Sikandar (Salman Khan) goes by many names, starting from Sanjay, Rajasaab, Bhaijaan, Radhe, Yuvraj Vijay Singh, and all the character names that you can immediately think of from his previous films. He plays the same old hunky action hero with a swag without much intervention in terms of his acting or dancing skills or the demands of the plot. He repeats himself to the point that it becomes a defining quirk of his character, registering an obsessive nature over his style against any narrative logic. Here too, his iconic bracelet makes an appearance, in a fist-fight that is situated inside a private airplane. The punches do land, and the wrongdoer is immediately brought to his knees.
It goes without saying that Salman Khan’s kicks are as impactful as ever. But in “Sikandar” (2025), the action sequences seem to be directly in competition with the songs in a Bollywood movie—they...

Don’t you just love it when your streaming service adds a film to its roster that you’ve had on your watch list for ages? After missing it the first few times round, I finally saw Ready or Not, directed by Radio Silence duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. It was everything I hoped for – a gory, gothic fable that skewers the rich, quite literally, while delivering one of the most entertaining horror-comedies in recent memory.
Grace marries into the Le Domas family, whose fortune comes from a board game empire and whose traditions are, shall we say, unconventional. On her wedding night, she draws the unlucky “Hide and Seek” card from an old box, initiating part of a time-honoured ritual that turns into a deadly manhunt across the family’s sprawling, secret-riddled estate. The rules? Survive until dawn. The stakes? Her life, and possibly her soul.

Why Did Rajesh Khanna Consider Entering The Bigg Boss House? (Photo Credit – Prime Video/Wikipedia)
Rajesh Khanna, fondly known as Kaka, was the undisputed superstar of Indian cinema in the 1970s. With an unmatched streak of consecutive solo hits, his charisma and talent made him one of the biggest sensations Bollywood had ever seen. Fans would line up outside his house, women would marry his photographs, and every film he touched turned gold. However, as the years passed, the magic faded. The 1980s saw his dominance wane, and by the 2000s, he was a relic of a bygone era.
Despite stepping away from the limelight, Khanna remained a subject of public fascination. This made it all the more surprising when reports surfaced that he was considering entering Bigg Boss. Initially dismissing the idea, he later gave it serious thought, reportedly being offered an astronomical ₹3.5 crore per episode. His rumored companion,...

Right after the shoot, Salman cleaned his beard, which he had been keeping for his look in Sikandar. In real life, Salman always prefers a clean-shaven look.”

One of the better horror comedies of the past few years, Ready or Not was a hit with audiences when it released in theaters in 2019. Fans have anxiously anticipated updates on a Ready or Not 2 for several years, but the project was a slow-moving process despite the original's success. Made with a $6 million budget, it grossed $58 million worldwide, a major win for the relatively small production, so it's not a shocker that a sequel was eventually greenlit. However, the time has finally come for some progress, and another rising horror star has been added to the mix to lead the new Ready or Not alongside Samara Weaving.
Deadline reports that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Kathryn Newton has joined the cast of the Ready or Not sequel, which will once again feature Weaving in the lead role. No stranger to the genre, Newton reunites with Radio Silence after previously starring in 2024's Abigail.

Six years ago, genre regular Samara Weaving starred in a very cool horror comedy called Ready or Not, which was directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who went on to make the two most recent Scream sequels and the “Dracula’s daughter” movie Abigail. Last year, it was announced that a sequel is now moving forward – and while Escape Room director Adam Robitel was attached to take the helm of Ready or Not 2 when it was first announced, Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett have since stepped up to direct the sequel, which they have promised will be “an absolute banger.” Wearing is returning for the follow-up, and Deadline has broken the news that she’s being joined in the cast by Kathryn Newton, who previously worked with the directors on Abigail.

Saturday Night Live is no stranger to mythologizing, and no episode has been as elevated to the stuff of legend as the late-night sketch comedy series’ inaugural showing.
A tricenarian Lorne Michaels, half a century yet removed from becoming the preeminent juggernaut of television — before SNL produced such comedic powerhouses as Tina Fey and Steve Martin and late-night mainstays as Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon, before Fey’s 30 Rock spoofed it and numerous other sketches were transformed into feature-length projects — and a group of rag-tag yet promising comedians, including Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Chevy Chase, Laraine Newman, Garrett Morris, Jane Curtin and Gilda Radner, comprised the as-yet untested unit piloting NBC’s experiment of sorts to replace reruns of Johnny Carson’s late-night TV program.

Samara Weaving plays a pop star whose home is invaded by an obsessed fan in Borderline, an upcoming action-comedy thriller being described as a "violently romantic comedy." Judging from the film's first trailer, this is certainly a spin on the traditional rom-com for fans looking for something a bit more offbeat. Check out the trailer below.
Written and directed by Jimmy Warden, who scripted 2023's comedy horror film Cocaine Bear, Borderline stars Weaving as Sofia, a pop star who sees her home invaded by an obsessed fan named Paul (Ray Nicholson). The fan is convinced that the pair are meant to not only be together but also be married, and he plans to manipulate Sofia into succumbing to his delusions. The film also stars Eric Dane, Alba Baptista and Jimmie Fails.
Warden marks his directorial debut with Borderline, and it does look like a fun, albeit demented, piece of work.

From Ghostface to a paranormal DJ? Deadline reports that the filmmaking team known as Radio Silence (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett) are teaming up with Paul Giamatti for a biopic about the late Art Bell. Best known as the founder and original host of Coast to Coast Am, Bell would field unscreened calls from all sorts of people, listening to stories of alien abduction, conspiracy theories, strange creatures, and just about everything you could imagine.
According to Deadline, several studios, including Universal, Amazon, and Warner Bros., are bidding on the Art Bell biopic. Sam Chalsen and Nelson Greaves are writing the script. This is a bit of a different project from the team that has given us Ready or Not, Abigail, and two Scream movies, but it has the potential to be quite interesting. Plus, I could watch Paul Giamatti do just about anything.

Ready or Not's ending reveals the complex rules of the celebrated horror film's deadly game of hide-and-seek. Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Devil's Due), Ready or Not stars Samara Weaving as Grace, a beautiful bride marrying into the fabulously wealthy Le Domas family. Immediately after saying "I do", Grace learns from her new husband Alex (Mark O'Brien) that she must play a game at midnight as part of their eccentric tradition for anyone new joining the family.

According to the Le Domas dynasty, Grace must survive the night to gain acceptance into the family — as if she would still want to be a part of it after her nightmarish post-wedding ordeal. Every single ninja in the Naruto franchise is capable of using various types of justu during missions. Ninjutsu, genjutsu, and Taijutsu are the three main types of jutsu, and they are all highly effective during battle. Most jutsu are designed for combat, whether they are offensive or defensive in nature, but there are also several jutsu that are still effective, even though they are not designed for direct conflict.
The strongest of these non-combat jutsu fall into the genjutsu category, but most of them require some form of kekkei genkai. Some of these non-combat jutsu provide great support during missions, and one jutsu in particular is great for gathering information. One non-combat jutsu has the power to subdue Tailed Beasts, and another can affect the entire world.

Blumhouse is one of the biggest names in horror, and one of their four-year-old movies has found new streaming success. The production company now regularly releases anywhere between four and 12 movies a year, partnering with distributors like Warner Bros., Universal, Lionsgate, and Paramount, as well as streamers like Netflix, Prime Video, and Peacock. Though the stories, casts, and overall quality for Blumhouse movies vary from title to title, the films are generally made for less than $20 million, and they're generally horror or horror-adjacent.
2020 was a complicated year for Hollywood with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic causing global theatrical shutdowns, but several Blumhouse movies were still able to break through. The company's biggest success story of the year is, of course, Leigh Whannell's The Invisible Man, but Freaky and Fantasy Island were also hits. Other titles went straight to VOD, like You Should Have Left and The Craft: Legacy.

Over the last decade, the horror comedy sub-genre has flourished with new modern classics like Freaky, Ready or Not, and Happy Death Day. However, one of the more underrated gems that scared up the big screen was The Dead Dont Die. This meta zombie comedy starring Bill Murray and Adam Driver got a fatal mixed reception when it was initially released in the summer of 2019. However, like the zombie sub-genre itself, nothing can stay dead as Dead Dont Die has found a new streaming home.

If Ready or Not had you hooked with its intense survival thrills and dark humor, there are two lesser-known gems that will scratch that same itch. Both You’re Next and The House of the Devil dive into the realms of survival horror and eerie suspense, offering unique twists on classic horror setups. They’re perfect companions for fans of Ready or Not who want more nail-biting tension and sinister secrets lurking behind family facades.
You’re Next (2011) is a home invasion thriller that flips the genre on its head with its clever twists and sharp humor. When a wealthy family gathers for a reunion in their remote mansion, they’re ambushed by a group of masked assailants. But the attackers soon realize they’ve underestimated one of their targets: Erin, played by Sharni Vinson, whose survival instincts are nothing short of lethal. Much like Samara Weaving’s Grace in Ready or Not,...

Ready or Not 2 is officially happening, and the upcoming sequel needs to finally pay off this Melissa Barrera horror crossover that was teased six months ago. The first Ready or Not proved that directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett were some of the modern masters of horror, with the incredibly fun thriller being one of the most memorable movies of 2019. Now that the long-awaited Ready or Not sequel has finally been officially announced, Ready or Not 2 needs to flesh out a horror cinematic universe that the directors set up only a few months ago.

Hip, hip, hooray! We finally have confirmation that a Ready or Not 2 is happening after months of speculation. On Oct. 12, Radio Silence (the team behind the first film) announced at a Searchlight screening for the 2019 film that started it all, Ready or Not, that a sequel was officially in the works. Here's everything we know so far about the upcoming Ready or Not 2.
Unfortunately, it's unknown when production will start on the film. A release date hasn't been revealed either. However, this isn't surprising, seeing as though the sequel was just announced. It'll be some time before these juicy deets are revealed. However, what we do know is that Samara Weaving will be returning. Weaving starred in the leading role of Grace in the first film.

One of the best recent horror comedy movies of recent years was 2019's "Ready or Not" -- and now it's coming back for round two.
The Hollywood Reporter confirms that a sequel, currently bearing the apt title "Ready or Not 2," is in development. Samara Weaving, who starred in the original as unlikely heroine Grace, will return alongside directing duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett and executive producer Chad Villela. Earlier this year, Weaving had teased that she was "all in" for a "Ready or Not" sequel.
In "Ready or Not," Grace marries into the old money Le Domas family via their golden boy son Alex (Mark O'Brien). As part of a family tradition, Grace and her new in-laws have to play a game, chosen by random card draw. Grace draws Hide and Seek, the unluckiest card of them all. Radio Silence, the directing duo of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, came onto the horror scene in 2012 when they directed one of the shorts in the anthology film V/H/S. They then went on to direct Devils Due and Southbound before making two Scream films and Abigail in the 2020s. Supernatural elements became a staple of their work, with only their two Scream films lacking some kind of paranormal component. Their films were widely beloved by horror fans, but it was their 2019 original flick that has yet to be topped in their extensive film catalog.
