Paul Dawson and Ramona Perez, a young couple from Boise, move to Portland, Oregon looking for a fresh start. Paul, a frustrated musician, having left his band mates in Idaho, quickly becomes introverted and moody. Meanwhile, Ramona is introduced, via a friend from college, to a new social circle, one that Paul prefers to avoid.
