Juicy Affair

Being the hottest thing in your neighbourhood since the invention of sliced bread is a rather pleasant problem to have. Especially when your wife has turned cold and you suddenly have spades of free time.

Now you wouldn't be wrong if you thought this premise sounded like a daytime TV melodrama, because it almost is. I say almost because Juicy Affair is fully aware as to just how silly it really is and exaggerates the situations into outright comedy - with an extra helping of overacting. Needless to say that the healthy dose of sex and nudity helps this one plod along quickly.

This movie really is a bit of a guilty pleasure. Featuring a very attractive cast and a great deal of harmless fun.

This kind of reverses the role - a man being the object of desire for a few women who are clearly (sexually) frustrated. No pun intended. And they find a neighbor who ticks all the boxes - and has a girlfriend who seems more engaged with her career rather than the relationship she (still) has.

Cue: a lot of nudity and quite some adultery. It starts innocently enough, but gets quite crazy, especially when it comes to organisation and who has what time slot. No pun intended.

You could attribute a social commentary to the movie. Unfortunately the acting is not always up to a higher standard. Even though it is meant to be silly most of the time, the tone is not met ... at least not satisfactory (again no pun intended). I reckon there are better movies to watch than this - on the other hand, there are also worse. Depending on your moral compass and what you actually want to wach ... well decision is yours.
