Bollywood Mascot: The investigation into the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has seen notable progress as Mumbai Police recover critical evidence linked to the incident. The accused, Mohammed Shariful Islam Shahjad, reportedly revealed during interrogation that a knife used in the attack had been discarded near Bandra Lake. Following an intensive search, law enforcement successfully retrieved the weapon’s missing piece, which could play a pivotal role in the case.
In addition to this, authorities have questioned a rickshaw driver who claims to have seen the suspect in the Bandra area. Essential items such as the suspect’s shirt, scarf, knife, and hair samples have been sent for forensic analysis to strengthen the investigation. Statements from Saif’s wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, three housemaids, and several acquaintances, including two friends, have already been recorded. The Berlin International Film Festival has announced its full lineup for the 55th Forum section, the festival’s sidebar focusing on experimental and avant-garde cinema.
Section head Barbara Wurm said the 2025 selection aims to showcase contemporary cinema that “moves beyond the cult and the commercial” while functioning as a “seismograph of our time.”
The program’s exploration of time is highlighted by Stefan Hayn’s 2024 (2023), which juxtaposes political Berlin with private Bavaria, utilizing both film and painting as frames for observation. Cao Yiwen’s AI-driven What’s Next? poses a philosophical question about the future, while Su Hui-Yu’s The Trio Hall presents a pastiche featuring historical dictators engaged in theatrical performances.
Around half the films at this year’s Forum are documentaries, with highlights including Tatiana Fuentes Sadowski’s The Memory of Butterflies, a reconstruction of Indigenous slavery and colonial crimes; Lee Anne Schmitt’s Evidence, which explores...

During the most recent season of The Curse of Oak Island, the show has spent a lot of time talking about Vikings. Their theory is that Vikings assisted the Knights Templar and hid a treasure long ago.
Still, the Oak Island guys have seemingly finally found physical proof that a treasure exists, which has had viewers buzzing during their 12th season.
A Theory Turns Into Reality On Oak Island
The crew located some treasures linked to Viking history, mere weeks after they embarked on a trip to learn more about North American Vikings’ history. The team traveled to L’Anse aux Meadows a Unesco World Heritage site located in Newfoundland, Canada.
It is the only North American location that has verification that Vikings had once settled there, which occurred approximately in the year, 1,000. Interestingly enough, the area is only 600 miles from Oak Island. This is the second trip the team...

Josh Brolin has played several iconic roles throughout his career, including the MCU’s infamous supervillain, Thanos. But before stepping into the Marvel universe, Brolin portrayed a DC superhero in the 2010 Western film Jonah Hex.

Unfortunately, the movie was a box office flop, and Brolin didn’t react too kindly, heavily criticizing the film’s director, Jimmy Hayward. However, the actor has since expressed regret over his harsh comments about the filmmaker.

Robert Downey Jr.’s return to the MCU has gotten a lot of fans speculating about how the upcoming Avengers films will play out. Given that the former Tony Stark actor will be essaying the role of Doctor Doom, fans are sure that his appearance in the MCU is going to have some dramatic and emotional consequences for characters like Bruce Banner and Spider-Man.

A theory has been making the rounds on the internet that Doctor Doom is going to use a particular concept introduced in Deadpool & Wolverine to take over the multiverse. This in particular would be an emotional gut punch, given that involves Tom Holland’s Spider-Man biting the dust by the time the credits roll on Avengers: Doomsday.

The changing landscape of TV, with the introduction of streaming services like Netflix and the decline of cable, has led to series with fewer seasons and fewer episodes per season. However, some programs have stood the test of time and lasted way longer than fans would have thought possible.
While it's easy for animated shows like South Park to go on for years because of the creative freedom and endless possibilities in the genre, some drama shows have lasted just as long due to their gripping storytelling. They also replace characters as they age to keep viewers interested. As things change, it's comforting for many viewers to find a show that taps into nostalgia while tackling modern issues. From The Simpsons to Grey's Anatomy, several TV shows have been running for decades and still boast a steady viewership, with no end in sight.

Lamb of God have offered up “Evidence” — a song previously unavailable in North America — on digital streaming platforms.
The band shared the track to celebrate the the first anniversary of its latest album, Omens. Previously, “Evidence” was only available as a bonus track on the Japanese CD release of the album, but it can now be streamed far and wide.
There’s nothing extraneous about “Evidence.” Belying its prior bonus-track status, the song sees Lamb of God laying down slam riffs and chunked-out breakdowns — perfect pockets for Randy Blythe to inject his growls and rhythmic gutturals. The arrangement takes some surprising turns, with its prog-like Mastodon-ish flow leading to a satiating blastbeat section at one point.
Lamb of God are also commemorating the Omens anniversary on Saturday with the widespread release of their documentary Making Of: Omens, which details the creation of the album. It will be streamable via the band’s YouTube channel.

One of Agatha Christie's most popular stories, Murder on the Orient Express has received a graphic novel adaptation from William Morrow - an imprint of Harper Collins. The classic mystery has charmed readers for years and this new version of the story is similarly charming. Remaining faithful to the story's structure, the graphic novel is a must-read for Christie fans. It's the perfect time for this adaptation, which releases at the same time as A Haunting in Venice, starring Kenneth Branagh as Poirot.
Murder on the Orient Express has the creative team of Agatha Christie and Bob Al-Greene. Al-Greene works as design director for Mashable. He adapted the original novel and provided art for this new edition. Williams Morrow has published several graphic novels and comic-related works, including projects by Scott McCloud and Larry Gonick. In the pantheon of Erotic Thrillers, Body of Evidence is an odd one. It falls into the even more niche sub-category of courtroom thrillers, which spend as much time on the naughty bits as they do with witnesses on the stand or in depositions (see also: Disclosure).
Enter Body of Evidence. In the film, femme fatale Rebecca Carlson (Madonna) is arrested and charged with murder when her older, wealthy boyfriend John Marsh (Michael Forest) is found dead. Turns out the pair had quite the risqué sex life (or at least as risqué as mainstream Hollywood fare was willing to address in 1993): they were having non-missionary sex that involved some light bondage (ie: restraints such as belts and handcuffs).
District Attorney Robert Garrett (Joe Mantegna) makes it clear to the jury in his opening remarks that Rebecca’s body is the murder weapon. She induced Marsh’s fatal heart attack...

If you haven’t had the chance to screen Howie Askins and Ryan McCoy’s indie found footage shocker, Evidence (review), now might be a good time to abandon this article and embark on a mission. The film is one long wild punch in the face that (somehow) you just never see coming. And really, this one does indeed defy the majority of typical Ff maneuvers that audiences have come to expect. The picture begins on a safe playing field, but quickly veers off in a dangerous direction obstructed by countless risks. But, it pays off, and it pays off big.

With a franchise-hungry Hollywood keen to offer us more found footage capers than we can – or would care – to shake a stick at, it's with an eager curiosity that Shock Till You Drop comes across Evidence, a little indie effort.
Director Ryan McCoy's project is ambitious to say the least – having recently seen Evidence ourselves, Shock can tell you there are elements of nearly every title out there that falls into this equally loved-not-so-loved "found footage" sub-genre.
The trick with most found footage films is they tend to rely heavily on the element of surprise, letting the viewer's imagination run amok, scaring us with the unknown – so writing about them is a little tricky. One little word could end up giving the entire game away, not only killing your potential enjoyment of what may have very well been a tense as hell thrill ride but also making all those...

With the continuing success/popularity/milking of the genre now having pretty much equalled the slasher boom of the 1980s, films are inevitably struggling to add anything new to the formula, and so it’s understandable that even the most hardcore fans will find it hard to get exited at the prospect of yet another low budget outing where endangered idiots refuse to put down their cameras in the face of certain death. Certainly, “Evidence” doesn’t start too promisingly, with McCoy out in the woods with best friend Brett and their respective girlfriends, making a documentary about nothing in particular. Soon enough, they are beset by the usual “Blair Witch Project” shenanigans, hearing noises in the night, having their tents shaken and waking up to find strange things in the tress.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Found footage flicks are a dime a dozen. And while I don’t dislike them on principle, I’m starting to realize that the bad certainly outweigh the good. I completely understand that this format is a cheap and easy way for filmmakers to get their foot in the proverbial door, but old-fashioned storytelling is always better than pretending your movie is a legitimate documentation of some sort of real-life horror. I’m just saying. Below you’ll find a trailer for the upcoming genre endeavor “Evidence”, a film which arrives on DVD this March. Here’s what this particular flick is all about: Ryan is making a documentary on his friend, Brett, about camping for the first time. However, once they begin camping, they discover that there is a mysterious figure that is hunting them. “Evidence” stars Ryan McCoy,...

After drawing early critical acclaim, Howie Askins’ shocker, Evidence will be arriving on DVD, March 12th courtesy of Showbox Home Entertainment. Written by Ryan McCoy, who also stars alongside Brett Rosenberg, Abigail Richie and Ashley Bracken, Evidence serves as a good reminder that camping can be dangerous, especially with a camera. Evidence the found footage approach, and judging by the reviews I’ve caught thus far; this group of filmmakers take a few rewarding risks. Daniel Wall handles the cinematography in this slater-in-the-woods tale. Check out the synopsis below, and keep your eyes peeled on March 12th, when the film lands on shelves!

Found-footage films have formed their own niche within the horror genre—but with so many being produced, it’s hard for a fan to distinguish between what might be a truly scary film and what might be laughably awful. Evidence is truly scary, and it has a monster in it to boot. Read on for some exclusive pics and comments from the film’s writer, Ryan McCoy.

RynoRyder Productions has sent over the poster and trailer for their new ‘found footage’ film, Evidence, from director Howie Askins. The film, described as being the highest concept for a ‘found footage’ movie, centers on four young adults who travel into the canyons around L.A., only to find they are being stalked by a mysterious creature.

Do you remember your first time camping? There's nothing like that first time, and in the upcoming "found footage" movie Evidence, Ryan is making a documentary to record his friend Brett's first camping experience. Of course all hell breaks loose (as you guessed) and the movie promises that “it’s not what you think".
All signs appear to point positively to the fact that this one isn't what you'd expect, including a comment from Uncle Creepy at DreadCentral.com, who said
"The horrors of Evidence are thrown at you relentlessly, full throttle, full frontal, with absolutely no holds barred until the very last frame of the incredible end credits sequence."
Watch for the theatrical release in early 2012 and check out the trailer below. You can also find the official Evidence facebook page here.

2012 should see the release of Evidence from director Howie Askins and Writer/Producer Ryan McCoy. This independent movie joins the ranks of Cinema Verite, or found footage, style of film seen most recently with the likes of Atrocious, YellowBrickRoad and the soon to be released Paranormal Activity. Is there room for yet another one? Well judging from the trailer below I would say that there is. Check it out yourself and make your own mind up.

There’s a reason filmmakers are churning out found footage films; they’ve got an inherent draw. Writer-producer Ryan McCoy is the latest to jump on the bandwagon with his film Evidence, a piece that follows four people into the canyons near La. There’s no witch, rabid virus or ghosts here, rather a mysterious creature wreaking havoc on their home movie. The film’s trailer is up and running and not only proves the sub-genre’s got some juice left in it, but that McCoy knows how to work with the format and director Howie Askins has got the eye to bring McCoy’s script to life. On top of that, the guys must have...

Stumbled across this, recently. Some sales art for Evidence from filmmaker Howie Askins. Written by and starring Ryan McCoy, the film is about, well, Ryan making a documentary on his friend, Brett, who is camping for the first time. However, once they begin camping, they discover that there is a mysterious figure that is hunting them. Check out a trailer below as well.

Whether you like it or not, documentary style films are here to stay. Some are good, and others quite frankly suck. But this particular one...simply titled, Evidence, seems like it might be a winner. Evidence follows four young adults (Ryan McCoy, Brett Rosenberg, Abigail Richie, Ashley Bracken) on a camping trip through the canyons around La, while one of them is filming a documentary about his bud. Since we pretty much discovered the phenom that is Paranormal Activity years before its release and pop culture explosion, indie filmmakers have been sending us their cinéma-vérité style horror flicks ever since. Literally we're inundated with them. Sadly most suck but every now and again one catches our eyes and blows our minds.
Evidence is just such a film. In fact, the last act of Evidence is home to some of the most "Holy shit, what the fuck was that?" filmmaking that we've seen in quite some time. We're talking the type of truly intense lunacy that will stick with you long after the film's end. You guys really need to keep an eye on this one!

Affordable HD cameras are both a blessing and a curse. Although it gives struggling independent filmmakers an easy way to create their respective masterpieces on an extremely limited budget, it also gives rise to those who are looking to cash in on a craze. Take, for instance, Howie Askins’ upcoming “lost footage” flick “Evidence”. It’s yet another one of those “youngsters lost in the woods” movies where the entire cast is menaced by something decidedly evil while the camera continues to roll. And while “Evidence” certainly looks a little stronger than most, I’m still having trouble shaking the strong “Blair Witch Project” vibe I’m getting from some of the shots. Am I being a little too harsh on this project? Take a peek at the embedded trailer and let me know. Via Bloody Disgusting function getVideo() { var so = new SWFObject("http://cdn.springboard.gorillanation.com/storage/xplayer/yo033.swf", "mplayer", "590", "375", "8", "#000000"); so.

Is Howie Askins' Evidence another found-footage project worth keeping an eye on? The early indications are that it could be.
With its story of a group of friends stumbling across something while camping in the hills outside La the hook here is that behind Cloverfield and Troll Hunter this is one of very, very few projects to wed the creature feature with the moc-doc. And it appears that they've done it rather well.
