Valve has a history of cradling world-renowned games. It’s that one studio in the industry that secretly works on a promising game, only to never market it much in advance. But, when it does decide to break the silence, we’re presented with something like Deadlock – a title that hasn’t even been released, yet has started setting new benchmarks.
It’s tough to put Deadlock into a single genre of gaming. Rather, it mixes some of the best parts of popular subgenres of competitive online games, such as multiplayer online battle arena (Moba) and hero shooters. In doing so, it also introduces new mechanics that set itself apart from other titles.
What Deadlock Isn’t There are a bunch of skill sets you’ll need to master.

The next General Hospital spoilers video for Tuesday, August 20, 2024, focus on gigantic mistakes, out-of-control emotions, and perplexing actions.
Coming up in Port Charles
Molly (Kristen Vaganos) finally shares some of her feelings with Tj (Tajh Bellow). Of course, those feelings are about Kristina’s actions. She, ultimately, can’t get over those incriminating photos Sonny’s people took and the fact that Kristina (Kate Mansi) went to the Metro Court hotel to confront Ava (Maura West) in the first place. What conclusions will they draw?
Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) has a lot to think about right now. There’s his sister, who was arrested. But thanks to his chat with Laura (Genie Francis), he also has Lulu on his mind. Look for Dante to open up to Sam (Kelly Monaco). What will she have to say about what he’s going through?
A sudden summit between Ava and Nina (Cynthia Watros) unfolds at Ava’s gallery.

After spending more than two years in development, Disney is giving the axe to its Jack and the Beanstalk project Gigantic. Disney has yanked the November 25, 2020 release date for this Jack and the Beanstalk musical, with the studio stating that they hit a creative wall, so to speak, with the project. Here's what Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios president Ed Catmull had to say about why they pulled the plug on Gigantic.
"It's impossible to know when we begin a project how the creative process will unfold, and sometimes, no matter how much we love an idea or how much heart goes into it, we find that it just isn't working. With Gigantic, we've come to that point, and although it's a difficult decision, we are ending active development for now. We are focusing our energies on another project that has been in the works, which we'll be sharing more about soon,...

Disney Animation has been developing and new animated film project called Gigantic that was supposed to be released in 2020. The movie would have been a reimagining of the classic fairytale story Jack and the Beanstalk the story of which followed a man meeting a young female giant.
To be honest, I was never excited about this movie anyway. Jack and the Beanstalk has been retold so many different times that another retelling just didn't interest me. Here's a previously released description of the movie:
Set in Spain during the Age of Exploration, Disney’s Gigantic follows adventure-seeker Jack as he discovers a world of giants hidden within the clouds. He hatches a grand plan with a 60-foot-tall, 11-year-old girl, and agrees to help her find her way home. But he doesn’t account for her super-sized personality – and who knew giants were so down to earth?

Disney is putting the brakes on their original animated feature Gigantic, the Jack and the Beanstalk-inspired movie that was set to hit theaters in 2020. The updated spin on the classic fairy tale would have found Jack befriending a female giant and was being developed with Tangled helmer Nathan Greno and Inside Out co-writer Meg LeFauve on board to co-direct. Frozen songwriters Robert Lopez and Kirsten Anderson-Lopez were going to write the music. Gigantic was originally scheduled to arrive in theaters on November 21, 2018 and was subsequently pushed back to the 2020 slot. However, THR …...

‘Captain Marvel’ has hired a new screenwriter. Deadline is reporting that Geneva Robertson-Dworet is set to rewrite of the upcoming Marvel Studios project. Meg LeFauve (Inside Out) and Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy) were originally contracted to write the script, but LeFauve left the project to direct the animated feature Gigantic.
The interesting thing about this news is that Robertson-Dworet has yet to have a screenplay released, which will be 2018’s untitled ‘Tomb Raider‘ reboot. Although audiences have yet to see her work on the big screen, Robertson-Dworet also penned ‘Gotham City Sirens‘, the upcoming ‘Suicide Squad‘ spinoff. She is also attached to write in-development projects such as ‘Sherlock Holmes 3‘ and has had two screenplays appear on the “black list”, a yearly list of the industry’s best un-produced screenplays.

Marvel Studios has brought on Geneva Robertson-Dworet to write the script for its highly-anticipated Captain Marvel movie. The studio brought on Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Meg LeFauve (Inside Out) to write Captain Marvel back in April 2015, although it isn't clear if Geneva Robertson-Dworet will be starting from scratch with a page one rewrite, or if she will be working from this original draft. Since the movie doesn't hit theaters until March 8, 2019, there is still plenty of time to get the screenplay in working order.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news today, adding that Meg LeFauve has now moved on to write and direct the new Disney animated film Gigantic. Nicole Perlman also signed on last year to write the highly-anticipated and controversial Labyrinth remake, so its possible that they were both simply not available for further rewrites, which lead to Geneva Robertson-Dworet coming aboard. Wonder Woman may have already hit theaters, but there’s still a solid year and a half before Marvel Studios will have their own female-led standalone superhero film hit theaters (not including next year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp). All the info regarding 2019’s Captain Marvel has seemed promising. From what we know, the film is set in the ‘90s, and will have a young Nick Fury present and accounted for.
That being said, the movie still has a solid seven or so months until it’ll need to shoot, and with that in mind, there’s a lot of work still to do, including polish that script. Marvel Studios original hired Inside Out’s Meg LeFauve and Guardians of the Galaxy’s Nicole Perlman to write the first draft of the feature, but with LeFauve leaving to co-direct the Disney Animation flick Gigantic, they had to have someone else fill her shoes.

Screenwriter Geneva Robertson-Dworet has been tapped to rewrite Brie Larson’s “Captain Marvel,” an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap. Robertson-Dworet’s credits include the “Tomb Raider” reboot and DC movie “Gotham City Sirens.” Screenwriters Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman were originally tapped to write the script, but LeFauve had to leave the superhero movie because she is now writing and directing Disney’s animated film “Gigantic.” “Captain Marvel” is Marvel Studio’s first female superhero movie and will be a prequel set before “Iron Man.” Also Read: Who or What Are the Skrulls, the Villains in 'Captain Marvel'?...

The Captain Marvel solo movie has undergone a small change in personnel.
As reported by Deadline, screenwriter Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Gotham City Sirens, Tomb Raider) has agreed to take over and pen the remainder of the script alongside Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy). Robertson-Dworet will now pick up the reins from the outgoing Meg LeFauve (Inside Out), who is committed to co-directing the Gigantic animated pic for Disney.
Perhaps more than anything else, this is another sure-fire sign that Marvel’s long-awaited Carol Danvers spinoff is finally beginning to fall into place. Also of note, that Geneva Robertson-Dworet has seemingly wrapped work on the script for Gotham City Sirens tells us that David Ayer’s Suicide Squad spinoff may be further along than initially thought, even when you consider that Ayer looked to be heading for the exit door late last month. Granted, the Bright filmmaker has since debunked those...

"The Newsroom" has added another new face to its Season 2 cast: Meryl Streep's daughter Grace Gummer.
Gummer, the younger sister of "Emily Owens, M.D." star Mamie Gummer, will have a recurring part on Aaron Sorkin's HBO series, Deadline reports. She plays a reporter covering Mitt Romney's presidential campaign.
That would indicate some kind of jump ahead in time for the show, but maybe not all the way up to the fall of 2012. Romney, after all, formally announced he was running for president in June 2011.
Gummer, whose credits include the Nick series "Gigantic" and the movies "Larry Crowne" and "Margin Call," joins fellow "Newsroom" newcomers Patton Oswalt and Rosemarie DeWitt in the Season 2 cast. HBO hasn't set a return date for the show yet.

Matthew Underwood was arrested in Florida early Wednesday morning. TMZ reports that the 22-year-old former Nickelodeon star was charged with violating a 12-month probation stemming from a previous arrest in April, when he was found in possession of weed and in the presence of a minor.
According to the report, the troubled "Zoey 101" actor was at Cloud 9, a hookah lounge he co-owns in Port St. Lucie, when his night was intercepted by authorities, at around 3 A.M. Underwood is currently in custody at Port St. Lucie jail.
In July, Underwood had struck a deal with prosecutors over his April arrest that allowed the actor to plead no contest to the charges in exchange for a 12-month probation and substance abuse evaluation.
Underwood isn't the first Nickelodeon star to have had trouble with the law, of course. Over the past year, Amanda Bynes' vehicular accidents have been well-documented by the tabloids,...

Title: Beneath the Darkness Director: Martin Guigui (‘Raging Bull II’) Starring: Dennis Quaid, Aimee Teegarden (TV’s ‘Friday Night Lights’) and Tony Oller (TV’s ‘Gigantic’) The appeal of living in small American towns is that everyone knows their neighbors, and they’re a safe environment for children to grow up in. But when a seemingly respectable pillar of the community is actually full of rage, and is willing to unleash fear on anyone who threatens to expose his secrets, the psychological terror is enough to frighten anyone. Billy Crudup, 43, is one of those actors in Hollywood that plays it low key, yet everyone is always wanting to know who he's shacking up with. Can we really be blamed? This is the guy that dumped Weeds' Mary-Louise Parker mid-pregnancy in 2003 to get with Claire Danes. Parker was only two months shy on giving birth to their first child.
Well, now it looks like he's found a new love interest in Grace Gummer. Other wise known as Meryl Streep's daughter.
The 25 year old actress and Billy were seen together at an after-party for "The Rampart" at the Mondrian Soho Hotel Tuesday night. The New York Daily News is reporting that the Gigantic TeenNick and Big Fish actors were "physically open about their relationship" and were seen holding hands and rubbing each other's backs.
The two met when they both starred in Tom Stoppard's "Arcadia" on Broadway as love interests.

We imagine Ryan Rottman is breathing a sigh of relief right about now. The star of Nickelodeon's now-canceled Gigantic saw drunken driving charges against him dismissed today after he agreed to cop to a reduced plea of alcohol-related misdemeanor reckless driving. News that as part of the deal with prosecutors, the 27-year-old Rottman was placed on three years' probation and fined $390. Additionally, the court will require him to take a three-month alcohol education course. The TV hunk got into this mess in July when he got behind the wheel and jumped a curb in...

Rottman Sentenced To Three Years Probation
Actor Ryan Rottman has been sentenced to three years probation after accepting a plea deal relating to a DUI arrest in July.
The Nickelodeon was stopped by officers who allegedly witnessed his car jump a curb following a night out in Hollywood.
The Gigantic star's blood alcohol level was reportedly more than twice the legal limit, but in August he pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence.
And on Thursday Rottman accepted a plea deal and was charged with misdemeanour reckless driving, according to TMZ.com.
As part of the deal, the actor's DUI charges were thrown out but he has been ordered to enrol in a safe driver's course and pay a $390 (GBP243.75) fine.
