The long-awaited, long-delayed Tokyo Revengers: Last Mission has finally been released, with the game now available on iOS, Android and PC. The title adopts a "re-experience" format, letting players take control of the main character Takemichi and his gang of rebels to rewrite the course of Tokyo Revengers canon through time-leaping action.

Originally slated for a February 2024 release, the initial game launch date was put off with good intentions. Developers used the delay to refine its mechanics and graphics, resulting in a smoother, more visually compelling experience that successfully delivers on the animes atmosphere and action, including a ballyhooed Joint Battle System for more dynamic combat.

The defamation trial between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife, Amber Heard was a huge public spectacle in 2022. The months-long trial showed accusations of abuse from both sides, along with other allegations. In the end, the jury ruled in favor of the Pirates of the Caribbean actor but the damages to their reputations were already done.

Of the many accusations Heard levied against her former husband, one included his alleged abuse over another actor. The Aquaman actress claimed that her then-husband hated a Marvel actor. James Franco, who starred as Harry Osborn in Spider-Man, worked with the actress twice and this was the reason behind Depp’s alleged hatred.

The dramatic defamation trial began on 11 April and continued till 1 June 2022, in Fairfax County, Virginia. The ex-spouses Johnny Depp and Amber Heard put several allegations against each other, one major one was of abuse.

For instance, there’s Tom Hanks’ The Da Vinci Code and its sequel Angels & Demons, all 10 seasons of the beloved sci-fi series Stargate Sg-1, and popular Adam Sandler flicks 50 First Dates and Little Nicky, among many others.

But it’s not only the big name titles that’ll be vying for your attention, as Netflix is also adding a number of overlooked flicks that are hoping to get a second life on the service and one such film that you may want to keep an eye on if you’re in the mood for an action thriller with some solid talent in it is 3 Days to Kill.

The year is almost over. The Hargreeves kids have saved the world and Beth Harmon has checkmated her last opponent. But in its new releases for December 2020, Netflix still has some tricks up its sleeve.

For starters, Netflix is ending this most curious year with some promising original films. David Fincher’s long-awaited Mank arrives on Dec. 4 to fill us in on the story of Citizen Kane‘s screenwriter. Then on Dec. 11, Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, and James Corden do their best musical impression with The Prom. Chadwick Boseman’s final film Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom debuts on Dec. 18. Then George Clooney rounds out the month with The Midnight Sky on Dec. 23.

But of course, it’s in the original series realm where Netflix does most of its work. The biggest one comes at month’s end this December. The final season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina premieres on New Year’s Eve.

Somehow, December starts on Tuesday even though it only feels like yesterday that the world was turning as normal and everyone was going about their business as usual before the Coronavirus pandemic came along and changed everything. As is the case every time we enter a new month, though, the various streaming services on offer are adding a whole host of new titles to their libraries and over the next seven days, Netflix has more than 50 movies and TV shows heading our way.

The list contains about everything you’d expect, from some all-time classics to several pretty terrible efforts that still stand a decent chance of cracking the Top 10 most-watched list, while there are even a couple of Adam Sandler films thrown in for good measure along with a handful of high-profile originals, and you can check out the full and exhaustive selection below.

We’ve now got just a few days left of November, so it’s time to take a look ahead at everything that’s headed to the major streaming networks in December. As it’s Christmas, Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO Max, Hulu and Prime Video have extra special hauls ready to gift to their subscribers this holiday season, with literally hundreds of new movies and TV shows dropping over the course of the month.

All the various sites – excepting Disney Plus – are serving up a ton of newly licensed films on December 1st. Netflix, for instance, is adding such classics as E.T., Little Nicky and the first three Jurassic Parks. Meanwhile, HBO Max is offering up The Shawshank Redemption, Shaun of the Dead and a bunch of Final Destinations, while Hulu and Prime Video, which share a lot of the same movies, are treating users to a host of iconic...

After Taken became a surprise box office success that reinvented Liam Neeson as cinema’s most bankable action star on the cusp of his 60th birthday, many actors of a similar age suddenly pricked up their ears. When audiences proved so willing to embrace Neeson’s Bryan Mills throat-punching his way across Europe, a slew of titles swiftly arrived to spawn the so-called ‘geriaction’ subgenre.

Luc Besson’s EuropaCorp were at the forefront of this, hiring ageing stars to lead the production company’s standard B-level efforts, although results were decidedly mixed. For instance, John Travolta’s From Paris with Love remains an underrated gem, but the same can’t be said for Kevin Costner’s 3 Days to Kill.

Directed by the reliably mediocre McG, the movie follows Costner’s terminally ill elite CIA operative, who retires from the game to spend time with his estranged wife and daughter.

With just a few days of November left, we’ve now got a look at what’s coming to Netflix across December and the following breakdown gives us a strong idea of what to expect from the streaming giant next month. As you can see down below, it promises that a number of exciting original releases are on their way. Many of these are some of the most-anticipated titles of the year as well, meaning Netflix has truly saved the best for last.

On December 1st, we know to expect animated sequel Angela’s Christmas Wish and The Holiday Movies That Made Us, a documentary which looks at the best Christmas films around, while a ton of licensed titles will be added as well. Adam Sandler’s beloved 50 First Dates will be joining the platform, along with Jon Favreau’s excellent Chef, two Jurassic Park movies and more.

The name EuropaCorp might not mean much on first glance, but any self-respecting fan of the action genre has seen at least a handful of the production company’s movies. Founded by Luc Besson, EuropaCorp specializes in mid-budget and almost universally mediocre actioners that tend to provide a halfway decent slice of Friday night entertainment before fading entirely from memory. Responsible for the Transporter and Taken franchises along with Colombiana, Lockout, 3 Days to Kill, Brick Mansions, Anna and many more, you know exactly what to expect when you see their logo play in front of the credits.

If you’ve seen even just one mid-budget and completely forgettable action movie in the last fifteen years, then there’s a distinct possibility that Luc Besson may have been involved.

The writer, director and producer has delivered some solid genre work behind the camera with the likes of La Femme Nikita, Leon: The Professional, The Fifth Element and Lucy, but his EuropaCorp production company made their name churning out a series of generic shoot em’ ups that convinced a roster of A-list talents to try their luck at becoming action stars.

The most successful experiment by far was Taken, which launched Liam Neeson towards an unlikely late-career resurgence as an action hero, but for the most part, EuropaCorp’s output has been characterized by tepid reviews and lukewarm box office numbers. IMDb TV is now the streaming home of “Chicago Fire” seasons 1-6 — offering catch-up viewing for fans of the Dick Wolf-produced NBC primetime hit starting Friday (Dec. 6) for free.

It’s the biggest single licensing pact to date for IMDb TV, which is Amazon’s bid to capture share in the ad-supported VOD space. Terms aren’t being disclosed. IMDb acquired U.S. rights to “Chicago Fire,” part of the Wolf’s triumvirate of Windy City dramas along with “Chicago P.D.” and “Chicago Med,” from Wolf Entertainment and NBCUniversal’s Universal Television.

In addition, IMDb TV will offer all five seasons of “Friday Night Lights,” beginning Dec. 31, on a nonexclusive basis, also from Universal TV. All episodes of the high-school football drama, which has proven to be a perennial fan-favorite, are currently available on Amazon Prime Video and Hulu.

Matt Reeves will unleash the diva in Hailee Steinfeld in Netflix's upcoming feature Idol.

Hell nos and headphones are paying for the new kid. Hailee Steinfeld is in talks to star in and produce Idol, a musical drama for Netflix. The feature film will be produced by Dawn of the Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves's 6th & Idaho production company, according to Variety.

Netflix beat out Universal and Paramount for the project. Reeves will not direct the film. He is currently developing The Batman film at Warner Bros. Pictures, and the science fiction series Recursion for Netflix.

The screenplay was written by Matt King. Federal, Republic Records' film division, already has a deal to release the original soundtrack. Steinfeld, who hit the charts with singles like “Love Myself” and “Starving,” may also be involved in the music.

The top twelve films grossed a combined $271.2 million, of which the top two films — Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Incredibles 2 — accounted for 84% of that gross. Netflix has teamed with director McG for alien invasion sci-fi adventure film Rim of the World.

McG, otherwise known as Joseph McGinty Nichol, has been keeping himself busy, both as a director of action flicks and as a television producer for, up until recently, shows like Supernatural, Fox's beleaguered, currently on-the-bubble Lethal Weapon, and Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments, and is currently developing a TV series adaptation of the 1994 Arnold Schwarzenegger spy actioner, True Lies. However, the fruits of his film directing resume keep heading to streaming giant Netflix, and one such project, called Rim of the World, will be no exception.

Brian De Palma action thriller Domino will see Game of Thrones stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Carice Van Houten opposite one another.

Legendary director Brian De Palma, who amongst other iconic efforts, directed the 1996 inaugural film in the lucrative-as-ever Mission: Impossible film franchise, returns to the action thriller table with Domino. The film is headlined by a duo Game of Thrones cast members whose characters we can't wait to see share the screen on the series before its imminent end, namely the Kingslayer himself, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and the Red Witch herself, Carice Van Houten.

De Palma’s directorial offering Domino – not to be confused with the late Tony Scott’s 2005 Keira Knightley-starring bounty hunter biopic – is being distributed in the U.S. by Saban Films.

The trailer for Domino showcases what appears to be a cat-and-mouse suspense thriller.

Ryan Kavanaugh and Tucker Tooley at Relativity Media have been through different manifestations through the years that involved grand enterprises like slate financing half of the movies in Hollywood at one time, and plotting an IPO in the near future. The story of this festival has been the number of upstart companies that bought films as they re-brand themselves into indie distribution players. They include the soon-to-be-renamed Millennium buying Madame Bovary, EuropaCorp buying Big Game for its new domestic distribution pipeline Red, and Rlj/Image acquiring the Thomas McCarthy-directed Adam Sandler comedy The Cobbler.

Relativity has also been honing its own identity, and it made the first two deals of the festival, buying the completed picture The Woman in Black 2, and Kidnap, a thriller that Halle Berry will star in. Relativity chased the Chris Rock film Top Five and premiered two films here, Beyond The Lights and Hector And The Search For Happiness.

Pompeii and 3 Days to Kill open nationwide this weekend, though neither seems poised to break out at the domestic box office. As a result, animated hit The Lego Movie should easily take the top spot for the third-straight week.When Mount Vesuvius unexpectedly erupted in 79 A.D., it decimated the ancient Roman city of Pompeii. Director Paul W.S. Anderson, best known for his work on the Resident Evil franchise, brings this disaster to life in Pompeii, which is opening at 2,658 locations this weekend.Marketing for the movie has primarily focused on the disaster, which does look fairly impressive. Unfortunately, the human element is lacking. While there have been hints at the central romance, it has for the most part been overshadowed by the volcano (the poster is a good example of this).
