Should we be freaking the freak out over who might be under the Coral mask on “The Masked Singer?” This week, Robin Thicke thinks maybe so.
In TheWrap’s exclusive sneak peek at Wednesday night’s episode, Thicke guesses that it may just be former Nickelodeon and current “Suits LA” star Victoria Justice performing as Coral, recalling how he first met her at The Preakness Stakes.
“I met this lovely actress, and she can sing,” he recalled. “I think the high school ring might mean because she plays a high schooler on the show ‘Victorious,’ could this be Victoria Justice?”
You can watch “The Masked Singer” clip below:
Thicke’s fellow panelists seem to be on board with the guess, with Rita Ora even saying point blank “I love that!” Whether or not he is actually correct, well, we will just have to wait and see.

David Letterman is typically remembered for his more ridiculous interviews, like the time that Crispin Glover tried to kick him in the face, or when Chuck Norris also tried to kick him in the face. But, in retrospect, one episode of Late Night with David Letterman was an incredibly valuable part of music history.
Forty-one years ago to this day, January 10, 1984, Late Night with David Letterman welcomed Otis Blackwell to the show. While not a household name, Blackwell was, as Letterman stated in his introduction, “the most influential songwriter in rock and roll history.” Blackwell’s credits included hit songs like “Great Balls of Fire” and “Fever.” But, perhaps most notably, he penned several of Elvis Presley’s biggest tunes, including “Don’t Be Cruel,” “All Shook Up” and “Return to Sender.”
Elvis didn’t just record the songs, he arguably copied Blackwell’s singing voice. That’s because Blackwell...

It sounds like a scene out of Jimmy Fallon’s Tonightmares, but it was actually part of something much scarier — Fallon’s tepid romantic comedy with Drew Barrymore, Fever Pitch. While filming the 2005 movie with the Farrelly Brothers, the Saturday Night Live veteran had an odd request: He wanted to spend some quality time talking to the grave of John Belushi.
“I loved Belushi’s energy,” Fallon gushed to Howard Stern this week. “I love that he could sing. You guys would have been friends.”
Sure, lots of people loved Belushi. But why did Fallon want to visit the dead? Mainly because he was nearby. “I go to Martha’s Vineyard, I’m at Peter Farrelly’s,” he remembered. “I go, Belushi’s grave is out here somewhere, like in the middle of a field.”
Farrelly confirmed Fallon’s intel. “Do you want to go to it right now?”

If Kylie Minogue’s Tension generated its, well, tension from its fluctuations between propulsive electro-pop and breezy synth-pop, the album’s sequel, Tension II, fully commits to the former. “Padam Padam” is a direct influence here, with the slinky, undulating synths and robotic vocal hooks of tracks like “Kiss Bang Bang” and “Hello,” an outtake from the original sessions, clearly indebted to that sleeper hit from Tension.
The new album, which could have easily been called More Tension, is Minogue’s most shamelessly ingratiating collection of dance-pop songs since 2010’s Aphrodite—maybe even 2001’s Fever. The Aussie pop singer has, admirably, never before tried to replicate that album’s global smash, “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” but the frothy “Diamonds,” with its unrelenting bassline and earworm vocable, makes a valiant attempt. Elsewhere, the rollicking bass and string sample of “Taboo” nods to another infectious club anthem from the...

The financial prospects of Francis Ford Coppolas new film Megalopolis arent looking good. The new movie from the famed director of Bram Stokers Dracula and The Godfather trilogy comes out this weekend. Megalopolis is a sci-fi epic that centers around an ambitious architect who attempts to reconstruct the city of New Rome into a utopia after a devastating disaster. It features an impressive cast, which includes Adam Driver, Giancarlo Esposito, Nathalie Emmanuel, Aubrey Plaza, Shia Labeouf, and Laurence Fishburne.
A report from Variety says that Coppolas Megalopolis is expected to open to a $5 to $7 million box office draw. This news is concerning considering the movie's massive budget. Coppola financed it himself, putting $120 million into it. Lionsgate is distributing and marketing the movie and will receive a fee in exchange. It will screen in 1,700 movie theaters across North America; it is important to note that the single-digit projection is for the movie's domestic total only.

Spoilers for "Deadpool & Wolverine" ahead.
"Deadpool & Wolverine" has advertised itself as a multiverse adventure. It is a movie that bridges the 20th Century Fox "X-Men" movie franchise with the Marvel Cinematic Universe -- not that you need to be a Marvel super-fan to enjoy "Deadpool & Wolverine." Since there's only so many different worlds one can visit in two hours, the film has a montage of Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) jumping from universe to universe and meeting many different Wolverines.

One of the Wolverines he finds is in dire straits, crucified on a Saint Andrew's cross in an apocalyptic landscape. X-fans might recognize the image from the cover of "Uncanny X-Men" #251 ("Fever Dream"), drawn by Marc Silvestri and Dan Green.
Marvel Comics
Silvestri is a prolific "X-Men" artist; he drew most of writer Chris Claremont's final stretch on the title during the 1980s, and then "Here Comes Tomorrow,...

Exclusive: Bestselling South African scribe Deon Meyer is turning his Last Of Us-esque thriller Fever into a TV series with Federation Meac.
The adaptation, which doesn’t yet have a buyer, is part of a three-project deal struck between Meyer’s Scenne23 and the Federation Studios label, with Meyer set to pen the series himself.
Fever follows Nico Storm and his father Willem, who are the few in South Africa to have survived a devastating virus that wiped out more than 90% of the world’s population. Willem, a thinker and a leader, has a vision for a new community rebuilt from the ruins of the old world, and so Amanzi is formed with a disparate group of survivors. Killing Eve producer Sid Gentle optioned the novel five years ago but that option has run down.

Megan Thee Stallion’s rise to rap stardom can be measured in summers. 2019 marked the first Hot Girl Summer, taking after her nickname, and she christened it with her beloved first mainstream mixtape, Fever. The next year, in July, her world was remade for the worst when she was shot by former friend (and intimate partner), rapper Tory Lanez, though a feature on Cardi B’s culture-shifting “Wap” followed less than a month later. In summer 2021, she rocked her first major festival circuit while manning the unthinkable dissonance of a...

Green Border.Agnieszka Holland begs to differ with Claude Lanzmann. The director of Shoah (1985) had attacked the idea of depicting the Holocaust in a fiction film, claiming that its unfathomable horrors would inevitably be trivialized. In a 2013 National Gallery of Art lecture, “Viewing History through the Filmmaker’s Lens,” Holland made two counter-arguments: that feature films are a tool to educate as many people as possible about the Holocaust, and that “taking on issues that are impossible to explain or grasp rationally is one of the most important challenges of an artist.” Holland had made a number of provocative Holocaust dramas, including Angry Harvest (1985), Europa Europa (1990), and In Darkness (2011), all of which involve the plight of Jews who have improbably escaped capture and death. With these films, Holland looked back at events from decades in the past. In her latest film, she is dramatizing history while it is unfolding.Urgent without sacrificing artistry,...

Entitled “Symphony of Lungs,” the concert is set to go down on September 11th at the Royal Albert Hall in London as part of the BBC Proms classical music festival. It will be aired live on BBC Radio 3.
The concert will see Florence Welch perform the album in full with backing from Jules Buckley and his Orchestra. In addition to its live airing, the performance will be recorded for future broadcast on BBC Radio 1, BBC Two, and BBC iPlayer.

A total of 36 out of 40 Indiana Fever games will be played on nationally-available channels and streaming services this WNBA season.
There’s no sense in denying that Caitlin Clark is a powerful draw for basketball fans. The 2024 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament national championship game featuring Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes taking on the South Carolina Gamecocks drew 18.9 million viewers, over 4 million more than watched the Men’s title game. Clark is virtually guaranteed to be the first overall pick in Monday’s WNBA draft, meaning she’ll join the Indiana Fever. WNBA schedule makers are not ignoring the opportunity, and have announced that the Fever will play 36 of their 40 total games on nationally-broadcast channels and streaming services.
ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 and Ion will each get eight Fever games, the most of any provider. Prime Video will stream four Fever games exclusively in 2024, in addition to the Commissioner’s Cup championship.

Eli Roth's impact on the horror genre has been more attributed to his compelling personality than his increasingly regressive and static films. Hostel showcased Roth's ability to manipulate audience expectations and create a stark shift in tone, making it a masterful example of tonal misdirection. Roth's partnership with Quentin Tarantino in Inglourious Basterds helped deflect attention away from his filmmaking career, but Thanksgiving may mark a resurgence for him.
When Eli Roth made his feature directorial debut with the 2002 comedy horror film Cabin Fever, the film heralded Roth as an exciting and irreverent new voice within the horror, or splatter, film genre. Madonna kicked off “The Celebration Tour” with the first of four performances at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday night.
A true retrospective performance, the career-spanning setlist touched on all eras of Madonna’s career and featured numerous songs that hadn’t been performed in decades. The show opened with only the second performance ever of “N0thing Really Matters” from Ray of Light. A few songs later, she dusted off “Live to Tell” from True Blue for the first time since 2006.
Songs like “Justify My Love,” “Bad Girl,” and “Rain” were performed for the first time sine 1993, while “Bedtime Story” was dusted off for the first time since 1995. Other noteworthy performances included “Like A Prayer,” in which she was accompanied by topless dancers, an acoustic cover of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive,” and “Like a Virgin,” which was interpolated elements of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.”
