Last year, Charles Band’s company Full Moon announced that they were launching a new production label called Pulp Noir, which would focus on “edgier, weirder, darker horror and dark fantasy films.” Two Pulp Noir movies, Quadrant and Death Streamer, have since made their way through production – and while those movies were initially released in color, all of the Pulp Noir movies will also get black & white “noir” releases, so there are both color and black & white versions of Quadrant and Death Streamer available on the Full Moon Features streaming service. While we wait for more Pulp Noir movies to be made, Band has started going through the Full Moon library to give some of their older films the black & white / noir treatment. Last month, a “noir” version of the 1984 sci-fi thriller Christmas classic Trancers was released through Full Moon Features and YouTube, as was a black & white version of the 1997 creature feature The Creeps.

And that someone was writer/director Michael Dibiasio-Ornelas, who serves up one of the highest concept genre films since Slotherhouse.

The new action thriller, The Caretaker is Fady Jeanbart’s feature film directorial debut and is a co-production between Millman Productions, Pyramax Productions, Babe Entertainment, Triple Origin Productions LLC, and Ron Lee Productions.

Millman Productions run by industry veteran Jeff Miller. Jeff is an active producer with over 30 years in the business. The Caretaker is his forty-second feature as a producer. Filming is currently under way in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The film stars Avaryana Rose, Robert Bronzi, Daniel Baldwin, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, and Paul Logan.

Executive producers are Tareq Salah, Paul M. Gahng Jr., Ashvat Shivaram Shetty, Ronnie D. Lee, and Brandon Gibbs. Co-producer is Robert Savakinus. Consulting producer is Dylan Matlock. Paul Logan is fight coordinator. Michael Su is director of photography. Nancy Foster is production designer.

Charles Bronson look-alike Robert Bronzi and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, who followed in the footsteps of Mr. T for the A-Team movie, star in the action thriller The Caretaker, which Deadline reports is now filming in Nevada. I wasn’t familiar with Robert Bronzi’s wild career as an actor, carpenter, musician, and horseman until Mark Savage’s 12 to Midnight fell into my lap. And after watching this insanely entertaining film, which has the look and feel of a home movie, I can see why Bronzi’s all the rage. But even his Wild West gunslinging and man-of-few-words mysterious air couldn’t make Savage’s film much better than Threat Level Midnight (I hope you get this The Office reference). But I also have to admit that this supremely bad tale of a werewolf and a grieving detective is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a while. So, let’s see what all the fuss is about.

No, that’s not a typo, for their latest mockbuster, The Twisters the folks at The Asylum simply added “The” to the title of the film they’re cashing in on. That’s a pretty ballsy move even for them, and since I haven’t heard of any lawsuits being filed, they seem to have gotten away with it, much like they did simply tacking an “s” onto the end of The Exorcist and releasing The Exorcists a few months ago.

The film even opens with Detective Toth (Robert Bronzi) walking in on, and bloodily dispatching, a couple of armed robbers who are standing between him and his beer. “You look familiar,” the shaken cashier tells him. “I get that a lot”.
