Some of the scrooges reviewing this movie shouldn't be watching happy cheesy Christmas movies if that's not what they're into. Just like I shouldn't review a Sci-Fi movie I know I'm not going to enjoy.
A few other Christmas movies I watched were cringeworthy and seemed to have a really cheap budget, but I thought this one was much better. I liked the storyline and also the main characters. I don't typically leave reviews, but I thought it deserves a higher rating than what it has. You can guess what happens here, but I thought it was well executed and liked watching the story unfold. If you're into Christmas movies it's a good one!

What rom com Christmas movie isn't cheesy? But it had it's moments, many comical ones. I found it entertaining enough, though I wouldn't go out of my way to watch again anytime soon. It is, however, better than most hallmark movies these days.
Kalen was hilarious, as usual. Loved his character.
The storyline was predictable, but most rom cons are.
Loved Pentatonix in it. They even had comical moments.
I'm not all that familiar with the other actors/actresses involved but they did ok. I didn't think it was bad acting, just typical storyline.
Give it a watch, decide for yourself. If nothing else, it kills some time, or would be great background noise.

Yes, you can predict the twists and turns of this love story from a mile away-but isn't that exactly why we adore Christmas movies? The dramatic, over-the-top magic of holiday miracles is what makes them so endearing!
Christmas romance is Christina Milian's genre. In this movie, she takes us on a delightful Christmas escape to find the potential love of your life you crossed paths with a year ago. It's unlikely, but that's the magic of Christmas!
Adding the Pentatonix was the perfect touch to infuse us all with the holiday spirit! This easy-going Netflix original gave me all the cozy vibes I needed. Plus, I loved seeing the Black love interest bringing even more warmth to the story!
Overall, I'd say it's a solid 3 star out of 5-perfect for anyone wanting to kick back, relax, and believe in a little holiday magic!

The plot is interesting and the movie could have a lot more potential if the plot was told better is some parts. Especially in the beginning of the movie a lot of things seems to be rushed
I wish we could learn more about the characters, especially Layla, so we could relate to and understand her more.
I liked Layla and Teddy together, their chemistry was cute and i liked the way they got to know each other and how their relationship was built.
Overall it was a sweet Christmas movie that we all know how it will end with good actors, one of those movies you watch when you get home after a busy day to relax.

If you have never heard of Pentatonix, you will by the end of the show. Actually, Pentatonix is a singing group from Arlington, TX. They were on a show called the Sing off and have been recording ever since. This movie features two actors that I'm very familiar with. One is Christina Milian. I love how she has turned into this Hallmark Christmas movie specialist. She is more versatile than that, but she has found a niche that works for her and I love that for her. The movie is somewhat predictable. It lacks some of the wit and punchlines that could have made it more memorable, but overall Christmas time is hear and I didn't hear Mariah Carey once in this movie because again, have you heard of pentatonix? I gave this movie a 7 strictly off my respect and appreciation for Christina Milian, been a fan a long time.
Honestly I'm confused by some of the reviews. I just watched 4 Christmas love stories in a row and this one was less cheesy than those ones. Sure it's a hallmark meets jingle all the way type feel but I thought it was overall a cute message. Adding pentatonix was awesome for me, but if anything they were a bit cheesy and awkward at moments. Still fun to have their songs play in the background and the ending was cool. She was set on how the universe works, ive met girls just like this. So the writing didn't bother me much. I've met many a crazies. He was a man that went above and beyond while catching some feelings. Really not as bad of writing as some of the comments I read. I liked it enough to want to watch it again someday. Maybe I'll change my mind. It helped that I saw some pretty awful writing before this movie.
I watched this on Netflix.

I love a corny Christmas movie. In fact I look forward to November every year so I can binge on tv Christmas movies that I've never heard of before in my life.
But this one isn't just corny it's juuuuuust exhausting.
Could have been a cute story but the constant weird characters just put me so off the story.
Lead actors are cute but just weird and I spent scene after scene questioning who put this cast together.
The cousin was quite funny and I think I would have enjoyed that scene but it came quite far into the movie so instead of finding it humorous I was quite annoyed by it by that stage. As far as Christmas movies go this would be at the bottom of my watch list. Unless you're super keen on weird I'd keep scrolling.
My question is how many people that watch these types of Christmas movies want that weird element??? What's the target here. I'm so confused lol.

I was browsing all the streaming services for a movie to watch when this one caught my eye. Immediately after watching the trailer, I wanted to watch this movie. However, I didn't have very high hopes for it. In the end, I would say it only slightly exceeded expectations.
The only thing I'll say, that may spoil the movie slightly, is that I should've been more aware at the beginning. The ending was not what I was expecting until about halfway through the film.
While "Meet Me Next Christmas" isn't super unique in its storytelling, it's the chemistry of the actors and characters that make it an enticing watch. Christina Milian and Devale Ellis bond very really well together in the pursuit of a non-existent Pentatonix ticket. There's a fun bond between the two that makes you cheer them on as they seek that ticket.
There's a humanity to the story. It goes beyond a love story, but includes an emotional connection between strangers. It's the Christmas spirit that really gets it going. Plus, Pentatonix for me has always been associated with Christmas because that's the type of songs I first heard when I was introduced to them.
Overall, I really enjoyed this movie and I would definitely watch it again. I enjoyed the love and human connections. While it's not super Christmas-y in its storytelling, for some like me, it may get you into that Christmas type of feel. It's a cute romcom with great chemistry between the leads, and while it has aome parts that are weird, they eventually make the film work. The end end overall is that it may seem cheesy to some, to others I do believe you'll have fun with it.
That's it for now. Thanks for taking time to read my review. Happy watching and enjoy the show!

I really don't know if us viewers deserved this kind of content ourselves since someone's producing and spending real money on this low quality, absolutely meaningless content, but it's truly deeply sad we are offered to watch this instead of something talented and interesting. I get it - it's a holiday movie, it's supposed to be light and romantic, but this one is beyond dumb, unrealistic and annoying. Incredible waste of time! Dumb idea, terrible writing, that makes it so awkward and uncomfortable to watch! I feel brain dead after watching 20 minutes. Do yourself a favor and avoid unless you want to feel the same way:)

What more can you want from a Xmas feel good movie, it made me laugh, few tears and felt good for watching it. It's a good Christmas film, acting is good, characters were ok. My kids loved it and I'd watch it again year after year as it's better than a lot of Xmas films I've seen in the past. Yes it had a few bits that aren't believable but who cares, it was easy to watch. The ending was quite predictable but felt good to see and a feel good movie is all about feeling good which is what it done for me. I now love the pentatonix and will be playing them all Christmas. I will be watching this again before Xmas comes around.

It is not as cheesy as many other Christmas movies. There were many elements I really liked, such as the music, the funny characters, and I love a quest that makes them wander all over town. There's actually a lot of good parts, but I was just confused by some of it. Does Roxy live in Chicago or NYC? It seems like they are at her apartment eating food in NYC. The restaurant he worked at, was that in Chicago or NYC? Also, I didn't like the song they danced to, musically speaking. However, much of the movie seems realistic. Just perhaps a little rushed sometimes? In the beginning, they could have shown quickly that a year had passed. I love the cast, especially Nikki Duval. Go ahead and watch it, but don't expect it to change your whole life. It's a comfort movie, which was probably the point. They can't all be Forrest Gump.
I'm not usually one for cheesy Christmas movies, and honest to god I was only here to see Pentatonix. First things first. Pentatonix are not those divas that they portrayed on screen. LOL Second, the most unrealistic thing about this movie is the small venue that Pentatonix was playing. For the Christmas tours they fill 11,000 to 13,000 seat arenas. OK about the movie. It was cute. I was rooting for the two main characters, and they were both likable enough. It was extremely predictable, but that's pretty much what you get with a Christmas love story. Overall I enjoyed it...and then will promptly forget about it.

Don't waste your time. The trailer had an interesting premise, didn't make much sense but.. could work. I doesn't. The actors and story itself didn't pull it off. The photography is ok, but at the end of the day is irritating how in 2024 they are still making bland movies. I feel it's better to re watch something that you know it's good than to watch this piece of waste of time. Direction and music also bland. I'm not ok with meh art, this is what this is. Unfortenally for those who would like a good rom com in the Christmas time, this is NOT it. Should have just be reading or watch a good series..

Overall: 7.72 rounds to an 8/10
Quick thoughts: The outfits starred, especially Layla & Teddy's lip-syncing contest tandem! I appreciated how the soundtrack slowly grew into the movie. Both Christina Milian and Devale Ellis nailed their respective roles, the professional divide kept the banter dry. Plus, I would love to run around a city doing side quests as an unknowing first date! The sets were the perfect pinch of Hallmark with a splash high-quality production to fulfill my holiday movie wishes. This silly rom-com will certainly be under my Christmas Tree this year!

That was awful. I truly wanted to get the movie over-with it was that bad. The plot was predictable, the writing was corny and cringe and frustrating... the directing was all over the place. The lead actors were lovely and very talented; but everything else was terrible. I didn't feel the growth in their feelings, no depth in the writing. Some of the lines were so cringe I genuinely felt pain. Pentatonix is one of my favorite musical groups, before Avi left honestly, but the way they depicted themselves as absolute fools... was the worst. Like why did they have to seem like they were just egocentric self centered people? It was awful. Ugh! I wish I could give negative stars. Send help.

This COULD have been good, it SHOULD have been good as the ingredients were there but it just didn't happen.
I only got half way through and... sorry but a bunch of drag queens battling it out being "all that" doesn't resonate with the idea of a Christmas live story.
The acting is rather pitiful and exaggerated but that's not altogether uncommon for Christmas rom coms so that in itself isn't the main reason not to watch this.
The plot is quite light and it just goes on and on never really achieving momentum.
There is some heart here and the main make character is definitely more than enjoyable to watch but it's just not enough.
Save yourself the time and effort.

This starts off really well with some really likeable characters who have great chemistry.
There is a clear target - to get a ticket for the concert so the two hotties can hook up, whilst the "other guy" simmers in the background.
The problem is this just gets too silly.
The impossible-to-get tickets pop up all over the show, offered out by ridiculous characters in exchange for some moronic fetch-quest that never quite get completed.
Then its on to the next one...
This film is only about 100 minutes long but feel much, much longer.
Everybody knows how this film is going to end: predictability is perfectly fine in a rom-com.
But the length this was drawn out left me feeling quite numb by the end.
Not an awful film but there is so much better out there.
If you have a full tum and want something to drift off to then this is a contender.
