Mark Lee is perhaps most widely known as an actor for his portrayal of digger Archy Hamilton in the 1981 film Gallipoli. In 2002 Mark Lee began directing short films At The Edge of the Bed (co-producer/director), followed by El Burro (director) and Stranger so Familiar (writer/director). In 2005 he directed the feature film The Bet (Gerrycan Productions), which was released nationally in 2007. The Bet was voted Best Film at the 'Cinema Des Antipodes' - St Tropez in 2008.
