Tom Holland’s Spidey will be swinging back onto screens this December for the highly anticipated Spider-Man 3, and the rumor mill has been spinning for a while that the actor will be in illustrious company. We know that Jamie Foxx is on board as Electro and Alfred Molina is reprising the role of Doctor Octopus, but what everyone really wants to find out is whether the rumors of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire returning are true.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige gave a tantalizing nod towards this in a new interview, saying:

“The fun thing about online speculation when it comes to our stuff is how sometimes it couldn’t be more off the mark and sometimes it’s shockingly close, and that’s held true for the last few years. But saying which is which would take all the fun out of everything.”

So, as expected, he’s staying tight-lipped.

There’s so little that we know for sure about Spider-Man 3 at this stage, other than what we can infer from the end of Far From Home, which saw Peter Parker publicly exposed as the wall-crawler as well as accused of murder. One thing we’re pretty confident about, though, is that the threequel will continue the naming convention started by Homecoming of having the word “Home” somewhere in the title.

Various titles have been suggested by fans, including Home Run and Home Invasion, but maybe the title has actually already been subtly revealed and we all missed it. Murphy’s Multiverse has pointed out that both Esquire and Maxim have Spidey 3 listed as Spider-Man: Homesick on their sites’ respective upcoming comic book movie pages. Furthermore, the outlet’s Charles Murphy writes that he’s done some digging around and may have discovered where they got word of this title from.

People that didn’t stick around during the credits of Spider-Man: Far From Home wouldn’t even have realized that Peter Parker had his secret identity revealed to the world by J.K. Simmons’ surprise cameo as J. Jonah Jameson until much later, but it will nonetheless act as the driving force behind the plot of the web-slinger’s third solo adventure.

While story details about the delayed sequel remain vague, fans seem convinced that the movie will be titled Home Run based on what we know so far, with Spider-Man attempting to evade the authorities also presenting the ideal opportunity to introduce heavily-rumored villain Kraven the Hunter into the mix.

Of course, with this being the McU, there are also bound to be other characters after him as well, and we’ve now heard from our sources – the same ones who told us that Netflix is doing an Extraction...

When Marvel Studios announced their huge rescheduling of Phase Four due to the uncertainty created by the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, Spider-Man 3 was conspicuous by its absence. The third solo outing for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker currently remains set for July 2021, although that could well be subject to change, with shooting still tentatively slated to begin in July of this year.

For a high-profile project that’s reportedly less than three months away from getting underway, we haven’t heard even the slightest hint of plot details, or any new additions to the cast, which is strange for a big budget McU sequel. Not to mention that Far From Home ended on the cliffhanger that Spidey’s secret identity had been revealed to the world, which is presumably going to act as the driving force of the plot.

We’re still a year away from the slated 2021 release of Spider-Man 3, which is why all we know about the movie is what we’ve heard from rumors and tidbits of information that find their way online. Speaking of which, some new hearsay says that the title of the film will actually incorporate “Home” into it, much like the first two entries.

After a short hiatus as a result of Disney and Sony falling out, Tom Holland’s friendly neighborhood Spidey managed to break the curse on Spider-Man threequels and continue production unabated. Alas, with the novel coronavirus pandemic sweeping through the world, Marvel has postponed the release date of all Phase 4 movies and shut down filming on even their new Disney+ series like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

That's a wrap! Star Michael Gross has revealed that Tremors 7 has finished filming. The seventh installment of the long-running creature-filled franchise had been shooting in Thailand but now it's in the books, which means we're poised to see some new Graboid action coming our way in 2020. In addition to revealing that filming has wrapped up, Gross also shared a final set photo.

Michael Gross shared the update to his Facebook page. The photo features the actor, who plays the gun-loving Burt Gummer, a role he's played since the original was released in 1990. The photo sees Gross gathered together with many of his fellow cast members, including Napoleon Dynamite star Jon Heder, who is getting in on the action this time around. Over the weekend, Jordan Peele's horror thriller Get Out leapt past The Blair Witch Project (1999) to become the highest-grossing film in United States history based on an original screenplay and helmed by a first-time director.

The demolition of this nearly 20-year record marks what could be a new era in Hollywood, where the box office potential of modestly budgeted original films made by black writer-directors is no longer up for debate.

Get Out was made for $4.6 million, but has made back over 30 times that amount — more than $150 million — at the domestic box office so far, reports Forbes. The film tells the story of Chris (Daniel Kaluuya), a black photographer who finds himself confronted by sinister goings-on when he visits his white girlfriend Rose's (Allison Williams) parents one weekend.

Whenever a collection of classic games is released, I always find myself picking it up. Despite not usually having nostalgia for these retro packages (as my first console was the Genesis), I enjoy learning more about the medium that I love, and they’re typically a good way to experience games that I missed out on. Many shows live and die by their main character’s ability to make you stop caring about anything else that might be sub-par. You may need a semblance of general story, depending on how hard you push the episodic nature of the show, but if you have the right lead, you only need above-average plot lines to keep people in their seats.

Stitchers has a lot in common with House M.D. in this regard. The cases were often intriguing, and though the perpetual doubt of House’s abilities grew tiring, the overall arc was pretty good. Still, Hugh Laurie made the show.

The plot of Stitchers is a “sci-fi fun” one, which for ABC Family means it balances the “need to know” with the “just play along,” and it doesn’t overwork the complexities of things, nor does it talk down to the audience… much. It’s solid, though perhaps...

I hope you’re watching Undateable, because the show is still one of the best times on television, and I think it’s getting even better as the new season progresses.

The addition of Good Luck Charlie‘s Bridgit Mendler was a great move, and she has, so far, been phenomenal on the show. She’s just the right mix of character that slips into the overall structure of the cast, and that’s a tricky thing to pull off.

Friday Am Update: From shows beginning at 8 p.m., Ouija opened to an estimated $911,000 from 2,061 theaters last night. Even with another flood of specialty film debuts, The Skeleton Twins, the dramedy starring Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader, had another impressive box office showing in its third weekend. Meanwhile, another dozen films tried to elbow past last week’s 14 newcomers and numerous others already in the market, to middling success among those reporting.

Other than Twins, the holdovers that look like they’re gaining some autumnal momentum include IFC Films‘ The Trip To Italy with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon, and more niche-oriented films such as American Experience/PBS Films’ doc Last Days In Vietnam and Oscilloscope’s Art And Craft. Starz Media also scored a robust gross for the second week of Not Cool, featuring YouTube star Shane Dawson, as it migrated east to New York and was also profiled on a Starz channel doc series.

CBS Films’ Pride can be proud of scoring the weekend’s highest average among new titles.

Music is at the core of two new Specialty features making their theatrical bows this weekend, albeit from rather different ends of the spectrum. XLrator Media will open Jimi: All Is By My Side focusing on the artist’s life in London in nearly three dozen theaters, while Samuel Goldwyn Films will bow faith-centered The Song in over 300 theaters, the biggest number of runs for a limited release newcomer this week. In the realm of inspirational sports movies, Home Run doesn’t quite fit in. It doesn’t hinge on the underdog team winning a trophy but instead focuses on one disgraced sportsman overcoming addiction. It’s meant to be an uplifting and spiritual film (which it is), yet it does so without completely descending into Christian propaganda that makes similarly-minded films so heavy-handed (like October Baby).

Baseball super star Cory Brand (Scott Elrod) is a belligerent alcoholic. After getting mightily aggressive on the field, going so far as to minorly assault the batboy, he’s suspended from the team. His sassy manager Helene (Vivica A. Fox) does some damage control and sends him to a rehab program in his hometown and forces him to coach a little league team. Why We're In: Whedon's "Much Ado About Nothing" is a refreshing and charming take on the classic comedy for its unique blending of the Shakespearian dialogue with a contemporary setting and aesthetic. While it sticks to the original content and doesn't add anything wholly revolutionary, it's nonetheless an entertaining addition to the canon of Shakespeare film adaptations.

Soderbergh will have dinner and attend a Knicks basketball game with Lee, while his money goes towards the director's crowdsourced film project

Steven Soderbergh has given $10,000 (£6,500) to Spike Lee's Kickstarter campaign.

According to the terms of Lee's Kickstarter, the donation entitles Soderbergh to dinner with the Do The Right Thing film-maker and the hire of Lee's wife Tonya's seat next to the director at a Knicks game.

"I'm taking him to dinner and we're going to the game together," Lee – a vocal fan of the New York basketball team – told MTV's NextMovie blog. "I don't even know if he likes sports! So I'm gonna pick the game for him. But I'm giving a huge shout-out to my man Steven Soderbergh for the support, and I'm really humbled with Steven coming on board and doing that."

Lee's Kickstarter was launched on 23 July and has reached just under 10% of his $1,250,000 goal.

As of this posting, Spike Lee's mysterious Kickstarter project has earned $100,726 of its $1,250,000 goal in just over 24 hours.

Of that total, three people have pledged $10,000 or more to Lee's film, meaning they're entitled to dinner with the director as well as the chance to sit courtside with him at a 2013-2014 New York Knicks game in Madison Square Garden. As Lee told NextMovie in an exclusive interview on Tuesday, one of those donors was director Steven Soderbergh.

"I'm taking him to dinner and we're going to the game together," Lee told NextMovie, before adding that he doesn't even know if Soderbergh likes sports. "I'm giving a huge shout-out to my man Steven Soderbergh for the support and I'm really humbled with Steven coming on board and doing that," Lee said. "Thank you, Steven."

Director Spike Lee has announced a Kickstarter campaign for his next directorial effort, a feature about "human beings who are addicted to blood." (It's not "Blacula," Lee wrote on the Kickstarter page). Added the director: "There's a lot of sex in it too."

In the video accompanying the announcement, Lee cited the recent Kickstarter wins by "Veronica Mars" and Zach Braff as just some of the reasons why he came to the crowd-funding website for support. It's finally happening, "Arrested Development" fans. After seven years (and what's felt like a lifetime), Season 4 of the fan favorite comedy has finally arrived, and we couldn't be more excited. That's why we here at Zap2it couldn't wait a minute longer than necessary to watch the show's 15 new episodes.

Sure, series creator Mitch Hurwitz suggested against marathoning the new season, but what does he know? We decided to watch Season 4 in one sitting starting when it premiered at 12:01 a.m. Pt on May 26 because we already waited long enough for it, and we welcome you to check out our thoughts. Looking at the top ten, it turns out I'm not the only one who can't resist Tom Cruise on the screen. The man can do (almost) no wrong when it comes to opening a film at #1, his star power having endured many couch-jumpings, turbulent relationships, rock musical failures and all sorts of other crazy stuff. Oblivion's 38 million dollar gross isn't stellar but it's good enough to put the film on course to easily make its budget back. Ooh, what's that you say? International sales? Well, yes, considering that, Oblivion has already grossed more than its production budget, so we'll count it as a solid success.

Youssef Delara and Michael D. Olmos' "Filly Brown" and David Boyd's "Home Run" each scored this weekend with semi-limited debuts. Both films ended up in the overall top 15 with screen counts under 500, grossing $1.3 million and $1.6 million, respectively. "Brown" -- which Indomina bought back at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival before partnering with Pantelion (a division of Lionsgate) for the release -- debuted on 188 screens. Starring Gina Rodriguez and recently deceased Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera (who died in a plane crash this past December), the film managed an impressive $1,363,000 gross, averaging $7,250. Its the final film released (at least in part) by Indomina, which announced it will cease North American distribution earlier this year. “It’s a strong opening that focused on the core Latino audience.
