Stand out performance

I am a sucker for any production based on gruesome real life crimes. The Ogress certainly ticks all boxes for me and I was not let down. The script was well worked with a mix of historical facts as well as the suggestion of the occult. The performances were impressive. A special mention for Timothy Cullingworth Hudson who shone as David. An all round enjoyable watch.

Fabulous edge of your seat ....

This was a fantastic short film. Really excited me from the onset. Enjoyed the story line & I love a good scare. I'd love to see a longer version of This . The story line is one that really gripped me. The acting was on point and I'd love to see more. Love a little supernatural/paranormal 👍🏼

well crafted

A serial murder case from the end of XIX century imitated . A beautiful veil of paranormal , the forest and the old mirror as pillars, a police officer front a tradition about price of ogres to become human and a husband lost in his pain.

Not the story itself is special but the care for details and real smart construction of it.

Chilling to the bone

From the start I was taken by the eerie tone and opening dialogue. This very well executed horror directed by Jon Kent set a standard for short horrors. I found myself on the edge of my seat watching Detective Hayes (Jake Francis) investigate into newly found evidence of the case based off the 1896 child killings of Amelia Dyer. The detective in this short plays opposite the very talented David (Tim Cullingworth Hudson) and Anya (Meg Matthews), a distrought couple still mourning the loss of their missing child, bring the story to life with their captivating performances. A great score and beautiful camera work pull together this great watch, and I look forward to watching more from the incredible team that brought this together.

Very solid short

Stumbled across this really, but glad I did.. Good story, kinda felt like a short version of a decent budget feature.. acting was proper strong throughout from all the cast. Recon they will appear in more. Better than some of the stuff of NF.
