Grimmfest, one of the UK’s premier genre film festivals, returns this October with an exciting and star-studded lineup of guests. Filmmakers and actors from around the globe are set to descend on Manchester to present their films, engage with fans, and take part in exclusive Q&a sessions, making this year’s edition the most interactive and talent-packed event yet.

Running from 3rd to 6th October at the Odeon Great Northern, Grimmfest offers a chance to see world premieres, UK debuts, and international hits before they hit wider release. Attendees will not only get to watch these films but also meet the creators and stars behind them in an intimate, fan-focused setting.

The festival takes place during the first weekend in October, the perfect time for launching spooky season, at the Odeon Great Northern in Manchester. The world premiere of Bruce Goodison’s Black Cab starring Nick Frost will open this year’s Grimmfest, a UK horror and sci-fi fantasy festival held in Manchester October 3-6, 2024.

Frost stars in the Shudder title as an erratic cab driver who has no interest in taking the bickering couple he’s just picked up to their destination. Synnøve Karlsen and Luke Norris also star in the film which Sony Pictures Television and Stolen Pictures produce.

In the wake of five new horror movies releasing at home this past Tuesday, the October horror season rolls on today with another eight new horror movies being added to the mix.

Screamfest Horror Film Festival today announced its first-wave lineup of competitive features and shorts for its 23rd edition.

Running October 10-19 at the Tcl Chinese Theater, Screamfest welcomes horror cinephiles to experience twisted tales and frightening films together on the big screen. Tickets will be on sale soon and can be purchased via the festival website.

Raven Banner has unveiled its EFM Slate with market premieres for Anthony Diblasi’s Malum, Ryan Thiessen and Greg Swinson’s Hunt Her, Kill Her and Steve Wolsh’s Kill Her Goats.

The Toronto-based company has partnered with new genre studio Welcome Villain Films on its first original production Malum, as well as its upcoming survival horror release Hunt Her, Kill Her.
