With the Paramount+ prequel series “Dexter: Original Sin” going back in time to explore the formative experiences of 20-year-old avenging serial killer (Patrick Gibson), there’s a hope that it will help turn back the clock for the production community in Miami, which serves as the setting for both it and the original show, “Dexter” (2006-2013). Like its predecessor, “Dexter: Original Sin” does the bulk of its shooting in Los Angeles and Long Beach, but it’s still a good advertisement for what Miami has to offer producers.
“We wanted to get the full impact of the beauty and the texture and the architecture, the water and the atmosphere that is specific in Miami,” says Danielle Blumstein, co-head of production for Counterpart Studios, which produces the series with Showtime Studios. “We looked for locations that would help ground us and kind of celebrate that city.”

After our episodes were so rudely interrupted by a presidential address, we are back with Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 10.
So, was the wait worth it? We’ll get to that in a minute. First, we have a word from our sponsors, so to speak.
As this episode ends, we’re on the cusp of an epic One Chicago crossover. Love them or hate them, the next episode, at a special time, will be the first time such a crossover has occurred since 2019.
(Peter Gordon/NBC)
Yes, the next new Chicago Fire episode will be on at 8/7c, so be sure to do whatever you need to do, so don’t miss it. And if whatever happens propels you to Chicago Med and Chicago Pd, then that’s good for all of us!
Yeah, yeah, but what about “Chaos Theory”? I’m glad you asked. Let’s dig in.
Have We Still Got a Cruz Problem?...

Quick Links Who Is Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and What Is He Known For? Why Jeffrey Dean Morgan Almost Quit Acting Because of Star Trek
For six decades, the universe created by Gene Roddenberry has returned to television twice, as well as the feature film world. For many actors, an association with the USS Enterprise or the final frontier is somewhere between a dream come true to an opportunity for a bigger career. For actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, however, his appearance on Star Trek: Enterprise almost made him quit acting.
As the final series in the second wave, Star Trek: Enterprise was a prequel to Star Trek: The Original Series. While some actors, like Starfleet Academy's Paul Giamatti look forward to playing aliens, others do not. Its perhaps too early to say, but Tulsa King appears to be flowing through the same rivulet as Breaking Bad regarding critical and fan reception. The first season was good, but it didnt cause anyone to cancel a date. Season 2, on the other hand, has been excellent so far and currently boasts a flawless 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
This is hardly surprising, considering that the show has a wide variety of ingredients that make it tasty. It is produced by the great Taylor Sheridan and written by Terence Winter, who, throughout his long career, has been a magnificently sensitive observer of gangster dynamics. Besides that, the Season 2 cast has names like Frank Grillo and Neal McDonough, who all deliver vivid, well-rounded performances.
Tulsa King CrimeDrama Release Date November 11, 2022Cast Sylvester Stallone, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, Garrett Hedlund, Andrea Savage

The “Walking Dead” star will embark on his first unscripted project as he hosts and executive produces the reality adventure competition series, which marks the second collaboration between NBCUniversal and the BBC following “The Traitors.”
Originating from a format in Belgium, “Destination X” drops contestants in an unknown location and challenges them to figure out their mystery location via clues on their blacked-out Destination X bus. The game also throws a couple misdirects in there to keep contestants guessing.
“At the end of each episode, contestants must guess where they are and the furthest from the actual location is sent packing,” according to the official logline. The first participant to reach Destination X is crowned the winner.

Some of the best crime TV shows were canceled early, leaving fans frustrated with the lack of character and story development. Titles like Prodigal Son, The Enemy Within, Limitless, Jett, and Magic City had potential but fell short due to network issues or audience ratings. Critically acclaimed performances, dynamic relationships, and compelling storylines were cut short, leaving viewers disappointed with the abrupt endings.
Unfortunately, multiple crime TV shows were canceled far too soon. Some of the best TV shows of all time were included in the crime genre and were remembered for engaging viewers in stories about the dark underbelly of the criminal world, the law enforcement officers who strove to bring them to justice, and the loved ones who were dragged into the chaos. The best crime procedural TV shows typically ran for several seasons, but some titles werent lucky enough to achieve the same stretch. Despite being cut short,...

Danny Huston brings a new kind of villain to life in The Dead Don't Hurt, with a character that hides corruption behind a cheery exterior. The film, directed by Viggo Mortensen, features an ensemble cast including Huston, Mortensen, and Vicky Krieps, set in a small town in the outskirts of San Francisco. Huston discusses his role as Mayor Schiller, highlighting the non-chronological structure of the movie and the different approach it takes to the Western genre.

Drew Waters didn’t take the typical road to Hollywood. In fact, he joined the Navy just after high school. While in service, the striking Texas native was discovered by a modeling scout, eventually signed to an agency and went on to appear in campaigns for Versace, Hugo Boss and Ralph Lauren, among others. Waters, however, soon found his true passion in the entertainment industry. Friday Night Lights fans might recognize him as Coach Wade Aikmen, but Waters has amassed a variety of television and movie credits including NCIS: Los Angeles, The Resident, Magic City, Transformers: The Last Knight and Desperate Riders. Audiences can currently catch Waters on the HBO miniseries, Love & Death.

Earlier this year, The Vampire Diaries left its longtime home on Netflix and is now currently available to stream on Peacock. Although the NBC streaming service is still relatively new to the game, getting that series was a big move as it is one of the most iconic shows of the 2010s.
While those huge shows from the era are easy to pick out like Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Bates Motel, Peacock also offers up some great hidden gems. Those are the series from the decade that weren't watched all that much or were forgotten about but deserve more shine.
Mr. Mercedes (2017-2019)
There are so many Stephen King adaptations that are famous throughout history but he has written so much that it lines up that some have flown under the radar. Among them is Mr. Mercedes, which is a TV take on the Bill Hodges novels written by him.

Amanda Mackey, the casting director behind such films as Best Picture Oscar nominee The Fugitive and A League of Their Own and who earned an Emmy nom for The Normal Heart during a nearly four-decade career, has died. She was 70.
Her longtime friend and business partner Cathy Sandrich Gelfond told Deadline that Mackey died August 27 in her sleep of myelodysplastic syndrome, a form of blood cancer, at Calvary Hospital in Brooklyn.
“Amanda was a singular force — fiercely intelligent, impeccably stylish, wildly passionate about ideas, the state of the world and her work,” Sandrich Gelfond told Deadline. “She loved her daughters profoundly and was an unwaveringly steadfast friend and champion in a time when women weren’t as supportive to other women as they are now. She believed in me, lifted me up and gave me a career. She was the sister I never had and changed my life in countless ways.

Among the chrome skyscrapers and beckoning show lights in Downtown Miami stands The Freedom Tower, a government building with a distinctive Mediterranean flair that processed Cuban refugees who fled the nearby Caribbean nation to pass the time between Fidel Castro and democracy.
Cuban-born actor Yul Vázquez was one of those thousands of exiles who found themselves in that immigrant wave’s Ellis Island, waiting for rations of powdered milk, cans of Spam and surplus eggs, holding his mother’s hand next to his sister.
Everyone in that tower thought the situation was temporary. That was in 1971. Fifty years have passed, and Vázquez has kept himself occupied, amassing over 60 combined roles in movies, television and theater.
“People say to me, ‘Yul, you never stop working!’ I always tell people that I have that Cuban exile mentality,” he told Variety. “My mother got here with two kids that didn’t speak English,...
