The first piece of music that Nella listens to on on the subway is the 1998 song "Gimme Some More" by Busta Rhymes. This song famously sampled some tension-filled violin riffs from Bernard Herrmann's score to Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 horror classic Psycho. This music quickly signals that this will be a story that tips toward the horror genre, told through a Black lens.

One of the best tv series in the last 10 years

Very entertaining, and there was a lot of suspense. Every character was different, many layers. Actress 'Hazel' - great actress, deserve roles in theatres in blockbusters. I liked every other role too, hovewer white males was... kinda boring and not there. I liked the plot and I am glad we have an ending without cliffanger. My only regret - episodes are to short. I prefer 5x 50 minutes instead 10 x 20 minutes.

Show is fresh, original. I reccomend it to everybody. Taking 2 stars for episodes length and nose rings - I dont like to watch them on anybody. But earrings was so beautiful, every women had amazing earings. Costumes was also good.
