots, the Aerialbots and the Combaticons, among others. Some of these Combiners were mostly relegated to obscure media, including the different Transformers anime that were exclusive to Japan.
Transformers: Victory featured Liokaiser as a rather unique Decepticon Combiner, namely because of the character's transforming armor. This gimmick was one of several in the anime and its toyline that showcased how the brand changed in the waning days of Generation 1. Now, a new version of Liokaiser is tentatively being developed, introducing more fans than ever to the overlooked character.

Throughout the Transformers franchise, a number of recurring characters have remained the ones in the spotlight. These mostly include familiar faces such as Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron and others, with these iconic Autobots and Decepticons rarely being switched out for others in the modern era. This wasn't always the case in the brand's early days, however, with one classic Japanese anime introducing a very different Autobot leader.
Star Saber was the main Autobot in the anime series Transformers: Victory, and while he's relatively obscure in the West, he's an inarguable fan-favorite in Japan. Representing the general shift in the franchise in the latter days of Generation 1, he was far different in design and transformation compared to former leader Optimus Prime.

As Henry Cavill’s Warhammer 40K series gears up for Prime Video, expectations are high for the actor and producer to bring something fresh and exciting to the screen. With the sheer number of factions in the Warhammer universe, the series has an opportunity to avoid the more predictable enemies like the Orks and Tyranids.

While the Orks and Tyranids are often fan favorites, the show needs to diversify the enemies it features to stand out. By showcasing races like the Drukhari, Tau, Necrons, Genestealer Cult, and others, the series can bring more visual variety and different perspectives to an audience that might not be familiar with 40K lore.

Many organizations in the MCU prefer to stay covert, allowing them to become even more powerful. Marvel Studios has introduced several new organizations in recent years, including Sword, the Red Daggers, the Illuminati and Saber. The Ten Rings, Hydra, and the Masters of the Mystic Arts have had significant roles in the development of the MCU, thanks to them being founded hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of years ago.
Many of the most powerful organizations in the Marvel Cinematic Universe prefer to work in the shadows, staying secret rather than being in the public eye. Marvel Studios broke a popular trend in superhero franchises by having Tony Stark reveal himself to be the superhero Iron Man in its first live-action project, and since then, many of the McU's heroes have become world-renowned celebrities, throwing secret identities aside. In spite of how the show ended, Game of Thrones will forever be seen as the standard-bearer for the fantasy genre, for how globally renowned and beloved the series became. Game of Thrones was epic in many ways, from the scale of its world-building and the countless characters that were explored, to the massive battles, shocking twists, and persistent sense of dread that lingered throughout.
Very few fantasy series have come close to recapturing that epic feeling that Game of Thrones had, but there are some exceptions in the world of anime. The Marvels will bring Nick Fury (Samuel L. The Marvels’ trailer reveals a first look at the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel and teases a new space organization in the MCU. While The Marvels is technically Captain Marvel 2, the movie will see Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan teaming up in what seems to be a quite unique MCU sequel. In addition to the three “Marvel” superheroes, The Marvels' trailer also sees the return of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, who had a significant role in the first Captain Marvel.
Captain Marvel established that Nick Fury had been preparing himself and Earth for an alien invasion since way before Thor arrived on-planet. Despite retconning The Avengers, Captain Marvel added a lot to Nick Fury’s MCU story, and it set up the introduction of Sword, which was teased for the first time in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Production is underway on the Team Unicorn Saturday Action Fun Hour! pilot for Adult Swim. Penned by Dan Milano (Greg The Bunny) and inspired by the Team Unicorn cartoons, the pilot is described as a modern twist on Saturday morning-style cartoon/live-action hybrid shows, but for adults. It follows the adventures of the four mythical heroines who masquerade as human girls. Danger Maiden Prods’ Clare Grant and Rileah Vanderbilt executive produce and star alongside original Team Unicorn member Milynn Sarley (How I Met Your Mother) and Alison Haislip (Attack Of The Show) as both Team Unicorn and their cartoon counterparts. Jane Lynch (Glee, Hollywood Game Night) voices the villainous Dark Puba; Alan Tudyk (Suburgatory) voices her sidekick, Chummy Cherub; Tara Strong (The Fairly OddParents) voices Billy, the boy with the ability to summon Team Unicorn; and Kevin Shinick (Mad) is the show’s announcer. Robot Chicken creators Seth Green and...

Playing around with lightsabers has always been fun! Back in the day my friends and I would go out and film our own lightsaber fight sequences that GeekTyrant's Free Reyes would edit together. Then he would painstakingly make our toy lightsabers real, one frame at a time.
Nerdist has filmed a few fun lightsaber duels over the years, and they've released another fun short called "Revenge of the Threesome." In the middle of shooting a Star Wars action figure commercial, the three women who are playing with the toys behind-the-scenes end up getting into a crazy lightsaber battle.
"In an epic follow-up to Saber II, Nerdist presents Saber III: Revenge of the Threesome! Brace yourself for a next level 80's Star Wars lightsaber duel between Clare Grant, Rileah Vanderbilt and Alison Haislip."
Their Saber II video came out last year and is called "Sexy Jedi Bubblebath." In case you missed it,...

Comic Con hasn’t been strictly superheroes in a long, long time. We have scoured the schedule for this year’s event and have pulled out the dark, the bloody, the monstrous, and the ghostly panels that look to be right up FEARnet readers’s alley.
Paranormal Passion Panel
Authors discuss the inclusion of romantic elements in their action-packed novels. Protagonists must battle the forces of evil while trying to keep the world (and often their lovers) safe from destruction. It’s May the Fourth! And you know what that means. Happy Star Wars Day! Because today’s date has homophonic similarities with one of the most famous lines in George Lucas’s epic space opera, geeks, nerds, and other denizens of the internet have made it a 24-hour period in which they pay tribute to Ewoks and Wookies, X-Wings and Death Stars, and everything in between. CollegeHumor, for instance, is encouraging the web to check out its best Star Wars-related content, like the Webby Award-winning Simon Pegg and Nick Frost interpretation of a convo between droids, the Galactic Empire’s version of Jay-z’s New York, and installments of its original web series about life from the vantage point of just another clone in the Imperial army, Troopers. The Nerdist, meanwhile, is debuting a sequel to an online video from a few years back that may be the definition of viral video fodder.
