Cordelia speaks to feisty butler Sheila Cannon, a woman that loves a drink, apparently, she explains who else in The Whitehouse enjoys a tipple. Sheila gives her sequence of events the night that A. B. Winter died, unfortunately her memories are contradicted by everyone.
Episode four, perhaps the best one so far, thoroughly enjoyable, quite amusing, definitely intriguing. We learn more about the crime, we learn more about our Detective.
Lovely detail once again, even the most insignificant of events seem to have a relevance, it's so well written.
I loved the buildup, the story of Cordelia, her nephew and the sock, it goes someway towards explaining Cordelia's methods, her powers of observation and logical approach to puzzles.
It's great the way they're choosing films as titles for episodes, if you haven't seen Last of Sheila, for my money it's one of the best whodunits of all time.
Edwina Findley was great as Sheila, she brought a bundle of energy and charisma, she's very entertaining.
8/10.
