    4.6 why?

Not sure who are those 1100 people who rated this movie 10, but obviously they have no taste in movies. The movie is below average at best!

The dialogs seem like they were dubbed but it's not dubbed, the acting is terrible. Everyone keeps stating the obvious, every minute there's something cringe going on.

The actors seem like they were going to acting school and they were casted to act in the movie on the first day itself. Funny thing is, they are giving acting lessons in the movie. I couldn't go through it beyond 15 minutes, I tried to give it a chance but the more I watched, the more I felt like throwing up!

Great indie film I want a prequel

Without giving any spoilers let me just say I did not expect the ending at all. The movie is a cool little indie thriller that mostly takes place at night. Rick the main character is a wanna be actor who begins delivering pizza for extra money. Along the way he comes across a man who is dying and needs his help. This leads Rick to opening a safe where there's a ringing phone, from there the game "for the lack of better words" begins. It's an original film that's kind of reminiscent of Death Note in some ways.

After watching the movie it makes me think more about a prequel. I also wonder how the movie would turn out if it had a bigger budget.

    Quirky and fun

Pizza Boy Rick is that kind of film that work like a charm. Especially if you like off beat indie thrillers.

Set in the dark corners of Atlanta, Pizza Boy Rick trails a wannabe actor turned delivery driver who stumbles upon a dying man.

Watching this as a woman, I felt like I was peeking into the soft, bruised heart of someone who never learned how to ask for love directly. He's emotionless and weird.

The film reminds me of the off beat early 2000s movies, and lingering close-ups on forgotten things it just exists, with all its weirdness laid bare.

And the dialogue? No long stupid monologues or grand revelations just small, raw exchanges that say everything in a look or a silence. Rick talks to a bathroom mirror , listens to a bizarre acting coach on his radio and fights his brother in a garage. It's weird you can tell it's indie.

The lead actor, who genuinely might be Rick, carries the film like he's holding onto a secret the whole time. His vulnerability is awkward, messy, and absolutely perfect.

And then there's the soundtrack. God, the soundtrack. Takes me back to the late 80s early 90s. It's not a Hollywood production it's a late night zine turned into film. Watch it. Feel it. Then go make your own weird, wonderful masterpiece.

A slice of true indie gold

Every now and then, an indie film drops like a secret mixtape unexpected, a little rough around the edges, but bursting with flavor. Pizza Boy Rick is that kind of film. A grease stained weird and quirky drama thriller that blends absurdity with aching sincerity and somehow makes it all work like magic (ending).

Set in the streets of Atlanta, Pizza Boy Rick follows a wannabe actor/delivery driver with a heart too big for his crusty world. Armed with a GR86, a bag of hot pies, and a dream to find his emotions through unorthodox methods he's quietly delivering emotions through sourdough.

What sets Pizza Boy Rick apart is its fearless originality. The dialogue is delightfully strange and simple. The visuals are soaked in lo-fi charm, with handheld shots, freeze-frames, and awkward close-ups that make you feel like you're flipping through an old photo album. Every frame feels intentional, but never pretentious.

The performances are as indie as it gets in the best way possible. The lead actor, whose real name we suspect might actually be Rick, carries the film with a mix of awkward charisma and deep emotional intelligence. His chemistry with the supporting cast especially his bathroom mirror feels improvised, raw, and weirdly real.

And don't even get me started on the soundtrack. A mix of dusty cassette demos, synth waves, garage punk, and vaporwave jazz that somehow fits perfectly. It's not just background music it is the mood.

But beneath all the quirk and stylized chaos, Pizza Boy Rick has a beating heart.

This isn't your polished Hollywood flick. It's a zine turned into a movie. A love letter to misfits, night owls, and anyone who's ever felt like the side character in their own story.

Pizza Boy Rick doesn't just deliver pizza-it delivers soul. And that's something worth tipping extra for.

Watch it. Feel it. Then go make your own weird masterpiece.

    Honest review of this film

I feel this needs a honest review because of the outrageous review botting for higher ratings.

Im not going to spoil the plot, but the premise is actually decent, the execution however was horrendous the first 30 minutes of the movie is "rick" getting acquainted wth the pizza shop and acting class, given its suppose to be a thriller, 30 minutes for the main plot to begin is anything but. Luka Dingess, Nathan Loughman, and jason parks camerawork was outstanding, loved it. As for Jasons performance on the other hand?

Yikes, im not one to critisise actors on low budget films because they're usually new to the craft, but jason is experienced and was nothing short of outrageous, he tries a jason stathem esc "chill" vibe, but it comes out clunky and bordaline no emotion, and whilst its understanding when his character is acting in scenes or in situations which requires him to put his "acting classes" to the test, its not understandable when ricks in moments of crisis. Theres a specific scene where someone is shot and whilst the woman alongside him is crying and screaming, kudos to the actress (Chryseis Dawn Patterson) by the way, at least tried to put effort in, Jason has zero suprise or reassurance in his voice, its as expressive as a plank, which put me off the rest of the movie, I will say, most of the rest of the cast did a good job, in particular the people in his acting class, probably the only time i laughed, throughout the entire movie exellent casting choice.

In short, whilst the premise is good, and the cast mainly did a good job, jasons acting and the lack of pacing and "thrill" means that this is probably a skip for the most part.
