Stephen King's Silver Bullet, the horror film starring Gary Busey, is now available to stream for free. It joins a host of new horror movies available on Tubi.
Silver Bullet arrived on Tubi alongside the first four installments in the Insidious franchise,Quarantine and Quarantine 2: Terminal, and the Brad Pitt-led World War Z zombie movie. Silver Bullet was released in 1985 and is based on King's 1983 novella Cycle of the Werewolf. Busey stars as Uncle Red, a loyal man who cares for his niece and nephew despite being seen as the town drunk. Corey Haim and Megan Follows star as Busey's niece and nephew, Marty and Jane Coslaw, respectively.
As a series of murders plagues the town, Red and his family try to uncover the truth behind the killings. When the townspeople form a vigilante group to track down the attacker, the murders continue to pile up, with a suspected werewolf responsible.

Amid her run as one of the stars of the serial killer series Dexter, Jennifer Carpenter starred in a zombie movie released in 2008. The film, along with its sequel, can be revisited for free after recently becoming available to watch on Tubi.
Per Tubi, Quarantine and Quarantine 2: Terminal are streaming on Tubi as of March 1. Quarantine, which is a found footage horror film, is based on the original Spanish movie Rec. The movie stars Carpenter as news reporter Angela Vidal, who arrives at an apartment building to report on a strange distress call made to authorities. Unfortunately, a zombie-like virus is spreading in the building, resulting in the government to place the whole area in quarantine, effectively strapping survivors inside with the undead. Amid uncertainty over what the government will do next, those left alive must attempt to find a way to break free — or at least record as...

Talk about reviving a franchise from the grave! Twenty-six years (26!) after Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1996 action film Eraser comes a franchise reboot featuring none of the original cast and with two veterans of franchise reboots and Dtv sequels at the helm, director John Pogue and writer Michael D. Weiss. Yet whilst both filmmakers have experience in reboots and sequels they also have some other fantastic movies under their belts – Pogue wrote all Three of The Skulls movies (the second being a personal favourite) and Weiss penned some classic Dtv movies that went on to be staples of the early days of budget DVDs – Octopus and it’s sequel, Crocodile and US Seals 2… Yes, Eraser: Reborn has quite the pedigree.

The first trailer for Deep Blue Sea 3 has arrived. This serves as a follow-up to 2018's direct-to-video sequel, which played out a great deal like a remake of the original. Now, director John Pogue is taking a crack at the shark-centric franchise to bring us another home video installment this summer. As we can see from the trailer, the sequel will finally be taking things in an entirely new direction.
We open with a shot of several sharks swimming in the water up to an island, which we come to learn is an abandoned fishing village that is now being used as a scientific outpost of sorts to study sharks. After several people disappear, these scientists venture out to investigate and, as one might guess, it doesn't go well. A group of smart sharks begins picking them off, which leads to lots of action. Based on what we're seeing here,...

Happy 2016, everyone! I sure hope you received some shopping money this holiday season, as this first week of horror and sci-fi home entertainment releases is a big one and we’ve got a lot to look forward to. Two of my personal favorites of 2015 are making their way home this week to Blu-ray and DVD—Deathgasm and Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse—and Universal is serving up a double dose of terror with their releases of The Green Inferno and The Visit.
Scream Factory is also keeping busy with their double feature Blu-ray of The House Where Evil Dwells / Ghost Warrior and Over Your Dead Body, the latest from Takashi Miike. Other notable releases on January 5th include The Inhabitants, Wrecker, Condemned, and Kill Game.

Crammed in a metal tube over 40,000 feet in the air is one of the worst situations to be in when the zombie infection hits, but that's exactly where AMC is taking viewers in an upcoming half-hour special that will feature a future Fear The Walking Dead character.
EW reports that AMC is developing a standalone special set in the shared world of Fear The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead. The half-hour special / prequel will follow "a group of passengers facing a walker attack on an airline while in flight. One character who survives that encounter will then join the cast of Fear the Walking Dead in season 2."
Currently untitled, this infection-in-the-air story takes place during the outset of the zombie apocalypse. The special will premiere online and will also be shown on TV in separate segments during the commercial break slots of The Walking Dead Season 6.

Two kids visiting their long-lost grandparents for the week. Nothing spooky about that. Except it’s the premise for director M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming film The Visit.

M. Night Shyamalan returns to his roots with the terrifying story of a brother and sister who are sent to their grandparents’ remote Pennsylvania farm for a weeklong trip called The Visit, and in true M. Night form, things don’t necessarily go as planned. Last week, I got the chance to sit down with Shymalan in a small round table discussion about working outside of the film system. Check it out below.
A single mother sends her two young children to visit their grandparents on a remote Pennsylvania farm for a week-long trip, but the children discover that the elderly couple is involved in deeply disturbing activity, and the youngsters’ chances of getting back home look less and less likely with every minute that passes.

Though it will take place in the early days of the zombie uprising, Fear The Walking Dead will focus on the living more than the dead, and Robert Kirkman recently discussed the show's core characters, including several who are shown in new photos.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly's Dalton Ross, Kirkman discussed the background of Madison, the series' widowed mother of two (Kim Dickens):
"Madison is a character whose husband died. And she’s been raising her kids on her own, so she’s a character that has experienced a very abrupt change to her life that she has had to adapt to."
Kirkman also talked about Madison's kids, Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and Nick (Frank Dillane), who are complete opposites:
"Alicia is your atypical teenage girl. She excels at school. She’s on her way to college... She’s kind of the model student and the model child.

Erickson on how the companion series compares time-wise with the first episode of The Walking Dead:

The Quiet Ones – those who have witnessed the unexplainable, the possibly supernatural, and are rendered speechless beyond logical response. Psychologists, men of scholar, can remain calm behind a wall of reason, pointing to mental manifestations, emotional sickness, and events that can be controlled, but the quiet ones refuse to let the unknown be contained by theories and experiments. Scientists will burn the world down in their quest for knowledge and answers, but sometimes the most preposterous summation begs more attention than the conclusion within safe grasping distance, especially when dealing with demons, possessions, or paranoias thought to be nothing but campfire stories. The quiet ones embrace fear, humility and acceptance while arrogant intellectuals bullishly disregard methods without proof – a confident practice that many knowledgeable minds may discount after watching Hammer’s latest haunted story.
Professor Joseph Coupland (Jared Harris) is a heralded university professor looking to break the boundaries of psychological research.

What is it about kids in horror movies? Ever since those skin-crawlingly scary twins in Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining, nothing unnerves me more than children chanting eerie lines of dialogue. So, if this latest trailer for Hammer Horror’s upcoming demonic possession flick The Quiet Ones is any indication, I’ll be better off staying far away from the film when it opens next week.
There’s not much new information in this third official trailer for The Quiet Ones, but it’s clear that there is going to be some freaky stuff going down in the isolated country estate where college professor James Coupland (Jared Harris, who recently played another professor – the villainous James Moriarty – in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows) retires with several of his most devoted students to study the case of a young girl named Jane (Olivia Cooke), who is exhibiting symptoms of demonic possession.

"There's something there with you, isn't there?" The second trailer for Hammer's newest horror film The Quiet Ones showed a mix of found footage and traditional narrative filmmaking, and now a new shorter trailer does the same, but this one is pretty intense, showing a lot of the craziness that happens in this supernatural college experiment gone wrong. Following the creepy UK trailer for the new horror film from Hammer (the team behind The Woman in Black and Let Me In, we have a second trailer for The Quiet Ones showing off much more of the plot and scares. The story follows a university student (Sam Claflin) and some classmates who are recruited to carry out a private experiment -- to create a poltergeist. By using a dangerously disturbed young woman (Olivia Cooke), they try to explore the dark energy her damaged psyche may manifest. As the experiment unravels along with their sanity, the students are confronted with a terrifying force. Does this look scary? Here's the new trailer for John Pogue's The Quiet Ones, straight from Lionsgate: The Quiet Ones is directed by John Pogue (Quarantine 2: Terminal) from a script he wrote with Craig Rosenberg (The Uninvited) and Oren Moverman (Rampart, The Messenger). Inspired by true events,...

Lionsgate has released the first trailer and picture for the upcoming supernatural thriller The Quiet Ones, which as being sold as being inspired by true events, telling the story of an unorthodox, but charismatic professor who uses controversial methods and leads his best students off the grid to take part in a dangerous experiment: to create a poltergeist from negative human energy. Directed by John Pogue (Quarantine 2: Terminal) and starring Jared Harris, Sam Claflin, Erin Richards, Rory Fleck-Byrne and Olivia Cooke the film is set to hit theaters on April 25 and was one of my most anticipated of 2014, but after checking out the very end of this trailer it looks like they are stealing the "goo out of the mouth" thing straight from A Haunting in Connecticut. I don't really like that, but we'll see. Check out the trailer, the first picture and the official synopsis below. A university...

From Hammer Films, legendary producers of movies macabre and who made an impressive and profitable comeback with hits The Woman in Black, comes their next big horror outing called The Quiet Ones. And it looks pretty great.
Directed by John Pogue (whose Quarantine 2: Terminal was surprisingly enjoyable) and co-scripted with Craig Rosenberg (The Uninvited) and Oren Moverman (Rampart, The Messenger), the film is based on true events.
Synopsis:

I think I expected a more scares from this first trailer for “Quarantine 2: Terminal” director John Pogue’s “The Quiet Ones”, but I guess when you consider it’s from the folks at Hammer, who gave us the Daniel Radcliffe supernatural drama “The Woman in Black”, it sort of makes sense that the horror is very limited and mostly unseen. At least, in the film’s first teaser trailer. Still, consider me unbowled over. But judge for yourself and take a look at the very first footage from “The Quiet Ones”, starring Sherlock Holmes’ nemesis and that hunky, shirtless guy in “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”. Inspired by true events,The Quiet Ones tells the story of an unorthodox professor (Harris) who uses controversial methods and leads his best students off the grid to take part in a dangerous experiment: to create a poltergeist.
