I had no expectations from this show and didn't even know what it was about. The only thing that made me want to watch it was that I never miss any Apple Plus comedy shows. I like so many of them, like Trying, Dickinson, Platonic, Mythic Quest, etc. The story is interesting, and the cast is amazing, especially the lead actress. The show gave me a bit of a vibe of Bless This Mess and Schitt's Creek.

After such a long time, I saw a family drama this good! Even though the episodes are about 45 minutes long, they didn't feel stretched. I do think more episodes of 30 minutes would have been better. I've been wanting to watch a good Spanish drama, and I think this show is a good start for me.

When I started this show, I thought it was an English-language show with a few Spanish dialogues. But when I watched the first and second episodes, I found that many of the show's dialogues are in Spanish. Then I watched the third episode, which was almost entirely in Spanish, and the remaining episodes were also mostly in Spanish. This is the first show I've watched in a different language, fully dependent on subtitles. But I didn't mind because the episodes were fun to watch, and the cast was likable. The title didn't make sense to me at first, but they revealed in the third episode why the show's called "Land of Women."

Overall, this show has the right amount of comedy, romantic tension, and drama, making it an entertaining watch. It definitely deserves hype as it is one of the best family drama shows of 2024 and should be renewed for a second season, especially after that super fun finale and ending. This is a comedy show, so if you don't think too much logically, you will definitely love it! A must-watch!

I bet this was supposed to be a TV movie that they stretched to the maximum, filling the void with utterly useless scenes (you spot those a mile away).

From mediocre TV movie to boring mini series. Why label this season 1, the story doesn't call for a follow-up, it's already a huge waste of time (edit: I have now watched the ending, it's even worse, and comes out of nowhere, like a last minute addition).

Carmen Maura was the only good surprise, very sweet character, and I kept watching til the end just for her.

Please stop stealing TV movie ideas to artificially create such long boring episodes. I've already seen too many of those.

Watched the first two episodes this week and both my husband and I are loving it. It's light, funny, clever and has gorgeous scenery. And having the show be in both English and (primarily) Spanish gives it real sense of authenticity. And I'm confused about the viewers who have a problem with the language choices, since Apple has been advertising this as a bilingual show from the beginning.

The cast are all great, Eva Longoria is as entertaining as ever and Santiago Cabrera is always a delight to watch in anything.

I had high hopes for this show but was sadly disappointed. The lead character gets herself into too many bad situations and a lot of.them are due to her having no common sense and just being careless. Plus all of a sudden they were all speaking Spanish with no option for English. I clicked on the audio which said English, but it was still Spanish. They are all fighting against each other, so rather than it making you laugh, you're stressed out the entire show. The show just seems chaotic and it's poorly written. Actresses are fine, but the script just induces anxiety. Grandma, Daughter and granddaughter all seem like selfish, shallow characters.

Great summer serie to watch that is full of events and twists. Flasbacks from the past also keeps the story refreshing. However that was not my original thought when I started to wacth it (almost gave up after episode 2), but as the story moves ahead things start happening it turns out the story moves ahead rapidly. Nice that the events takes place in Europe. Bit too short season though, hopefully the season 2 is coming soon since the last episode of the season endend on a place where I would have like to continue to watch the next episode immediately. Bit different and refreshing serie to watch.

Shallow and superficial. No depth of any kind. It is so light that become terrible boring. Is like have been done for 5 years old children. There is no comparison between this one and desperate housewives. I don't believe that something/ someone can save it from this direction. I tried but after ep 4 I gave up. They speak Spanish but after a few minutes they don't speak and understand, they cannot decide if they speak or not. It suppose to be a comedy but I almost fall asleep of ridiculous scenes. Definitely should be stopped after first sezon without any renew. No comedy , no substance, no action, no anything.

I hope Eva longaria makes better choices than this in the future.

I don't speak Spanish but saw Eva Longoria was in it and the story seemed interesting; it is a mix of Spanish and English but has English subtitles. Glad I decided on it because it is a show that really pulls you in. The characters feel real and relatable, with each one adding something special to the mix; the actors do a great job bringing their roles to life. It says it is a drama but does have funny parts with some quirky characters and I like that it has enough positive; I am not a fan of dramas that don't put enough positive. If is all around a good watch and look forward to the next season!

I had some hope for this show, but it took less than 15 minutes to see that the characters are unredeemable. Why would anyone want to watch any show with such horrible characters. It reminded of school bullies and entitled jerks, basically all the types of people I want to avoid. Just watching how they behave is stressful. Even the way they treat each other is bad. My family made me shut it off after 15 minutes but I outlasted them. Unfortunately I regretted wasting the time, as it only got worse. The situations were ridiculous and the dialogue didn't help. I really hope they get rid of this show and give a much better Hispanic centric show a chance!!

Eva Longoria's character was so disgusting, arrogant and entitled. Her childish self righteousness sets an extremely bad example for women. I couldn't even make it to the end of the first episode. How does someone crash into someone else, blame the other driver and then feel entitled to stay at his house after it was made clear that he bought it and owns it himself? It's so cringe and disgusting. The nerve of this woman and the entitlement is off the charts. It's emblematic of our failed society and is the reason why people these days are entitled. Because they look up to actresses like this....

Eva Longoria wanted escapist TV as she found the current TV shows too stressy and scarily too real. I couldn't agree more with her. There are not enough light shows out there. I've often found myself going back and watching Desperate Housewives, Devious Maids, Emily in Paris etc and so was absolutely thrilled to see a trailer for this new series Land of Women.

She has absolutely achieved her goal with Land of Women! I absolutely love it. I love the mix of English and Spanish dialogue. The characters are great and filming locations just make me want to board a plane to the Catalonia region to explore.

I love that they speak spanish in this comedy it reminds me of desperate housewives gabys character which is refreshing, i always wanted more. So far im hooked on the plot, great story so far. My only gripe is the daughters character doesnt seem to be a great actor the voice pitches are all over the place. Like pick a tone it really takes me out of immersion because i keep getting annoyed with the sudden shifts in her vocal pitch and tone. I get that the character is trans but if jewels from euphoria can do it honey, so can you. The story seems exciting and they sure are in for an adventure, Im looking forward to watching the rest of the season! Im hoping its more than one!

Such a funny & and delightful story. Eva Longoria is an amazing actor, one of the best series on Apple TV combine many ingredients that become the series in a very funny , entertaining story. Also I love how they can pass from the English to the Spanish language, well done. So if you want to see something different laugh a bit, laying down in your bed and watching a great serie , with a different perspective and feel the same kind of feeling of being in the middle of nowhere in an small town in Spain with wonderful actress you can really enjoy this, it's light, simple and raw, so sit and enjoy.

The first season turned out to be a funny and quirky modern rom-com. As the episodes progressed and the female characters became more well-defined, I wanted to keep watching as the plot developed.

Apple has produced too many shows that have not held my interest. I won't list them here but I would say that 70% of their library.doesn't keep me interested. I have a habit of discontinuing my subscription when a favorite series such as "Slow Horses" or "Pachinko" is paused between seasons. I was about to leave again when I discovered this show and "Sugar". It's great to have a comedy with a not too dark murder mystery as a complication. I also love the actors...most are seasoned professionals that I have seen over the years in many a drama.

Let's have a second season....please!!!!

Just finished watching this series and I felt good, not great, but good. This "limited series" kick that studios and SS present is code for "were cheap and so us this show, probably".

Eva Longoria is great. I love her in all her iterations and styles. The cast around her is only mediocre but I think the writing might be the reason. I was pleasantly surprised by Victoria Bazua, the trans actor who plays Kate, the daughter in this show. And it's also important to watch this show in its original Spanish language format. If you keep your expectations low and have some time to kill watching Apple+, then you might be entertained.

The role of her daughter was just not convincing for me and her voice kept cracking. She was super snippy and not seasoned enough to carry the show with Eva. The dynamic was not there with this trio, I found it not funny. I need to be convinced of kinship and these casted roles were too far fetched with no dynamics. I love Eva in Desperate House Wives (all sorts of dynamics there) and that is why I tuned into this show. The show did not meet my expectations, this show actually turned me off. I could not get past the first episode and Im bilingual so I understood every word. Perhaps known and proven actors along side her in this role would have propelled the energy significantly.
