I've watched Seasons 2 to 4 and 3 other seasons. I like Season 3; working all shifts (including the 1:00 am graveyard shift); traveling all across the country from California to the northeastern-most part of the US (where, if you make a wrong turn, you end up in Canada). If you'e binge watching, it's the best show (The Great Food Truck Race) from the food network. I've watched hundreds of tv shows and thousands of movies. It's a pretty great show.
They ruined a great show. Talented people lost and very untalented people lasted until the end. Won't watch another season of this. I guess I should have expected this in this day but very disappointing.
Season 15 with the drag queen. RIDICULOUS. AND they keep being moved on! Their food was horrible the first episode - they should have gone home then. Then down the road - they park where there was no business ... along comes Tyler telling them WHERE to move to get business. Nope. That's playing favorites ... and giving a team recommendations that are not fair. It up to the food truck participants to find a good parking spot. So rigged in favor of the drag queens. Pretty much done with this show.
I used to love GFTR - but this season is complete BS! I wouldn't assume many (if any) food trucks operate in WINTER in Alaska, so why send them there to do horrific tasks like cooking s'mores over an open fire. I'm done - will not be watching anymore episodes SMH.
It was a good show. Then apparently drama and rigging the game became more important-like with Khana. In previous seasons if a truck was down someone they had to stay that way, and if a truck made a bad decision then consequences came with it; was not only completely unfair but really sucky to promote that kind of behavior. Also, why just LA? The challenge was more exciting when it wasn't bound to the producer's home town. It meant that during the trips the team had to research the town, figure out local events and possible selling spots, along with looking at what was present and figure out how to make an appealing menu. This took real skill and determination. Please go for quality, real challenges, and kindness. The world is a hot mess enough as it is. Thanks!
