All the songs are terrible, the host is dull and like an animatronic, full of unfunny slapstick. Such a waste of taxpayer money. Literally anything would be better to fill in an hour on channel 1. Its so crap i generally think the audience is being payed to be there.

Not really sure what all the hate is about to be honest. It's Saturday night entertainment and it entertains. Lots of fun rounds, music and a bit of comedy, better than a lot of other things on telly at the moment. Me and the wife are enjoying it anyway, good family entertainment on a Saturday night.
Maybe some people are affected by the fact this is a British version of a US show. Being from the UK myself I would obviously much rather watch this than the US one, I haven't seen the original but I can imagine how much more cringey and false everyone would seem.
Personally I don't think it deserves the hate, I was actually quite surprised by the lack of good reviews.

Mo Gilligan should really stick to comedy, rather than than trying to impress Z-list American celebrities. The format does not work for the British viewers, when its filmed with US celebrities and a US audience. Mo's persona is awful, constantly baiting the crowd to cheer for no real point. Lets hope the BBC does not re-commission.
While the Jimmy Fallon version is cheesy, Jimmy's personable charm and the celebrities make it engaging to watch, but this did not re-create. The only upside was the house band which were incredible musicians, the rest did not make up for it. Treat yourself to an hour of silence with the TV off.

Show is a conglomeration of other traditional Saturday night television tropes.
Celebs, singing, comedy, live audience, popular media, and why not chuck a live band whilst you're there.
I feel like Mo carried the first episode, supported by Alesha from time to time, and the incredible live band. Because of this, I feel Mo should be more selective with the work he accepts because he's super talented and charismatic, perhaps should lend his presence to show with more direction.
Production quality doesn't always equal a great show, and That's My Jam is a great example of this. Won't be tuning in for episode 2, and once again think Mo should be more selective going forward..
(I say all this as an armchair critic lol)

Seriously bad, possibly one of the worst pieces of television. The BBC really has reached new lows with this one. In fact it's so bad, it makes ITV look good. Just stop, please take this off the air right now!!! I'm struggling to find 600 characters to write this review... bad, sad, crap, useless, mind numbingly stupid, irritating, annoying, and this was just after one episode. These young folk have no personality, no intelligence, no charisma, uniqueness, nerve or talent. I was gobsmacked on tonight's episode to see Salt N Pepper being dragged into it too. Oh and the theme tune is terrible. DOA. OVER.
