The superstar recently completed the final leg of the filming in Mumbai alongside his co-star Rashmika Mandanna, director A R Murugadoss, and producer Sajid Nadiadwala. The day’s highlight was that Khan shaved off his beard—a first for him post-film shoot—to mark the wrap.

Sources close to the production revealed, “It was a patch-work sequence between Salman and Rashmika in Bandra, and the team finished the shoot around 8:30 Pm. One of the better horror comedies of the past few years, Ready or Not was a hit with audiences when it released in theaters in 2019. Fans have anxiously anticipated updates on a Ready or Not 2 for several years, but the project was a slow-moving process despite the original's success. Made with a $6 million budget, it grossed $58 million worldwide, a major win for the relatively small production, so it's not a shocker that a sequel was eventually greenlit. However, the time has finally come for some progress, and another rising horror star has been added to the mix to lead the new Ready or Not alongside Samara Weaving.

Deadline reports that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Kathryn Newton has joined the cast of the Ready or Not sequel, which will once again feature Weaving in the lead role. No stranger to the genre, Newton reunites with Radio Silence after previously starring in 2024's Abigail.

Six years ago, genre regular Samara Weaving starred in a very cool horror comedy called Ready or Not, which was directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who went on to make the two most recent Scream sequels and the “Dracula’s daughter” movie Abigail. Deadline reports that the filmmaking team known as Radio Silence (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett) are teaming up with Paul Giamatti for a biopic about the late Art Bell. Best known as the founder and original host of Coast to Coast Am, Bell would field unscreened calls from all sorts of people, listening to stories of alien abduction, conspiracy theories, strange creatures, and just about everything you could imagine.

According to Deadline, several studios, including Universal, Amazon, and Warner Bros., are bidding on the Art Bell biopic. Sam Chalsen and Nelson Greaves are writing the script. This is a bit of a different project from the team that has given us Ready or Not, Abigail, and two Scream movies, but it has the potential to be quite interesting. A Ready or Not sequel has been confirmed with Samara Weaving and filmmakers Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin set to return. Following months of hopeful comments from Weaving and the filmmaking duo (who are known collectively as Radio Silence along with producer Chad Villella), the news was made official during a Ready or Not screening held by Searchlight Pictures in Hollywood on October 12 (via Deadline).
