So I just finished watching the Martin reunion and all I will say that it was an amazing sit down of the iconic cast (RIP Tommy) after thirty years looking as good as they wanna look reminiscing on some of the most nostalgic moments from the show and the cameos of the some of the the guest were truly grand. Shout outs to Bruh man popping in as well. Fans will so enjoy this walk down legendary comedic memory lane. A great homage to Martin Lawrence and the entire cast. Martin, Tina, Pam, Cole, and the late Tommy..... job well done.
Martin was an iconic and hilarious show that helped define a generation of entertainment. Then it ended sooner than it should because of sexual harassment claims Tisha Campbell. Martin ended the show and went of to do great things. A few years ago Martin talked about it, calling it all lies. Tisha Campbell replied in a tweet saying the iconic line of her character, "You go boy!" And Martin was the bigger man allowing her to return for the reunion and probably made a huge deal with a streaming service which is a huge payday for all the actors. During the reunion show Tisha was really, really, really being a huge cheerleader for Martin. And Martin was just sitting there like the king he is. Goes to show you, time is your friend when something unjustified happens. Still, the reunion should have touched on it. That was probably the main reason most people watched it in the first place.
So this actually aired on BET last night, and I didn't have to have BET Plus in order to watch it, which I was very happy about because I was very angry about the fact that the reunion was exclusively made for BET Plus. I found that extremely pointless given the fact that they air Martin just about every day on the network itself. But the reunion was wonderful. I love the way they recreated the set. It looks almost exactly like it did on the show. It was great seeing Tisha Campbell, Tichina Arnold, Carl Anthony Payne, and of course the man himself, Martin Lawrence. I thought Affion Crockett did a good job hosting it also. He held it down well. It was such a treat hearing all of the inside details of what was like working on the show and seeing all of the guests that came through. And I absolutely love and respect how they honored the late Thomas Mikal Ford. I'm still thinking about it. I don't think much of BET these days at all. I only watch them when they're showing reruns of old shows that I like. But this was a real quality production.
Watching this Reunion Episode had me smiling, laughing, and crying. I was 5 years old when the show came out but this is legit my favorite sitcom ever. I have every dvd. I'm just so proud of the cast and how much influence the show still holds 30, yes 30 years later. Amazing energy and the set up was just too cute. Couldn't have asked for more. It was the live audience of course for me.

It was a great reunion and they all had mad love and respect for one another! We need a reboot even if it's just for one season, but I understand if there isn't a reboot because it won't be the same without Tommy. When the Martin show premiered, my husband and I fell in love with it instantly! Martin Lawrence is my husband's favorite comedian. I watched Martin religiously back then..now all we got to watch is "reality shows"
