A great watch for the family. It has all the entertaining factors a movie goer expects. The son Vijay goes against father Anantnag's wishes and starts lorry business instead continuing his father's printing business. He faces many challenges and overcomes to achieve as the biggest lorry business in India today. He also startsnews paper business and television channel. Vijayanand is an honest attempt by the filmmaker to throw light on the life of Dr. Vijay Sankeshwar. This is the second film by director Rishika Sharma and actor Nihal. They have done a good attempt. Vijayanand showcases an ambitious man's dogged persistence and perseverance, and is definitely an inspiring watch.
Nihal silences a certain section of detractors who wanted a notable actor to play the lead. His commitment to the role, even radically altering his features to fit into the character, is applaudable. Bharath Bopanna as Anand Sankeswar fits the bill and has given a neat performance. Anant Nag as BG Sankeshwar is the highlight of Vijayanand, who stays true to the character of a humble person in North Karnataka, and his presence is profound, especially through his dialogue delivery. Ravichandran too has a strong presence in the film, which has a decent performance by Prakash Belawadi, who plays a press editor. Other characters too have done justice to their respective roles.
Nihal gave a lovely performance as the son of a small town printing press owner who isn't much of a student, to his father's dismay. He declares his intention to have his own business, and disregards his father's negative predictions about his prospects. Vijayanand is the story of the rise of a common man from a small town in Karnataka to become the owner of maybe the most successful lorry, newspaper and television business in India. The film is said to be based closely on the story of a real person, Vijay Sankeshwar. It seems intended to inspire Indians to overcome the obstacles presented by competitors, and it raises the question as to what the appropriate response to the competitors is.
Frames of Keerthan Poojari is serene in every aspect. It lays foundation for the period setup and enhances the mood of the film. Gopi Sundar shines both in songs as well as in the background score. Music sweeps the audience through its majestic essence every single time. Sharp dialogues lands its morale nature to the audience while all the other come up as explanations rather than a response for a situation. Quite a few time, the fourth wall is broken to convince the audience with the flesh of reality. Mast movie. People should go to the theatre and watch this movie. Kannada movie industry is making fantastic movies. This movie is directed by woman Director Rishika Sharma. This is a biography of a Businessman Vijay Sankeshwar.
Vijay takes a risk, defaults on debt, buys a lorry, and sets out to chase his dream. The path is exciting but filled with obstacles. One part that keeps the excitement going is how he goes about clearing the roadblocks in his life, and how he manages to succeed. The second half covers his brief entry into politics, and how he got into the media business and became number one. I recommend this movie to all the youths who are loosing interest in taking risks and considering new paths in life. Songs by Gopi Sunder are melodious and the BGM is also very nice. Vijayanand showcases an ambitious man's dogged persistence and perseverance, and is definitely an inspiring watch.
