Bill Skarsgård is making a big return to horror in 2024, and with these new projects, he will have played three iconic horror characters in just seven years. Bill Skarsgård’s acting career began in Sweden, with his big break in his home country being the comedy Simple Simon in 2010. Two years later, he made the jump to Hollywood with a minor role in Joe Wright’s Anna Karenina, and the following year, Skarsgård’s reign in the horror genre began when he was cast as Roman Godfrey in the Netflix TV show Hemlock Grove.

Paris and Los Angles-based Breakaway Media has kicked off Efm talks on Alison Eastwood’s gothic romance Battlecreek.

Anthea Anka wrote the screenplay about an ailing man whose protected life is shattered by the arrival of a young woman.

Bill Skarsgård, Paula Malcomson, Claire van der Boom, and Delroy Lindo star in the film, hot off its world premiere at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

“Alison Eastwood’s storytelling is poetic, and like her father [Clint], she is a visionary who will be making films for a very long time to come,” said head of sales Mark Austin.

Paul Jarrett is making his directorial debut with the semi-autobiographical film. Gina O'Brien wrote the script. The film also stars Scott Adsit, Joshua Boone, and Bill Sage. All Time Low will lend their music to the soundtrack and will appear as themselves. Jarrett, Nick Huston, and Adam Spielberg in association with Rosetta Films, Filament Productions and Literally Films are producing. O'Brien and Jonathan Gray are executive producing.
