If Jesse Stone 10 happens, then Kathy Baker's Rose Must return. While each Jesse Stone movie is designed to be somewhat standalone, they are best viewed in order. They all feature recurring characters and arcs, so it's just a richer experience to view them as a series. Now Blue Blues has ended talk of Jesse Stone 10 has become more concrete, with star Tom Selleck stating he'd love to return as the troubled Paradise police chief.
That said, it's been a decade since the last TV movie, Lost in Paradise, which was also notable for the absence of several familiar faces. Stephen McHattie's Captain Healy was missing for the first time - as was Kathy Baker's Rose. Following Viola Davis' Molly exiting Jesse Stone with the fourth movie Sea Change, Baker's Rose stepped in to take her place. Rose soon became one of Jesse's closest friends, and is one of...

Tom Selleck has big plans for Jesse Stone's future - but the tenth movie should wrap up the series. With Blue Bloods ending there is talk of Jesse Stone returning, with the most recent entry being 2015's Lost in Paradise. Selleck has fronted nine Jesse Stone movies thus far, and while he had planned to juggle the franchise with his Blue Bloods commitments, it didn't work out that way. With his schedule clearing up, Selleck has confirmed his interest in a Jesse return, also telling TV Insider that part ten "... wouldn’t be a final one because everybody loves it."
One issue with the next entry is that it's been a decade since Lost in Paradise. The passage of time means the next Jesse Stone can't just pick up from ongoing plot threads like previous sequels did, so the time gap will need to be addressed. It may also...

The ninth Jesse Stone movie reveals that the title character's best friend Reggie the Dog has passed away, which is even more tragic thanks to a behind-the-scenes story. Reggie appeared in seven of the nine Jesse Stone movies, with Tom Selleck's police chief adopting the golden retriever mix after he is found next to the body of his previous owner. The two developed a fascinatingly dysfunctional relationship, where they showed little affection for one another but were closely bonded anyway. This is what makes the reveal of Reggie's death in Lost in Paradise so moving.
In the opening scenes of the ninth film, Jesse stands by Reggie's grave and states ”It took so long to acknowledge a connection, admit there was a bond... Life plays tricks on you." While audiences had previously seen major characters like Viola Davis' Molly exit the Jesse Stone series, the loss of Reggie cut especially deep.

Zorro and Expats are the big shows coming to Prime Video in January. The former is what Amazon are calling a “bold reinterpretation” of the classic hero El Zorro for 2024. Starring Miguel Bernardeau as Diego de la Vega and Renata Notni as Lolita Marquez, it’s definitely an intriguing-sounding action-adventure series, with a ten-episode first season based on the iconic character originally created by Johnston McCulley all the way back in 1919.
Meanwhile, upcoming drama series Expats is based on the bestselling 2016 novel The Expatriates by Janice Y. K. Lee, and follows “the vibrant lives of a close-knit expatriate community” in Hong Kong. Nicole Kidman has been known for picking the right kind of shows to lead in the past, so let’s hope this is another banger for the actress, who is also on board as an executive producer here.
Here’s everything coming to Amazon Prime Video and Freevee this month.

Fiona Ziegler’s absurd comedy-road movie revolves around the clash between two worlds and “the grotesque charm of the bourgeoisie”. Czech-based Swiss filmmaker Fiona Ziegler, a Famu graduate, is presently shooting her debut feature, Lost in Paradise, which is expected to wrap on 8 August. Ziegler’s absurd comedy-road movie is the first-ever Czech-Swiss co-produced project, and is being shot in Prague and Bern. The story is described as revolving around the clash between two worlds, and the movie stars Swiss actor Dominique Jann as the protagonist, Evžen, and Czech actress Hana Vagnerová as his love interest. Evžen traded Switzerland for Prague, a city his father left in 1968, to live an independent, bohemian life running a music club called Venuše (Venus). His situation changes suddenly when a fire breaks out in the venue and he has to pay for the damage within a week to avoid eviction. In order to continue.
When Nicki Minaj released Queen on Friday, the album included a predictable cast of A-list guest vocalists — acts like Future, the Weeknd, Ariana Grande and Lil Wayne. But one singer on Queen is less well-known to American listeners: Labrinth, who co-wrote, co-produced and sang on “Majesty,” a schizophrenic, hard-hitting record with an astoundingly fast verse from Eminem.
Labrinth is a singer-songwriter-producer with a long resume that includes previous placements with Rihanna (“Lost in Paradise” from Unapologetic), the Weeknd (“Stargirl Interlude” from Starboy) and Ed Sheeran (“Save Myself” from ÷). In the U.
